I have to agree with David! I always make myslef a super sexy male character. People should be allowed to make sexy females to if that is how they want to play the game. Its really not that serious, its a fantasy game. Let people enjoy it the way they want.

I was lucky that the default chest size was exactly what I find most attractive. It's not just about having massive ones either. What if you want em small? What if you have big ones and wanna represent yourself? Customization is not objectifying. Also there was some other stuff the western release censored. One character and one outfit.
The boob slider isn't the only thing that was removed in western XCX, afaik some of the outfits were censored. I'm not sure in what capacity but afaik the appearance of swimsuits and bunny suit were altered if equipped on the character Lin. Not sure if other stuff was changed.
They were censored even on the Avatar and Elma too, adult characters. And the way they were censored on Lin was so dumb, the gave her bloomers and a sports bra.

Dungeon & Fighter is a 'massive' MMO, kinda beat 'em up like; it has/had loads of players, especially in Korea/China (as usual, they're doing their own thing). Because China is such a massive market - but a largely mobile/PC market, like Korea (consoles aren't much of a thing there) - their games often are popular just there, but it's more than enough to make obscene amount of money (like HoYo games, such as Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail). Mobile games in general make the most money 'by far'. Sadly, typical JRPGs don't come even remotely close.
So if I'm remembering correctly the supposed reasoning at the time for removing the tiddy slider wasn't to prevent us from creating the busty waifus of our dreams, it was actually because of the opposite. Some armors were too revealing and Nintendo (of America (well, Treehouse really (actually just some prudes at Treehouse))) didn't want us putting flat, loli looking characters in them. This is at least reinforced by how some armors were censored for Lin, but the player model wouldn't have access to those versions. Whatever the case, I'm tired boss. 😮💨
If the censorship is covering a bit a 13 years old character, I think I agree with that. It doesn't change the rest of the game or character so I think is just a very tiny change.
It's games like Baldurs Gate 3 where I would be abit annoyed with censorship. Obviously it a Game made for Adults in mind, very Adult dialogue so it makes sence for that to be optional.
The controversy is taking customization away from the female avatar model and censoring the outfits on the Avatar and Elma who are Adult Characters. But the way they censored Lin was so lazy.
It's *IN* the Japanese version of the game. Only reason to censor it is for ideological narcissistic reasons. If you (or others) dont want to see it, just don't equip the item.

I'm just glad I can soon play it again on a system that currently works. I'm a little grumbly about how my boys treated the Wii U gamepad and disk reader. At least our Wii U still powers up and turns on.

Dungeon & Fighter: ARAD sounds like it will be based off the popular Dungeon & Fighter series outside the U.S. They brought us fighting games like DNF Duel (which didn't sell so well, although I do have a copy for the PS5 - My kiddos love fighting games and anime).
My stance on Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition having the same censorship that the WIIU version had is I really don't care if you want to be upset over the censorship from the WIIU version returning aka removal of the boob slider for the female version of Cross/CaC, and removal of very skimpy, and fan-servicey outfits and armor for the female playable characters in the game including the female version of Cross then that's fine you do you. As for me I want to play this for the same reason why I wanted to play the original version on WIIU that being I want to play a awesome open-world JRPG and lose myself in the beauty of the world, explore it, have fun with the MMO-esque combat, do interesting quests Main, Side, and Affinity, learn more about the party members, enjoy the story both main and side, and of course listen to the banger soundtrack that this title like the main 3 Xenoblade titles have, not make my female version of Cross have bigger breasts, and dress her and the other female playable characters in very skimpy, and fan-servicey outfits.

Oh! The Khazan story takes place in the Dungeon Fighter Online series. It had an anime adaptation back in the mid-2000s that wasn't very good. I guess ever since Dungeon Fighter Online, the name changed to "Dungeon & Fighter" since. Kind of silly.

Xenoblade X, controversy...? Meh, it's the same one from before. A silly one, to be sure, but that's how they decided to handle the situation. I'm in it for the mechs, so the boob slider (or Lin's character design) doesn't concern me. Man, if they gave the mechs the same glow-up they gave the character textures... funny enough tha boob slider is in the western version but is blocked, some people throw emulation and cheat engine where manage the reactivate it, they can bring it back just very easy

People cried fowl that the boob slider was removed, and how Linlee's 13-year-old body was given a black undergarment to further censor her when you had her wear bikinis and bunny suits. She's 13 years old-- that's not even the age of consent in Japan, and people want to goon on her on principle alone?
People suddenly acting like game censorship hasn’t existed since the 80s. Yeah it sucks but it’s the reason a lot of your favorite games were able to come to the west at all to begin with. And also Japan censors violence out of their own games and when they localize western games

graces F remake baffles me. i coudlnt even finish the first game it bored me so badly. there are far better, far older tales games they should have worked on with this project.

It does kind of bum me out that they're going with the international version for Xenoblade X on Switch, but the rest of the game is still awesome and I'm so glad the whole series is gonna be in one place! I promise not to dress any of my custom characters in lime green xD

Xenoblade X, controversy...? Meh, it's the same one from before. A silly one, to be sure, but that's how they decided to handle the situation. I'm in it for the mechs, so the boob slider (or Lin's character design) doesn't concern me. Man, if they gave the mechs the same glow-up they gave the character textures... How many copies can I pre-order?

funny enough tha boob slider is in the western version but is blocked, some people throw emulation and cheat engine where manage the reactivate it, they can bring it back just very easy

I never heard of either of those games either. The only Berserk I know is the anime and that's a ecchi type of anime. The other I guess is an action MMORPG? That's probably why I got no clue about it unless it's like in my face type like Honkai. I saw Valis thru somebody playing it on youtube and thought it was so cool and I like that anime style of the 80's. Never thought Valis The Fantasm Soldier Collection Launcher would get a release and come to find out it might be censored on Steam just great... Steins;Gate reboot? Wasn't Elite good enough? What else could be done besides actual animation to make it better?

The censorship issue was brought up when the Xenoblade X first released back in 2015 as well. People cried fowl that the boob slider was removed, and how Linlee's 13-year-old body was given a black undergarment to further censor her when you had her wear bikinis and bunny suits. She's 13 years old-- that's not even the age of consent in Japan, and people want to goon on her on principle alone?
