Wearing hide gloves like in the video would end with severe frostbite and amputation. Dude would be going thru wood at a furious rate too. It would be so frozen, it would chip off like flint. He might be able to survive outdoors if dressed a whole lot warmer, provided he had animal skins AND some serious outdoor gear (like my -60 mukluks, -40 coat, and mitten system over NZ merino wool base layers). Otherwise, he’s merely getting by in conditions no colder than one would see in parts of the South Island.
Great channel nice to watch when in bed so tranquil and peaceful with no talking helps me fall to sleep while other channels keep me awake with all the talking ... not saying your boring tho bud far from it just nice to have a peaceful wild camp keep uo the good work

I noticed you heated up canned food in the can. You probably don't know that all cans that contain food are lined with plastic or pvc to prevent rusting. I was really surprised you did that and was wondering if it tasted odd or off? It's a pretty thin layer in canned foods and possibly the melted plastic just took on the flavour of the contents. 😂

If it was -25 at the coldest point it still would have been like -15 when he is walking at the start where there is no snow. But it’s raining. And he wears a light rain jacket all video. Sleeping under a tarp in -25 with that jacket would’ve killed him lol

Without an insulating layer like fir boughs, a two layer sleeping bag, and a roaring log fire, you’d be found dead from exposure after sleeping in those temps. Oh, and your hands would be frozen with GLOVES like that.

@@wildcampp -25 wasn’t the overall average temperature at night. If it was, that wet and clumping snow would have been rock hard by morning. You would also have burned through far more wood than was even prepared. If you want to improve the videos, be honest about the conditions. Otherwise, somebody will take you at your word and get into serious trouble trying to replicate what you claim is your method.
