I’d also recommend as a bonus for back board clears, practicing “drive clears” where you drive into the ball just as it bounces, which can power clear the ball. It’s more risky to go for, but when you have to rush a clear in game, it can make up for a lack of positioning while giving tm8s time to rotate and get boost in a pinch…

honestly I'm coming to terms with a couple things with rocket league recently since watching leths Road to ssl, I've always been super good with movement games so playing fast and getting decent touches came naturally and that carried me to top plat, but I've realised that (shock horror) I'm not nearly as competent as I thought and in reality ive not really progressed very far past natural talent and getting used to how the car acts, my 50s are subpar for my level, as are my defensive manuvers, and no matter how good I am at saving if I can't get myself behind the ball right before it gets there I'm always gonna be on the back foot. Aerial mechanics and dribbling have suffered the most because of it, because I play fast I've relied on simply outpacing my opponents , capitalising on overcommits, and cutting them out of thier plays, not on maintaining control, because of that my dribbles are god awful, I'm gonna slow myself down a load and relearn everything, I think that's really the big secret to how I finally start breaching diamond and growing into a decent player
If you're plat / diamond you're probably not going as fast as you think, there's always room to improve speed, even gc1/2 still play slower than higher ranks. Just learning to rotate can get you through diamond easily, at this rank just booming the ball consistently is enough imo. Good luck !

And sorry I didn’t answer what the difference is with air rolling. The main difference is speed and control. You are able to change your direction quicker if you are continuously air rolling and also and get places faster. The problem is it’s pretty dang hard to learn. As I said I don’t know how to do it and I do fine against people that use it by either being in a better position to beat them, or have a faster reaction and use fast aerial. I am going to start learning it as I want to have better control overall and honestly it just looks fun to fly around and spin, but the couple of times I’ve tried it’s very challenging. So I’d recommend you’d focus on other stuff first. The amount of diamonds I’ve played against that can flip reset, continually air roll, do flicks etc but are terrible at a lot of the core fundamentals (shooting,positioning,shadow defence etc) so we beat them. Anyways long rant over, hope that helps. Cheers to leveling up!
Litterly looked for an efficency Video in RL since I always quit game and go into training :D I even use the time in Tournaments where u are forced in one spot to halfflip ^^
great drills! It's not my place to tell you where to improve, but in my opinion you should not teach players to flip at every ball every time (not saying that's what you're doing, but it seems like you flip at almost every touch in this vid)
question for my RL community: will my tournament rewards transfer over to season 10? I have racked up quite a few, but dont want to spend them on season 9 rewards.. Help!
