Connection stability is the important thing NOT connection speed. Wifi is easily affected by outside interference like microwaves/vacuums/lots of wifi networks. Ethernet is not. You can actually easily test to see the difference either by doing a jitter test (google it) or compare the consistency of pinging your router over a longer time (like a minute).
Can you do a video on what custom maps to play for what mechanics to improve. Like if I’m a plat or diamond and need to improve dibbling and positioning. What customs would I play
Your internet speed has very little to do with you lagging in games. The stability of your connection matters MUCH more. That's the reason for the lag issues mostly going away when you switched to a wired connection. With that 400Mbps you could be playing RL and be streaming a 4k movie and never have lag. But if your wifi connection is unstable, you're lagging all over the place. So yes, wiring your computer/console into your router may fix a lot of lag issues, but it's not because the speed is faster.
Its all about latency, jitter, and your worst nightmare for lag, bufferbloat. If your using wifi on pc, I highly recommend downloading WLAN optimizer. It got rid of the annoying 50+ms latency spikes to my gateway when on wifi, I have consistent
Exactly ! Download and Upload speed do not affect your Lag a lot Lag comes From unstable/bad connections for Example: Wifi, Bad Cables in your House (not talking about LAN Cable) i talk about the Cable that are in the Walls. Earth Cables, the Cables from your Provider that would go into your Home probably Basement, also their Ports, and much more can be the Reason. Your Ping is highly affected by your Distance to the Servers. Thats why in a 1v1 Pro match "Yanxxnz vs Rw9" one would have a bad Ping
The number you see below fps is NOT your input latency, it is your frame time, basically the inverse of of fps, how long it takes your pc to render the next frame. Input lag is the time between the physical button being pressed and the action displaying on your monitor. Frame time is part of input latency but there are many other parts that add to it.
@CaitofFate many things can effect Inputlag, use your controller wired so it has higher polling, a low response monitor / screen and having as much fps as possible without affecting visibility
Another thing: If you can, use a wired controller. It’s my opinion that Bluetooth adds a few ms of latency compared to wired. It may not be that much but I believe it’s enough to matter, especially if you have an older computer.
You should run the game at 360fps if you are running a high refresh rate monitor, say 144hz minimum because there is a noticeable dofference between that and the framerate of your monitors refresh rate
Wired is the only way to go. Wireless is half duplex, so it can either send or receive but can’t do both at the same time. Wired is full duplex, so your computer can send or receive simultaneously. That’s why it doubled your speed test.
I'm running on an Xbox series s. And I went wired last week. No connection issues at all. I also just started running central servers from texas. I believe that helped quite a bit too
your double jumps is probably a bad habit. your backflip probaby happens when you try to fast aerial? some Possible Reasons: Bad Habit (Skillissue) => Practice more (put more focus on pressing your second jump after your stick is in neutral position) Too precise Controller Settings => Experiment with controller Settings => Dodge Deadzone: => try different Numbers Slight Controller Drift => Buy new Controller
Your internet speed doesn't make any difference to your ping. You can have fast connection or slow connection, but only what matters is how stable it is. You can prove this if you use really fast wifi connection or "slow" optical fibre connection and see which one gives you less lag spikes.
I play Xbox I had mine plugged in but for some reason would not let me download games or do updates till I unplugged and went thru wifi so I don't use it anymore but the connection other than that was great
megabits per second doesn't matter when playing the game, what matters is the latency. The problem with wifi is that the latency jumps sporadically, and it's often unpredictable. But yeah, never game on wifi if you care about reaction time.
Ahh WiFi Lag... Best one we had was my mate and I scored and we high fived like Yeaaaaaahhh! But the ball didn't explode and we were like Huh? Then the camera shot to the other end and exploded in our goal and we were like WHAT!!!! 🤣
These vid are great, for no reason there's not a single youtuber showing these on keyboard, or teaching keyboard players. I hate controllers and so i have no chance at learning from these vids
*Problem* with said ''Best Coaching'' is that you need to sign with a phone number. And if you WHIFFED with the number on one discord account, or another.. or are just incredibly plain unlucky? You can't even verify yourself. Im the former case. So getting coach rn just seems plain impossible, with how well its spoken about.
I don't feel one bit bad for people lagging on WiFi.... Just plug in the fkn RJ45 already. Unless you're stealing internet from your neighbour. Then you're screwed

tots. stability and ping are what matter. not download speed. Your client is transmitting text files basically. Its not a lot of data.
Playing on a wired connection it’s like you’re playing a different game
Exactly ! Download and Upload speed do not affect your Lag a lot
Lag comes From unstable/bad connections for Example:

I see I didn’t know that, thank you!
Spook said about wifi lag and the video immidiately started loading
😂
Your connection took severe offense to that statement he spoke.
Lmao I read the comment as this happened to me
The number you see below fps is NOT your input latency, it is your frame time, basically the inverse of of fps, how long it takes your pc to render the next frame.
Input lag is the time between the physical button being pressed and the action displaying on your monitor. Frame time is part of input latency but there are many other parts that add to it.
Is input delay capped by frame time?
@CaitofFate many things can effect Inputlag, use your controller wired so it has higher polling, a low response monitor / screen and having as much fps as possible without affecting visibility
Your download speed is 700Mb and my download speed is 30Mb 😢😂
Hardest mechanic in game: Open net

Whatever refresh rate your monitor sits at is the cap. If you overload that cap and notice and improvement you should probably just turn on vsync
@@sly_sense v sync add input lag from what i know and is not good for competitive games
I changed my camera settings to your suggestions and my game improved instantly. Thanks man!
Thank you SpookLuke! your videos are definitely helping me improve my game play, which is badly needed lol
Love the addition of Jojo's,Death Note and JJK ops/ost to ur videos
BRO the jjk ost in the spookluke is trippy i just finished watching and im like "is there another tab?"
Wired is the only way to go. Wireless is half duplex, so it can either send or receive but can’t do both at the same time. Wired is full duplex, so your computer can send or receive simultaneously. That’s why it doubled your speed test.
the jjk background music tho
luke, i changed my settings based on this video and INSTANTLY dominated. i love you.
I went from 60hz to 144hz monitor couple years ago and yes, that is a massive upgrade, 60hz feels clunky and stuttery now, can never go back
That’s actually sick I had no idea you made your videos here in chicago, love your videos. Stay warm out there 👊🏼
Love the JJBA music luke :>
400+mbs on wifi? 😅😅 In Australia the best we get is 87mbs WIRED! 🤦♀️ OCE doomed
You can get 100 Mbps some in some places but the max speed I can get is 57mbps
I'm running on an Xbox series s. And I went wired last week. No connection issues at all. I also just started running central servers from texas. I believe that helped quite a bit too
Can you make a short video for best settings like camera etc on game.
He as already
Your not washed homie. You got this
Uhh, what do i do if i frequently double jump and backflip accidentally…
your double jumps is probably a bad habit.
your backflip probaby happens when you try to fast aerial?

Bad Habit (Skillissue) => Practice more (put more focus on pressing your second jump after your stick is in neutral position)

I'm in discord but I don't understand how to access the Coach, how much it costs, or what it is like.
How much does the grandchampbootcamp cost? Also is there a age requirement?
18+
The wrong roll one really helped thanks man😃

I love that music from death note it reminds me of good memories
No matter how good wi-fi technology gets, I'm still going to run an ethernet cord for the foreseeable future when possible
I play Xbox I had mine plugged in but for some reason would not let me download games or do updates till I unplugged and went thru wifi so I don't use it anymore but the connection other than that was great
other people: don't whiff you: does whiff me: doesn't even play rocket league
As a player who lags everytime I play I have deranked to GC1 purely because of my wifi.
i feel the first one i normlly do have lag spikes and the ball rubber bands a lot and disconection is a big issue
megabits per second doesn't matter when playing the game, what matters is the latency. The problem with wifi is that the latency jumps sporadically, and it's often unpredictable. But yeah, never game on wifi if you care about reaction time.
that was interesting thank you. gona go buy a new comp now :)
Chicago baby !
Thank you for this video sometimes i wiff a lot
Never. Play. On. WiFi. Get a cable. I once lost a 60hr hardcore Diablo character because of wifi hiccups. That was a lesson for life.
lovely DeathNote sound :D L's watching
Great video ... hardstuck in Plat
Ahh WiFi Lag... Best one we had was my mate and I scored and we high fived like Yeaaaaaahhh! But the ball didn't explode and we were like Huh? Then the camera shot to the other end and exploded in our goal and we were like WHAT!!!! 🤣
Clearly don't know not much about computer stuff but thanks for the RL tips 😂
Turn right to go left thank you or should i say no thank you ? cause in opposite world that means thank you!
lol i whiff cuz i drink while i play 🤣
U real for that 😂😂😂
Me me me!!!!! 😂 only like playing when I'm drinking cos its fun play fortnite or roblox most of the time lol
My doubles partner stays trashed when we play.
@@jonathanweber5942 it makes it so much more fun 😅 and im actually getting better anyway haha
Lol that's dunny
How much dose it cost

Don’t think we didn’t notice the JjK opening Luke
blud i am gold tryna rank up is there any way you can help
We got so much snow in Wisconsin. How about you guys?
"It's a tap of air roll not a whole" then proceeds to do a whole flip and cuts it, lmao.
thank you
Bro rides zen and roast us 😭😭😭
The lag is deff the biggest reason I recommend yall buy a gaming router my ps5 runs at max now and never have a problem
ok the one about the dead zone don’t work for me cause most of the times i backflip on accident even if it’s in the max deadzone
out of all things you talked about wifi lag you didn't mention anything about packet loss or latency which is what matters, not the throughput
If you use am ethernet withing a family household, will ot negatively inpact other ppl in the house using wifi?
Yes
@@KaichXIX damn. How can we stabilize our connection to the internet then without using an ethernet cable?
For me it the nerves get to me and i stop thinking entirely
Accidental backflip? We call that bronze flip in these here parts :D
Great now i gotta watch cars😭
Bro doxxed himself lol
i live in hungary and i have 30mbps download and 11mbps upload wired
Internet can run at almost the speed of light but WiFi sucks. I use mobile Internet which seems OK but can't compare cos I don't have broadband
I agree with lightning McQueen on this one
Thank you 🙏🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I get 10x up and down wired vs wireless
Why is jojo’s playing in the background for some of this vid?
And JJK? Is Luke a weeb?
Who plays any online game competitively, using Wi-Fi? lol
?
I don't feel one bit bad for people lagging on WiFi....
Just plug in the fkn RJ45 already.

the jujutstu kaisen music in the background bruh
what if im banned from making purchases on the epic games store and i dont already own rocket league 💀💀
Tou forgot about the teamates rhat bump tou every nanosecond
2019 I was getting 200mbps upload and download with wired WiFi and then in 2020 I got wireless it was way betterr
Ok
Always getting bad pings while gaming.
Me in Australia:
100mbps 20ping.
Plot twist: a pro is watching😮
I think you forgot to mention camera angle, the demonstrations you show on this has an awful angle not so much a height problem here I don’t think
60fps goes as based as 16ms
I live in Chicago 2 W
but air roll adds a giant amount of steeze
I got a 3x upload speed!!!!!!!!
0.55 is polish guy

Do you like jojo bizarre?
With my ethernet cable I have less wifi
