Great video, easy and clear instructions without bs-ing around, I appreciate it. Quick question: that truck has automatic locks right not manual locks? Just wondering if this will be the same process for my pickup that has automatic locks.
Kayla Johnston assuming your pickup is an obs ford pickup then the process is the same. I assume you mean power locks. These trucks never had auto lock that will lock the door when you move etc
this is my question too. my driver side door lock is nonexistent, the passenger side door lock doesn’t work with any of my keys, but the factory key fob still unlocks just th e passenger side, not the drivers. should i take the door panel off to look?
Hey I put these in my truck but when I lock my doors and close them when I open it from the outside it will unlock the door by itself like there's no point any ideas?

Yep, sure thing. Also, where did you find your replacement kit? I'm having a hell of a time finding locks and an ignition together for my 96 F250
Kayla Johnston rock auto is where I think I got this kit but door and ignition will never be the same they were different keys from ford
Copy that, thanks!

Just bought a 96 f250 4 door short bed! Thanks for this!
Glad to help hope to have more on this truck aoon
If the rod falls, what's the best way to get it? I got a 96 F-150 and the driver door lock rod seems to either have fallen or is missing
Green Lantern Expo take the door panel off its easy access then. But it’s quicker and easier to do it without removing the panel
take off the door panel.

Sounds like a lock rod is bent or not hooked up right.
Now weird I gotten a door off a 1993 f150 to bolt to my 1996 but the 1996 lock mechanism won't fit into the 93 door?
Corndog Extreme that’s odd the holes are all the same. Why won’t it fit
@@Petersonauto the bottom tab hits the door skin
Corndog Extreme one tab is larger than the others to orient it in the door correctly try turning it till it slides in
@@Petersonauto ahh did 1996 have different locks then 93
Corndog Extreme no they did not
Thank you
That rod feel out of its hole inside the door and it is impossible to get to I swear
Ya it’s pretty bad long arms or a magnet
