Slash lied on Axel and cheated out of money
@guitarmeetsscience
You never cover the women guitarists or the female rock singers. An occasional nod to the marginalized would be nice. We know they are out there somewhere.
@Brembelia your absolutely right! I taught guitar for a living once upon a time..... Who were my smartest and most motivated students? You bet - female guitar players. Thank you for that, there are some women that can shred the hell out of it. Definitely going into the bucket list. I appreciate it!!!
early my Sr. HS year (class of '88), a friend of mine played me Appetite shortly after the album was released. we had just endured 5-6 years where new wave and hair metal dominated mainstream. never could get into it and was still listening to my parent 60s and 70s music. i also started playing guitar in the late 70s so my focus was on classic rock. but then came GnR who brought back the 70s sound with a new grungy edge. we called it raunch rock. by the time Appetitie was hitting the charts, we had already wore that record out. i also discovered Janes Addiction and RHCP shortly after GnR. It was a rebirth of rock that opened up mainstream to grunge. i finally got to see GnR in June '91. They played 3 hours 45 minutes without a break and would have played longer had the Greensboro Coliseum not turned them off at 2AM. later that AM, I had a summer school presentation to make and recall not being able to hear myself talk.
Absolutely right - that's interesting you bring that up, because in a way GNR were part of the spark that kicked off the grunge movement. And it makes sense.... For one thing they blended punk influences in. Almost like how Van Halen saved us from disco prior, guns n' roses pulled us out of that glitzy pop glam slump.
for your next video can you please do how Rock artists inspire and influence by Bob Marley.
alex
@@guitarmeetssciencethat's right. I absolutely hate it when people try to lump GNR in with the hair metal bands. Yeah I know they came up on the strip alongside a lot of those bands but they were the antithesis of hair metal, and without GNR there never would have been a Nirvana. You can't get more alternative than Welcome to the Jungle when that video hit Mtv.
I assume you see them at Inglewood what a lucky bastard you are
I appreciate that Slash never went flashy in an era that was all about flashy. Dude has so much feel.
So much feel and so much honesty and who's playing
Cuz he can’t
i ran into slash at universal studios when i was on my bachelor party at horror nights, wasn't able to get a picture cuz he said he didn't want a line to form but he was nice and told us to have a nice night, cool guy
What year was that? (I work at USH).
@@liquidbraino 2022 it was towards the end of october, he was being shown around by john murdy, i got a pic with murdy
Very cool!
Slash has always been my favorite part of GNR. Axl definitely had his place and I love his vocals, but Slash is just special. He's so cool and seems so down to earth
Exactly - he was really the balancing force of that band
Bro axl is just stupid, he had a much bigger potencial (for the shows) but he threw it to the trash
About as down to earth as a hot air balloon
I did security for Slash at Sundance awhile ago and he is the coolest guy I ever met, super humble, super respectful and just a all around good dude
That is pretty awesome! A lot of accounts of people who had the opportunity to meet him have said pretty much the same thing. Very down to earth guy. I appreciate you sharing that!!
@@guitarmeetsscience Your welcome Slash tipped me and my partner $100 each for 30 minutes worth of work. I distinctly remember he was the only one sober in his group and I was told that Slash had quit the hard stuff after the time that Nikki Sixx overdosed and that led to the song " Kick Start My Heart" . He is the epitome of how an individual who is famous and has money should act and how to treat people who are not on the famous or rich level of life. Slash said hello, goodbye, please and thank you all he asked was that his group and himself just be allowed to sit in the VIP section, kick back and listen to the band that was playing and not have to be overwhelmed with fans rushing the VIP box. Which we did and after he graciously signed a few autographs and took a few pics and we escorted him and his people out the black and Slash handed us a bill each and shook our hands and thanked us for giving him a peace of mind a piece of normalcy for a short period of time. Slash's girlfriend or wife was super cool as well, she was smoking hot and extremely down to earth
Slash taught my second cousin guitar lesson, slash is a great guitarist, I saw G&R last year in Fenway Park, they nailed it, I was very impressed!!!!
Very very cool 🤘🤘
how much it cost to have guitar lessons with slash? was long time ago or he was already famous
@@matt-SonsofLamech it was Michael Liberty boy , liberty did business in California
Slash's still as shy as he was as a youngster. Sooo cute❣️
That particular Riff eventually used in Sweet Child Of Mine was a mere warm up riff.
Goofing off Slash wanted to create a festive carnival type sound and again it was only warm up.
Once Izzy and Axl heard it they ran with it.
That’s what amazed Slash when it was a silly warm up riff in his eyes.
The best thing about social media is the ability to learn from YT videos specifically awn the Art Forms of the many genres, thanks for sharing 💯☮️
Thank you so much - it's comments like this one that are very inspiring. Much appreciated!
Gilby Clark went on to play for Ann and Nancy Wilson. i met them at the PETRO truck stop near Roanoke Virginia in Febuary of 2001. It was about 1am, they had just played Roanoke. they were sober, very friendly and in happy spirits. it was great to meet musicians who didnt let fame ruin their talent or their social skills.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing that! 🤘🤘
Slash is awesome!
🤘😎🤘
.
I love that they brought up Axl being late all the time. When I went to see Guns & Roses on the Use Your Illusion tour, Skid Row opened up, and it wasn't till almost 2.5 hours before Guns finally decided to show up. Axl made a bunch of excuses as to why, but in my honest opinion, Skid Row could have played longer, OR they could have had another opening band. Whatever the reason, Axl finally brought up that they're used to rehearsing late at night and wanted to give us the best show possible. A year later, I met Slash, and I have to say he really was the coolest dude.
Very cool experience aside from the late part! And it turns out slash is really big on punctuality - so it must have drove him nuts too.
Was that at the Alpine Valley gig or did they just do that so the time?
@@TwistOfFate444 This happened at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY, in, I believe, 1991. Great show, even though they showed up about 2.5 hours later than they should have. Skid Row could have played another set, OR they could have had a 2nd warm-up band.
I saw that same tour in Denver and Skid Row blew them Off the stage. This was the first concert I ever saw TV’s all around the stage with the lyrics scrolling across the screen for Axl. I Lost any and all respect
I had for him at that point. Who can’t remember the lyrics to their own songs? They had one of the greatest debut albums of all time with appetite and sucked hind tit after that.
Slash and Angus Young are the 2 beasts lead guitarist ever pure Rock-N-Roll as it should be...
These videos are awesome. This is quickly becoming my favorite TH-cam channel. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your kind words! 🤘😎🤘
shoplifting a tophat is an achievement in itself.
Hahaha Yes it is! Unless it's one of those magic ones that flatten out
@@guitarmeetsscience Thats what i was thinking too. but Id like to think it isn't. Maybe he walked out wearing it and the clerk was like "wow that's slash!" And then: "wait, who is slash even?" And by then it was already too late because he was now Slash,
@jussiniemi9560 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am most certain that is a plausible theory lmao
It's amazing how many musicians and actors have family ties to Hollywood, etc. Obviously, the skills have to be developed to be great ones, but it's just uncanny. Check out Slashs' mother for example.
Guns and roses SLASH is the one that helped me fall in love with Rock &Roll if I never heard his guitar licks and solo I would have only been a country only fan as that's what my papa pounded into my head.
I think I was the first of my friends to have the cassette tape of appetite for destruction, it was the summertime 87. We were blown away by it we listened to it all summer long, they were super talented bad boys, a lot less effeminate than the other bands that were popular at the time.
That is pretty cool - we came up in a similar fashion, I also ended up with the cassette. Mr brownstone had been cut off about halfway through, so I did tape to tape copying in an effort to cobble together something that resembled the whole song. I listened to the whole thing ad nauseam.... Got so used to it that when I heard the full version of Mr brownstone it was like unearthing some alternative take on it lol
Patience and I Used To Love Her were the 2 best songs on the Lies album. Appetite was definitely their best album, but Use Your Illusion I and II were freaking great too. Slash is a king ❤
The acoustic version of You're Crazy is one of the best. I love that one more than the original.
Slash...one of a kind. Main reason why did I listen G' n' R. ❤❤❤❤
Love slash, I also love buckethead, never understood why fans would choose one over the other. I love how unique and similar they are.
You're right - both are awesome!
We used to have so much fin dancing to GNR when I was in Middle School 💜💃They had the best energy!
They absolutely did! Love some GNR 🤘🤘
I'm with Izzy, without Steven Adler GNR lost their swing/groove and became a parody of their former selves, but at least they gave us 'Live ?!★@ Like A Suicide' , 'Appetite' and 'Lies'
Absolutely right on!
I love Steven's drumming!
Dude. Matt Sorum is a beast of a drummer and 10 times more talented than Adler. Adler is a fine drummer but he certainly can't hold a candle to Sorum. Steven just let the drugs and booze control him and mess up his playing. Civil war on U.Y.I. is the only Adler song on both albums and it's literally pieced together from 30+ takes because Adler was too fd up to even perform. He had to be replaced. They really got the best drummer then.
I think Ryan Roxie once said Snakepit was 'rock's best-kept secret' and he's so right Both line-ups and albums are incredible. Rod (Monterey) Jackson's voice works so well on Ain't Life Grand. But the grit of Dover's voice was also so fitting. Slash knew how to put a band together.
Oh yeah - that was some serious hard rocking all the way. It's a shame they didn't break out the way Slash hoped.... Really it just came down to the fact that he was a part of a machine that was overshadowing everything at that time.
Bought Slash a beer and a shot in Honolulu at Gussie Lamores after 1st tour Snakepit show. He was very cool and approachable. Might have been stoned LOL
Pretty cool story - no doubt he might have been lol
Really well done video. I was running around crazy in L.A. back in the early '80s and all through the decade until '95. Working with friends bands and at S.I.R. studios as stage manager during the day and doing concert lighting at night. Hanging out at the Rainbow all the time, Canter's, Bordners, the Central which became the Viper Room, my best friends were all in working bands, I was a doorman at a strip club for four years, became estate manager for Roseanne Barr, followed around by paparazzi, ended up in tabloids, then in '95 moved to NorCal to be anonymous. It kinda worked. I didn't tell people about my past and friends but they'd come over to my house and see photos and backstage passes collection and they always wondered how I got passes for almost any concert that I went to. Then found myself hanging out with very well known rock stars and dating ex wife of a well known guitar player and when I moved back to LA in 2012 i started hanging out with a girl friend of mine i've known since kindergarten and she had just finished working as Slash's personal assistant for the last 12 or 13 years. We had been running around in the same circles in LA and Bay Area knew the same people but somehow never ran into each other . So weird.
Anyways great video. Really well done
Man - you've got some cool stories! I appreciate you sharing that, and I think it's going to be a great read for folks arriving here in the comment section. And also thank you for the kind words, from somebody who's been on the scene that is truly a huge compliment. I really do appreciate it!
@@guitarmeetsscience --- thanks for taking the time to reply and for the kind words.
I gave the brief story, not dropping a whole bunch of names and a lot the wild life I lived and still live. Hahahaha I've had a lot of people tell me I should write a book or record an interview telling about my life. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I think no one would be interested in my stories. Hahahahaha
@13_13k You definitely should - if you have enough first hand accounts there are always people out there who will eat stories up like that.
@@guitarmeetsscience --- I have so many true stories that I feel like I'm lying when I tell them to people. Hahahaha that's why I don't talk about things very often. I always feel like people are thinking to themselves I'm one of those people making shit up because nobody could have so many actual stories that are true. It starts as a kid also and still at 59 years old I'm still doing things that people dream about doing. And I've done those things a hundred times.
@13_13k we're interested!!!
I was 12 and a budding guitarist when Appetite came out. I had this crappy pawn shop special guitar from the 60’s and I wanted to be Slash and get a Les Paul. I finally got one after working my ass off on the farm I grew up on all summer.
The Les Paul he used on Appetite and seen on the Welcome to the Jungle video wasn't a Gibson.
Pretty damn cool story!
@@TheRealcdawg22
I didn’t know that. My teacher told me about the used Les Paul I got from the music store I took lessons at. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. It was built in 1978. Someone had put a Kahler on it with a locking nut. I had that removed years later. I had Zakk Wylde sign it on the back. I will never get rid of that guitar. I still play it every day and on stage.
@guitarmeetsscience Yeah, I don't remember what brand the copy was, but Gibson and Epiphone made SLASH signature models based on the look of his original (unoriginal) copy.
Since then, there have been more Slash signature models designed the way Slash wanted them. He has a bunch of Gibsons now. I am sure. There must be someone out there who has a better or more complete grasp of the story behind Slash's guitars than I do.
I have always wondered about that red Mockingbird he played in the "You Could Be Mine" video from the Terminator II sountrack and on one of the Use Your Illusion albums. I assume it was a BC Rich, but I don't know anything about it.
As far as amps go, I am aware that Slash likes and uses the Marshall Silver Jubilee. I got a good look at them one time when I saw Velvet Revolver.
He also uses a Dunlop Rackmount Crybaby unit that I think he has 4 - 6 rocker/treadle units spread around at different points on the stage that are connected to the rackmount unit.
Slash also likes Alnico II magnets in his pickups with just a slightly overwound coil at the bridge. Not aggressively overwound, as one might assume. I believe he has a Signature set with Seymour Duncan.
That's all the info that I remember about Slash. Surely, someone out there can fill it out even more.
@jamesmccormick875 That's cool! I'd love to hear more about your guitar. Just yesterday, I was telling my son the story of how/when I got Chris Cornell and Tom Morello to sign one of my guitars. It's a Hamer Double Cut (Korean) with an amber colored flamed maple top. It is very pretty. I call it Amber. I have several Les Paul double cut guitars. It's kinda my thang. I have several Hamers, some Gibsons, Epiphones, and others. I have several single-cut Les Pauls also and a bunch of other stuff.
It is a miracle any of these people are still alive!
@@AllenPortman oh man so true!!!

Must have been an awesome time to see them!
When I first heard the intro of Sweet Child of Mine, I at once fell in love with the guitar-sound. From loving the guitar-sound to loving the guitar-player it was only a very short hop. And I love him still, after all these years. ❤
That is awesome you found inspiration there. Sweet child is a great tune and slash's playing on it is incredible.
I love Slash what a great show men and I love Slash's new album it's great 🤘🤘
His new album really rocks!!!
I remember buying the original AFD lp in August '87, the one with the banned cover. I was in the record store buying old Misfits bootlegs, loved the cover, and the store owner mentioned that the music sounded like "'70s Aerosmith and The Cult on steroids, but ramped up to 11." It was an instant buy, by then no-one knew who they were until MTV played that iconic Live at The Ritz show in February '88. I distinctly remember they blew up huge after that gig.
Ha that analogy is perfect! '70s Aerosmith and the cult on steroids but ramped up to 11.... Nailed it!
This is amazing. Very well done

It is definitely great - The Brian Johnson track really surprised me. Never heard his voice tamed down like that lol

Everyone is glad Slash never ended up in a Poodle Band, a pretty boy fem band or Hair band.
Guns was the perfect fit for Slash and he went on to develop his very own look and personal brand. Top Hat and sunglasses.
Exactly - slash is such a great player though, Bret Michaels was on to it - the rest of the band not so much.
I loved AFD ,LIES and the use your illusion albums I used to listen to as a teen but SI didn't really do it for me and by that time grunge was on the rise with bands like Nirvana ,SG ,Alice in chains ,RHCP which I started listening to although Nirvana didn't really like GNR ,I could still appreciate what both bands were trying to accomplish ,GNR wanted the hard rock ,bluesy and velvet overtones while Kurt and co. Wanted fast punk ,heavy bass and a lot of distortion and mind bending licks similar to what slash plays ,I admire both Slash and Kurt for that type of playing
This is so well done, the writing and editing r just excellent. 👏👏👏
Thank you Johnny - that means a lot man 🤘🤘

I have respect for this man. He truly loves his craft, and the mere fact that he's anal about punctuality tells me he is professional.
Oh yeah - that was the biggest part that surprise me when I did this. Not that I saw him as a slacker or anything, I was just so surprised by how tough he was on punctuality. Always something new and fun to learn
Went to high-school with Lenny Kravitz? Did not know that. Smarter every day.
Right? It blew my mind too - I remember the collab of course, because that's one of my favorite songs always on the run - but I didn't realize their connection went much further back.
Great video love your stuff the whole story of appetite is interesting it only sold 200k by the end of 87 and the label declared it a dead album and then the real story maybe look into it it is a really great story of one in a million chance and some how won on a Sunday morning at 3 a.m maybe it would be a good video

Thank you Rebel!! You know your stuff when it comes to rock - It would have been funny imagining him playing in poison - that would have been short-lived for sure. Michael Jackson, I could totally see that because the top hat is so synonymous with slash's look, and Michael was always very strong about appearances. Still though, it was a pretty cool partnership they had. / Is indeed probably the hardest working guitar player out there right now. Thanks so much I appreciate it Rebel!!! 🤘😎🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
And arising from the rubble and ash of the LA scene. Kenny G
🤣 The hasselhoff of the music scene
First time I saw GnR they opened for Motley. They were complete unknowns, except for a couple of chicks in front of me who had on jean jackets with GnR patches on the back. Long story short...Motley was really good but played a very short set, at least for those days. As for GnR...they were all stoned. Slash (we did not know his name at the time) was slurring his speech, but a decent show. On the drive home from the concert the radio was blasting "Paradise City"......next day I was in the mall buying that cassette.
Second time I saw GnR was the stadium tour with Metallica. GnR came on second as they flip flopped the headlining. Axl didn't come out until well after midnight, prolly 2 am. They made us fans wait for at least 2-3 hours. Fun part is the titty cam was out....and the girls in the audience obliged for the Jumbotron.
Mind you...this is in Detroit. Rioting is a specialty. No way was the venue going to not let the show go on.
Anyway, the show ended I would guess around 4 am. I remember driving home and the sun was starting to come up. What a show, but that was when Axl was starting to let his ego run wild.
Back in the day.....GnR was just another hair band. They wore make u folks. They teased their hair folks. And their songs weren't much different than Dr. Feelgood (gritty, e.g. Welcome to the Jungle is no different to me) with even some ballads. I don't see them any different than the other heavyweights back then. They weren't.
Thanks for sharing that blast from the past. Very cool take on the band I must say. Yeah, they did .... Most of that though was more to fit in with the popular acts of the day looks wise. They got more natural as time went by - or at least natural in the guns n' roses sense. Thank you for sharing your take I appreciate it!

good video, though i found his story with Myles Kennedy completely omitted. I remember enjoying Kennedy's vocals similar to Axl's style in old GNR songs in absence of GNR at that time ))
Thanks man so true - I did not cover Kennedy whatsoever. I actually thought that it would work better on its own. So much there.
Say what you want about cc he was one awesome skier despite the hair spray. When I was 14 or 15 we rode a gondola at Killington together. We skied back down and all I can say is Talented guy .
I poked a little fun at CC, but he's always been considered a very cool guy. I didn't know that about his skiing - there's a fun fact right there. Awesome that you got to hang out with him. I totally dig CC as well.
Izzy was such an important part of the band and doesn’t get the recognition or credit for his influence in G&R. If you look at the written by credits on the songs from appetite. Izzy is on every single song. After he left the band. The songs sucked. It was very noticeable that Izzy was not in the band anymore. Slash is a great lead guitarist and all but without Izzy’s song writing and rhythm/solo playing. Guns and Roses sucked and was just a memory.
You're absolutely right - Izzy was very integral to their sound. He added that raw edge that was just gone after he left.
@@guitarmeetsscience after writing this comment. I went on a Izzy deep dive and realized that I had forgotten about how important his vocals were to the band. I’m sure that you’ve seen the video. But there’s a version of it’s so easy by velvet revolver and they bring Izzy on stage to play it with them. It’s one of the best versions I’ve ever seen. Short of the “88” live at the ritz show. Izzy was such a massive part of the band and in my opinion the heart of the rhythm section. Izzy and duffs backing vocals were on point!
I agree
Great band
Nossa os dois filhos do Slash são a cara dele qund ele era criança que lindos
Sí, son la viva imagen de su padre. Estoy seguro de que también serán músicos exitosos.

I saw Velvet Revolver open for Black Sabbath in Prague, CZ in 2005. I don't remember being too blown away. Black Sabbath gave us about 60 minutes and one encore. It felt like their last hurrah. Still happy I caught them one last time. The last time had been when Van Halen opened for them in my beautiful San Diego, CA on Dec. 6, 1979. That show was quite a trainwreck for Black Sabbath: equipment failures, burned out legends. VH killed them that night.
Oh I can imagine - Van Halen was on fire back in those days
I loved Velvet Revolver. I saw them in Oklahoma City.
I've seen Guns and Roses also back in the early 90s. I think that it was the Use Your Illusion tour. Matt Sorrum was the drummer.
Slash made a guest appearance at one of the Alter Bridge shows I saw. He came up onstage and played a song with the band (Mark, Myles, Brian, and Scott). "Rise Today" if I remember correctly. Miles Kennedy is also the vocalist/guitarist for Slash's band, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
Literally true,Alex was doing the flaming drumsticks on that tour with Sabbath and Ozzie was on his way to getting canned
It always has money behind it somewhere but leave the guy alone already, sheesh. Now tries to picture Slash getting air on a BMX and a half pipe
7:50 I don't think that's right (for Sweet Child o mine). I heard Slash say the lick was something he'd do for practice / as an exercise since it jumped strings a certain way and then he finally merged it to a song
It’s not an excersise he said it was supposed to be some sort of circus melody if you look on the guitar center interview he did and so axel heard them so then he added lyrics to that thus creating that song
@@albertsanchez1492 you think theres one right answer? have you read slashs books?

Not military necessarily, but generally affluent - and the parents provided a good deal of support for successful players like Slash. For the rest of us toiling at the bottom, for myself anyway, I just ignore all that crap. Get good at something, do it well, and let the BS hit the tabloids.
Not a word about Miles Kenny and the conspirators?? Seriously?? What about those amazing albums??
Absolutely amazing - I only mentioned them in passing due to time constraints - they deserve their own video believe me.
my Favourite International Band Ever!, enjoyed Eastern Creek 92!, Use Your Illusion Tour?, however, when they were maybe/ probably sharing groupies!, back in 83?, i just had my eye on 1 girl?, in my class!, Never Happened!.
I definitely don't doubt it when it comes to the groupies. Those were crazy times back then lol. Thanks for that comment! 🤘🤘
The "live era" 2 CD collection is a gem, covering the music of AFD, Lies and Illusions 1& 2. Give it a listen if you have a chance.
Мои любимые Гансики!Слэш, почему ты всегда в очках! хочется увидеть твои глаза!
Interesting, watch it to the end, but no mention of Slash's hat.
Well you're not supposed to skip the beginnings of videos or you miss all the best parts
1:01 Anyone know which Aerosmith album he played over and over at 14?
Aerosmith "Rocks" album..... And the song that was his biggest influence off of that was nobody's fault
@@guitarmeetsscience Thank you, appreciate the fast reply.
@NSBlack_Stallion 🤘🤘 no problem - I'm glad to see folks on here interested and asking questions. That makes it all worth it!
❤❤❤❤❤
🥰Serdecznie dziękuję 🥰
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
He is old! 59 years old already
Time flies!
@@guitarmeetsscience yes indeed. But he looked so young, I thought he was only in his 40’s.
Amen about michael jackson because he was so in he couldn't ever be out.
Exactly right - he was in deep. Turns out he died with a whole lot of debt as well. I just learned that.
Rich people
Anyone notice that rock stars are similar to politicians?
Not all rock stars!
I've just noticed that a lot of popular people had a foot in the door from the beginning of their career
@@timmccarthy66 I'm seeing a lot of that sentiment here on the slash video.... A band that really came up the hard way was Metallica. They were broke all the way through the recording of Ride the lightning.
I've always thought the part in November rain with slash out in the desert was stolen from aerosmith video Angel with Joe perry out on a road in the desert.
@@dianesaienni5466 It is definitely possible, I'm not sure who was involved with the production but often bands were also sharing staff and crew. It could have been as easily as somebody saying - Hey we did that Aerosmith shoot and it worked out pretty well let's try something like that here. Nevertheless, it definitely worked well for slash and GNR. Truly a standout moment.
The most unstable less lead singer? Try misunderstood. Axl is the best lead vocalist of our time.
One of rocks royal family Elvis Scott wieland Eddie Chris slash
Exactly!
Slash with Beth Hart?! WHAT!! PLEASE, TAKE MY MONEY NOW! BETH IS THE GREATEST FEMALE VOCAL GENIUS ON EARTH!
Beth is absolutely insane - especially when she kicks into those raspy screams.... Bluesy is all hell.
The only band that I can say reminds me of GNR is Avenge Sevenfold
That's an interesting parallel. Never thought about that!
I'm not a really a fan of Slash after reading his biography.
Why
Read it. Then you'll know.@@phoenixzappa7366
I feel bad for Steve Adler. Izzy was only guy who stood up for his style. Yes Steve had drug problems but so did everyone else. It was Axle start of control. Axe one member at a time. Axel got mental problems n Greed. Bring back original lineup. Let Frank Ferer play what Steven can not play
Lies, the last album with Adler.... didn't he do drums on Civil War?
Yes he did - I covered that as well in this video. Especially the fact that that one song is evidence of how different the groove got when they added Matt into the mix. But in terms of the actual last full album, yeah that was lies.
Except he was so fd up he couldn't even play the song in the studio. It was pieced together from over 30 + takes just to complete the song.
What's the first clip in the video of Slash in red boxer shorts and no pants?
That's just a clip of him goofing around at the airport 🤘🤣🤘
@@guitarmeetsscience Okay thanks. I was wondering if it was him using a walker or he had back surgery or something crazy. I watched it on quarter speed like a dozen times trying to figure it out.
@dranklive1522 oh yeah no he was fine.... He was just clowning around. Probably just keeping sane on the road lol
My birthday march 20th is a day that lots of shit happening should of just had a year tour slash and no more
And Adriana has regretted it ever since. She was drunk and coerced.
