Gorgeous! Just to help you out a bit the "box" is actually a drawer and the entire piece is a dresser. 😊 (You do amazing work!)

That patch didnt look so good with the gap in between the new and the old veneer. Mayby if you squared the broken piece off first and then replaced it with a new patch of veneer it would have blended in more precise.

Get an old flat head screw driver and cut a slit in the tip as a mini crow bar then you can prey out the nails the way you did when it slipped off the nail head

Glue and sawdust would make the fix better

  • @victor58010

Poor tool choice, buy a chisel or two ,no need to get expensive ones, screwdriver will cause more damage.
Small cutters will remove nails more easily.
Should have sanded the drawer bottom before replacing it,looks more professional. Nice finish ....Could have punched the nail deeper, and filled in above it.
Not trying to be negative ,but your time in repairing is valuable ,and scratches made by using wrong tools take time and effort to repair. Also ,if I was buying this at the price you charged,I wouldn't want to find a painted nail head in the wood.
Could have shaped the hole in the drawer front better before applying veneer patch

Hi and thanks for watching. This was one of my earlier videos where I had some poor knowledge of restorations. I just thought it be a fun video. Nowdays I have learned a lot and do things differently.

Do you have to rinse off the citric acid from the lemon before oiling the piece or is it okay to leave it on? I'm in love with those legs!!! I've never seen any like that before. Love your videos!!

Love the video! Will subscribe! You should know that the picture that I saw of the video before watching made me think it was an advertising of TH-cam, and then I almost didn't watch, I guess the colors and underlining reminds of certain brands.
