  • We finished some scrap pieces of walnut, hard maple, elm, and cherry with lemon oil. The results blew us away!

    Does this preserve the wood?

      It's more so used as a wood polish and conditioner, but it is not typically used as a preservative for wood. The main purpose of lemon oil is to restore the natural shine and luster to wood, and to help protect it from drying out and becoming brittle, so when used it can increase the lifetime of what youre applying it to but it won't prevent the wood from decaying or protect it from insects

    I'm using Mahoney's oil. Great but it does dry matt. what is the luster of lemon oil when it drys? Thanks.
