In a TH-cam world where everyone is panning and zooming every scene, Erik sensibly knows how to lock down a shot and not ruin the scene with voice over or loud music. Thank you!
Erik, you're supremely lucky to be able to do these. Watching your content is like going on a a mini vacation. It is almost impossible to do a camping like this and spend the night outdoors in my part of the world. You've to fear humans more than animals.
The poetry of rock and ice. The song of water and bird. The art of Erik Normark. I'm starting to feel like I've BEEN to your area, I've watched so many detailed and sweeping videos you've created. Loved them all mate.
And here we can see a rare representative of his kind, Homo Normarkus, huddled in his cocoon with the onset of darkness, so that he can survive the freezing night in peace and safety. His morning rituals are simple: to welcome the sun with a large portion of hot coffee that warms not only the body but also the soul. Thank you Erik for another great video! The sun colors the snow nicely in warm shades. 👍🏻
Thank you for presenting the beauty of the environment without the intrusion of the self. To me that, and the audiovisual quality, are the distinguishing characteristics of your work. Good for us, the combination of your talent and the beauty of your natural environment 😊
Your full governance of open air sleeping system and controlled embedding in nature with optimized experience & enjoyment are skills not many are competent with. Excellent winter-spring capturing again Erik! Greetings from Finland - Br, Janne
Thanks for the video. A short poem: Beautiful spring, by the sea. Beautiful spring, by the sea, And the waves are splashing, o shore, Again, and the ice melted, But the day is in a hurry to wane, Waning, darkening and night, It's coming quietly, in the dark, You put up a tent, light, Overnight, under the open sky, the bay itself is magnificent, And the sky of beauty, extraterrestrial, I felt myself in the country, The other one, you're at the end of the Earth, You stand and look from the cliff, You look into the distance, mesmerized. 24.04.2022
This video reminds me of the nights I spent on the beach at Cape Cod Massachusetts before Gentrification; capitalist snobs ruined it for everybody. The sound of waves, seagulls and sand pipers are similar to what I hear in this video. National Seashore Reserve was thee best places to camp if one likes a noisy nature. That sound put me right to sleep. Moreover, Erik’s film here brought back those wonderful memories. Thanx Erik for the Spectacular job as usual. I’m reliving my youth precariously through your videos. Scott
@@janfrosty3392 unfortunately yes. The corona virus brought an infestation of ill aware travelers to backcountry areas all over the world near large population centers. I don’t think I need to list the evidence which constitutes ill aware but i think we all get the picture. I have hope that these areas will recover and they again will be places of beauty. Looks like wherever Erik brings us will always be places of beauty. Thank you Erik. NQU
As you probably know many Swedes choose to settle in and around those areas of USA. Because it reminded them of home. So come back home to Sweden. Here nature is still for everyone.
Great time and solitary night is a very special occasion to listen the nature. I wait you tee moment and it is a pleasure your 👍 every time in your video. See you soon 🔜
Can't help but to cringe at the pad against the bare rock. Though it's warmer to keep the pads like they were and the sea might have rounded the most sharp edges up during times but still... Anyway, a good video yet again.
Erik, odd question: Have you thought about time lapse filming as an occasional part in your posts, especially when it is a very good starry night? I believe I have seen one or two instances of your using this effect but cannot recall where. I think if anyone can capture the magic of that technique and apply it artfully in this genre, you would be that person. Cheers.
Hi Erik! Thank you for your work. I have a rather dumb technical question: what is your opinion on waxed cotton garments for outdor activities? I know it is no good shell for the mountains as it leaks through, breathes poorly and also is heavy, but it's sturdy, lasts long, nice to the touch, easy to maintain al the while being closer to eco-friendly than DWR membrane laminate. I've seen that one of your winter jackets is made with cotton. And I've heard waxed cotton's becoming a thing again in nordic countries. What do you think of it?
As you say I like cotton for winter, but summer is harder if you only want one jacket. You will get wet when it's raining even if waxed. Cotton is nice, but I'd bring a light synthetic rain jacket as well.
@@erik_normark Thanks. I've been trying to make single jacket system work for a while, to no avail. And sure, synthetics for hiking and cotton for camping\logging does fine, feels right. Nice talking to you Erik, looking forward to hearing your synth music in the videos again. Really well put and subtle
I read that eventualy, the Bothnian bay would turn into a fresh water lake in a couple of thousand years, wich is not far, in terms of geological time... thanks for the video Erik ! By the way , did you sleep like a rock ? 😋
Hej Erik.

When a new youtuber comes out with music in a peaceful setting, i blast them ...why do they spoil it grrr

I thought this, too! Then I watched more closely. It was a snow melt pool. Good call Notquiteultralight.

Perfect way to start the day! Thanks Erik!
What a beautiful day! Except for that mummy sleeping bag. I’d go nuts being that confined. You’re lucky if you don’t mind though,
Yes we've had a few really nice days here, perfect for outings like this one! Atb
Paisagem absurdamente fantástica, hotel infinitas estrelas!

Rick, I have thought about it, but usually I just forget. It taks quite much time also to finish time lapses and that's usually the reason. Cheers

About 7.5 hours right now. Thanks!

Is spring late for you too?
Right now it's pretty normal, maybe a bit early even.
Hello! Where is your hat from? How can I get one like it? What is it made of?
An old leather cap, unknown brand.
