I have PCOS, I am IR and I do keto diet too. Best thing ever. I've lost weight since i started. I don't feel like I'm starving myself. When i did the HCLF diet, i gained 3kg in a month. Very frustrating. Thankfully i found the keto diet. Im skeptical at first. But I should have started earlier. My menstruation which are nearly non existence before this, came back for like 3 cycles now. I love your videos. they are very informative.
You look so more mature, beautiful, and in peace now than when I subscribed to your channel some years ago. Keep working hard and thank you for your videos.
My weird PCOS symptom was that my period would last for like 2 weeks plus i have a clotting disorder so I’d faint from anaemia. Since Keto my period has only been lasting for 4 days! Thank you for your meal plans, they give me lots of inspirations!
I just adore whatever u say. It has helped me so much on my keto. All accents are beautiful. Different races, languages, countries etc help so much to understand different people, their lifestyle and especially their food 😁. Love from India ❤️
Hey Rachel! Dedicated fan here- I’m currently four months pregnant and don’t deal with insulin resistance at all, but just love your content and seeing little peeks of your home 🙈 thank you for all your hard work.
I love how your videos are always improving, I mean, I don't feel like they need to. But whenever you post a new video with something new, its always so pleasant for the eye.
You definitely encompass all I want to watch on TH-cam. P.s.: I have been getting tested for PCOS. Right now I only know my hormones do not really like me. Really, thanks for sharing Rachel!
I have some issue for long time like you, PCOS and insulin resistance. By watching your video, I understand I need to do something to look after my body. Thanks a lot!
If you’re insulin resistant or have PCOS should you train in any specific way or is just lifting and cardio like normal okay?? Thank you!! Love your videos by the way!
I always appreciate how knowledgeable you are in your videos. You know your stuff and you know it well. I have studied extensive nutrition/biochemistry/physiology/pathology etc etc at uni and it frustrates me when people who have a big following say things that would be potentially harmful and damaging to their audience. Great work!
Hi Rachel! I am a new subscriber and I am totally LOVING your videos! Keep the Keto meal prep videos coming and I would love to see your fridge essentials video :)
This was so interesting to me, I have hormonal issues and couldn’t loose weight I also had sugar levels to 135 my mom 165 she takes medication every day. I went plant base four months ago and lost 15 lb sugar is 105 my mom eats plant base during the week and her sugar is 120 keeps going down we feel great. We eat lots of carbs rice bread tortillas potatoes etc. I also don’t have hormonal migraines anymore which those were so bad I would go to the hospital. I’m too scared to try the keto diet but I’m glad you found what works for you! Great editing
Be About You - Winston Surfshirt. I have PCOS and am yet to get my bloods taken to see where i'm at, but all the symptoms you have described are what i'm struggling with. You have been such an inspiration for me and i am loving the meal ideas :)
Hanks you for showing us how to be healthy. Also love they way your explanation is very clear. Keep up what you do now, really inspired me to take care of my body.
Hi Rachel! Please could you make a video or post with few diet tips for people with Hashimoto hypothyroidism? I'm in the gym for years but that illness slows down my progress and made me super tired all the time. Love your videos ❤️
Lovee this video! I was diagnosed with Insulin Resistance when I was 15. Now being 21 ive gotten some great tips from this video and also shown me why my body is the way it is sometimes. Loveeeeee it 😉😙
Thank you so much for doing this Rachel. I was diagnosed with IR a few months ago and I've been struggling ever since trying to reverse it. Nothing seems to be working! Also, I was trying to watch the moves you were doing but I couldn't focus because you look so amazing! I mean, your body was always beautiful, but these days it's just so freaking hot!!! Amazing work girl! Your hard work and dedication definitely shows!! :)
This video motivated me a lot, thanks for that! Do you know if I should be taking Omega 3, myo-inositol and Chromium together? I also saw that there are Cinnamon pills out on the market that should be lowering your blood sugar levels. In some of them there is also Chromium in it. What do you think about that? Lots of love from Germany❤
I am from Germany too! I use the cinnamon pills for 4 days now and I think it really helped me eat less and got rid of my cravings. I hope I could help!
Love this new style of video you're doing, Rachel! Great drone shots in between the super helpful info. PCOS is so much easier to deal with once you're armed with the right knowledge! It's been a journey for me, but I've dropped from 170 lbs to 140 with a lot of healthy muscle weight :D
I love love love your videos! You are always so informative and thorough. I really appreciate that. And you also keep it chill and homely by turning it into a vlog. I would love to see more videos/vlogs of this style. ❤️ 😊
rive lapri That's so incredibly rude. Her arms have always been her 'problem area' and now they are so much thinner and you can see more muscle definition. 'Toned' is also such a silly word. There's fat and muscle.
there is no way to actually target a single area to make it slimmer. when you lose weight, it goes away at various speeds at different areas of the body, different from person to person
right, you can not target an area but you can eat healthy and not this low carb crab wich is bad for pcos, cholesterol levels and so on anyways and will make you loose waterweight and muscle but not enough bodyfat. switch to a healthy low fat diet. look up starch solution, hclf and get yourself educated and don't believe this dangerous ketobullshit! carb the fuck up or I wish you happy diabetes and heartattacks
I have question. How do can you help me how to deal with feelings of not wanting to exercise? My challenges with losing weight is diabetes, insulin resistance, and losing weight. I am struggling to lose weight. Because it’s not easy for me to exercise right away.
I have really enjoyed that talk about insulin resistance on your channel. I've worked out for over 10 years eating a fairly healthy diet and really in the last few months. I think the same as you. I've started to gain success by eating to manage insulin resistance. I feel like this is the kind of information that we don't get from our practitioners in a way that makes sense. Also, I never thought about how you say insulin. Your accent is different from mine so make a comment about that sort of thing is kind of rude. Have a great day!
Hello Rachel! Love your videos. Thinking of starting the KETO diet by starting with a 28 day challenge. Should I workout during this time? If so, how often should I being doing HIIT/week??? Thanks girl!
Songs right now: panda, or mic drop - desiigner Drowning- A boogie wit da hoodie Bring em out- TI (oldie) Do re me- blackbear Forbes, random, calm down, order more, or anything off new album (beautiful and damned) - g-eazy Not sure your music taste but im usually all about a good beat and some bass 😜
I have no weight problem and no insulin resistance. I just love watching you!:) Seriously, or equally seriously, the only time I had a weight problem was when my mother was ill prior to her passing. I had to reduce the risk level in my tree care service to avoid potential injury. That resulted in a corresponding loss of income. Depressed, I started taking way too many pub lunches, with liters of rich beers. I swelled up to nearly 240lbs. My healthy weight is between 180-200! After mom passed, I changed my routine. My weight is holding steady at 190, although it briefly dipped to 178 a couple of years ago. That was scary. My current passion, hiking, is really satisfying on so many levels. I have a bicycle, but it needs a tube put in. I walk past it every day thinking, "I must put that tube in!" I know it's faster, but hiking is more fun!:)
It's exciting to see that you're coming to Tasmania!! Make sure to get good shots of the green while it lasts, it's starting to get a bit hot and dry down here 😂
Can't wait for Tasmania 🙌🏻 terrified I'll crash your drone though haha I've seen so many fails on YT 😂 #BetterGetInsurance 😂 Also, love how you added the diagnosis disclaimer - so important 👏🏻
I feel the drone fears too - Last time I was in the US we flew one over a busy highway in LA to get the shot - So nerve racking with the winds too! But we got it! Was the money shot though! There's so many "No fly zones" over here too!
Hey Rachel, do you ever do carb refeeds for Hormone balancing? I keep hearing and reading women should do carb refeeds to keep the hormones in check. Do you find this to be true for you?
What are your thoughts on reactive hypoglycemia I.e. a drop in glucose levels after eating, even a low carb meal. I am struggling with that as a result of too much insulin levels
Question: my doctor said red meats should be avoided if you have insulin resistance. Are red meats a part of keto that is necessary? Response: I'm jamming out to NF's new album "Perception" and the song "Outcast" definitely gets me hyped!
Hi. I've heard that about red meat before, but I eat a bit of it on my keto diet. I would ask the doctor WHY...doctors always tell you to do or not to do something and don't fill in the information gaps. It may be because red meat can spike insulin also. One thing I have researched is if you eat a little red meat(preservative free) with fibrous vegetables(broccoli, green beans, etc) and absent of added sugars and absent of sugary fruits/sweet veggies, you lose weight and reduce inflammation. I'm 44 years old and have been IR for 20 years until Keto lifestyle. I have lots more weight to lose, but I feel great compared to how I felt in my 30s. She should have put SLEEP(especially natural circadian rhythm sleep) as the number one thing to help, at least from what I have experienced. Wishing you good health
Favorite Workout Song: (It's kind of older...lol) "Temple of Love" (The *Original*) by The Sisters of Mercy. I'm an old Gothgal, so I have ALOT of SOM on my playlist for Running/Gym. 😉
Omg I didnt even know of such a thing as insulin resistant... but after watching this video it sounds like i might have it. Time to go to the doctor. Thanks for this video!! 💓💓💪🏻
Hi Rachel,,,, Your Chanel just came up as recommended for me,,,,It's great,,, I'm an ex gym instructor and in my 50's have been putting weight on,,,through desperation tried most diets,,,,,,Till 9 weeks ago started ADF,,,,also Keto but include veg and salad also water fast 2 consecutive days per week,,,, I have lost 10kg over that period,,down from 40 to 36 waist and 4lbs to lose to hit 13 stone,,,,and 1 more Jean size to hit my 34" goal,,,,fasting increases HGH great for lean muscle,,,,are you in Australia,,,, way back a friend had an Australian Chrysler Charger 360ci known as the Guzzling Gosberry as it was green,,,,,,will watch your Chanel 4 sure,,,Thanx from me in lil old England,,,,
Thanks for another great video! Controlling my insulin has definitely been the key factor to managing my PCOS. I also took your advice from your past blog post and have been using inositol. I definitely notice a difference in how it makes me feel (since it also helps with things like anxiety and stress.) Would you consider talking more about how you got to eating 3000cal a day? Perhaps going into the signs that you knew you needed to increase your intake?
Great tips! :) Your vlog style is so nice and enjoyable with the tidbits of your day dispersed throughout. I love the drone footage and all of the cinematic stuff at the end. One of the songs I love working out to that you can use in your videos is Hellcat by Desmeon (on the NoCopyrightSounds channel). It's just such a great song to bebop to when you're trying to work through sets. I hope you're well! ♥
I have PCOS myself and I want to know if soy products worsen PCOS symptoms? Ive searched and information varies from source to source. Personal experiences are also welcome :)
@Leesha McGuiness The only soy product I ever use is soy milk. There was a time where I consistently used this to make my oats in the morning. Also, that was my breakfast everyday for that whole month. That was the only time in a day where I would use soy milk. I also ate clean. If the soy milk did affect my PCOS, it wasn't noticeable because my acne cleared up. Either it didn't have an effect or maybe it wouldn't have much of an effect since I only used a cup of it a day.
That's so interesting! Maybe soy is in itself something that flares symptoms for you. The only way I know whether something does or doesn't work in my diet is to take it out for 4-6 weeks and to monitor how my body responds. I am also pretty interested in science based nutrition - like blood typing etc. I hope that Rachel talks more about this topic for you with her own experiences :)
Hi Rachel, Do you have any suggestions on how to find a good homeopathic specialist to work with. I live in LA where I am sure there are many, but don't know how to select one. I don't think I have PCOS as I have had regular periods all my life but I have all the other symptoms and I think it is highly probable that I am insulin resistant as I am overweight and having extreme difficulty losing weight even though I am working out regularly and eating right. I would rather work with a homeopathic specialist versus my MD. I think I will get better results as my MD just wants to check my thyroid all the time and if it's normal then he just thinks it's me.
Concerning keto and low carb. I've just read an article in one of our German science magazines that the long term benefits are NOT proven/sure. And they recommend a glyx diet with complex carbohydrates. What do u think of glyx Rachel?
I'm stuck because I can't close my mouth
That's hot
I have PCOS, I am IR and I do keto diet too. Best thing ever. I've lost weight since i started. I don't feel like I'm starving myself. When i did the HCLF diet, i gained 3kg in a month. Couldn’t agree more that sleep makes SUCH a difference! Loved this video. You’re so well spoken and your videos are so well made! Xoxo, Caylie
Thankyou Caylie!!
You are honestly glowing 😍 thank you for always making informative videos 😘

I'm in awe of how high the production value is in your yt vids. Such a pleasure to watch.
Got my diagnosis of it yesterday. Had soo hard times to loose weight. But I am still in getting more information about what to do
I love how your videos are always improving, I mean, I don't feel like they need to. But whenever you post a new video with something new, its always so pleasant for the eye.
Definitely the Aussie accent - people who make fun of your pronounciation are silly 🙄
Natalya Plays Piano hahaha I tried saying it different ways and I’m like, “nope I think this is just how I say it” 😂
This is literally my fav accent 🙄
I'm a kiwi and I say insulin fairly similar to Rachel too haha
I'm pretty sure Rachel's pronounciation of insulin has nothing to do with Aussie accent. It's funny though. I had a good laugh.
"Electric Feel" by MGMT always gives me workout vibes!
OMG MGMT
You definitely encompass all I want to watch on TH-cam. P.s.: I have been getting tested for PCOS. Right now I only know my hormones do not really like me. Really, thanks for sharing Rachel!
I thought I had it and went to see a specialist but luckily the results came back negative. So happy about that !
Thank you for making videos. You always put an effort in making good videos. Love frm Indonesia.
I love your videos because of the camera angles and all of the great information!!
I always appreciate how knowledgeable you are in your videos. You know your stuff and you know it well. I have studied extensive nutrition/biochemistry/physiology/pathology etc etc at uni and it frustrates me when people who have a big following say things that would be potentially harmful and damaging to their audience.
Great work!
Thanks Sarah! I really appreciate it!
I like that you included your sources. Also I love that you basically live in sports clothes haha
Loved that you put source references in the video.

I’m currently on Metformin for my PCOS, do you know if taking Myo-Insotol is okay to take along side it?

Can you do a workout video on how to get rid of leg fat, to get them slimmer and not muscular please!
Loved the scenery footage Rachel!
Love this new style of video you're doing, Rachel! Great drone shots in between the super helpful info. PCOS is so much easier to deal with once you're armed with the right knowledge! It's been a journey for me, but I've dropped from 170 lbs to 140 with a lot of healthy muscle weight :D

your skin looks AMAZING
You have so much more energy as of late!
I watch your 15 minutes workout. And I do those exercises...they really working for me ...so thank you so much))
I think the 'insulin' pronunciation is an Aussie thing! Everyone I know pronounces it that way too.
ammie jorden not really. No. I'm Aussie and say it as insulin with an 'S' not 'sh'
I'm also Aussie (from Brisbane) and I have never met any one that pronounces it with an 's'! But good to know!
I'm showing all the signs of having insulin resistance, thanks for the info. Love how you break up your video, makes it more interesting to watch.
which drone are you using? great video :)
Interesting video, thank you for sharing your tips and advice Rachel! Sleeping is really important!
Rachel, your arms have toned up soo much, can you please do an arm workout video please
i can't see it. looks skinny fat
rive lapri That's so incredibly rude. Her arms have always been her 'problem area' and now they are so much thinner and you can see more muscle definition. 'Toned' is also such a silly word. There's fat and muscle.

I have no weight problem and no insulin resistance. I just love watching you!:)
Seriously, or equally seriously, the only time I had a weight problem was when my mother was ill prior to her passing.
I'm new to this channel and omg you have satisfied my craving for aesthetically pleasing things for today 😍 I love your theme! Thanks for the video
You will have to go and binge watch her videos now girl! She has an amazing channel :D
You're in for a treat because her whole channel is incredibly aesthetically pleasing like this video.
It's exciting to see that you're coming to Tasmania!! Make sure to get good shots of the green while it lasts, it's starting to get a bit hot and dry down here 😂
I didn't quite understand it, so should or shouldn't you eat cinnamon if you want to lose weight? (Sry, I'm German)
Another amazing video!!
Can't wait for Tasmania 🙌🏻 terrified I'll crash your drone though haha I've seen so many fails on YT 😂 #BetterGetInsurance 😂 Also, love how you added the diagnosis disclaimer - so important 👏🏻
Arna Alayne yesss I’m so excited. My replacement bank card arrived so I can book the hire car today 😂
I feel the drone fears too - Last time I was in the US we flew one over a busy highway in LA to get the shot - So nerve racking with the winds too! But we got it! Was the money shot though! There's so many "No fly zones" over here too!
I love your taste of music! do you have spotify or any place where I can look at your playlist? xx
Hey Rachel, do you ever do carb refeeds for Hormone balancing? I keep hearing and reading women should do carb refeeds to keep the hormones in check. Do you find this to be true for you?
Working for it - ZHU & Skrillex! Even just the lyrics "working for it" pump me up during my workout 💪🏻
Also, do you have a brand recommendation for myo-inositol?
What are your thoughts on reactive hypoglycemia I.e. a drop in glucose levels after eating, even a low carb meal. I am struggling with that as a result of too much insulin levels
Hello Rachel!, i try to download the HIIT Guide Ebook but the link don't work T.T, there another way to get it?, thank you!!

Do you ever feel sick after doing squats? I’m not sure how to fix that.
My favorite workout song?? Oh gosh, it'd have to be Survival by Muse or anything from Pantera. Helps me forget about how silly I think I look 😅
Great tips! :) Your vlog style is so nice and enjoyable with the tidbits of your day dispersed throughout. I love the drone footage and all of the cinematic stuff at the end. This is a GREAT question! What have you found in your experience Alex?
Yes it does, soy oil increases oestrogen so i always stay away from it.

The only soy product I ever use is soy milk.
Alexandra Lynn Hey I also have PCOS but regardless soy isn't good for you unless it's fermented.
Hi Rachel,
Do you have any suggestions on how to find a good homeopathic specialist to work with.
No holding back by hardwell and Craig David and stop me by jaggs & kevu. It's my power pair of tracks to get me to push during a workout.
Love the drone shots 🌱🌤
Concerning keto and low carb. I've just read an article in one of our German science magazines that the long term benefits are NOT proven/sure. And they recommend a glyx diet with complex carbohydrates. What do u think of glyx Rachel?
