Its as simple as this: If a religion claims to be a religion of peace, claims that their prophet was a feminist, and claims that the people that followed that religion, are pious, moral, etc - then nations that are theocracies of that religion, would be peaceful, moral, pious, safe places for women to live. Muslims use this example to show how 'merciful and peaceful' Muhammad was, but bare in mind had the pagans not converted to Islam, Muhammad would have slaughtered them all. - Muhammad in his lifetime also faces opposition from another acclaimed prophet called Musaylimah (Muhammad ironically labelled him as Musaylimah the liar'). - Muhammad was poisoned to death by posioned meat cooked by a jewish woman after the battle of Khyber in 632AD. -A female prophet called Sajjah bint harith married Musaylimah but Khalid bin Waleed crushed the movement and Sajjah was forced to convert to Islam. - Abu Bakr (1st Caliph and Muhammads bestie) took over the role of Caliph after Muhammads death. He fought battles with Musaylimah such as Al Yamama (part of the Ridda wars where some muslims refused to pay the yearly zakat). This is the period many memorisers of the quran were killed and the quran had to be compilled in written form. Musaylimah was killed in the battle of Al Yamama. - Umar (2nd Caliph and who would have been a prophet after Muhammad as quoted by Muhammad himself) peacefully conquers Mesopotamia, Syria and began the conquest of Iran & Egypt's. He was assasinated by Abu luluah. - Uthman (3rd Caliph who ordered certain types of the quran to be burned) peacefully conquers Iran, parts of Afghanistan and Armenia. He was assasinated by rebels of the state. - Ali (4th Caliph and son in law & cousin of Muhammad) fought civil POLITICAL wars such as the battle of the camel (Where he fought against Child bride Aisha, Zubair and Talha who were Muhammads best mates in his time) and Siffin (he fought the son of Abu Sufyan whos name was Muawiyah). This led to the Sunni/Shia division and Ali was assassinated by the kharijites. -Hassan (Grandson of Muhammad) makes a peace treaty with Muawiyah. -Hussein (2nd grandson of Muhammad) fights Yazid (Grandson of Abu Sufyan) in the battle of Karbala).Many members of Muhammads lineage are killed and Shia muslims commemorate this sadness on the day of Ashura. - This period is known as the Rashidun Caliphate (632-661) - Under the rule of the Umayyad Caliphate, the Islamic Empire expanded rapidly to include much of northern Africa, western India, and Spain. At its peak, it was one of the largest empires in the history of the world. - Abbasid empire (750-1258 CE, 1261-1517 CE) - The Abbasids overthrew their fellow Umayyad Muslims through war and bloodshed and established the Abbasid Caliphate in 750 CE. In 1258, the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate, Baghdad, was sacked by the Mongols and the caliph was killed. After this, the Abbasids moved to Cairo, Egypt and reestablished the Caliphate. However, from this point forward the Caliphate had little political power. - Other muslim groups such as mamluks and baibars ruled certain caliphates. - Ottoman empire (1517-1924) - Historians generally cite the beginning of the Ottoman Caliphate as 1517 CE when the Ottoman Empire took control of Cairo, Egypt. The Ottomans continued to maintain their claim as the Islamic Caliphate until 1924 when the Caliphate was abolished by Mustafa Ataturk, the first President of Turkey. - Abdul Ibn Wahab, was a religious leader and theologian from Najd in central Arabia who founded the movement now called Wahhabism which is present in modern day Saudi Arabia (Also known as Salafi, ah leh hadith etc). He wrote a book called kitab at tawheed (the book of the oneness of God) and went on the rampage labelling muslims who didnt follow his version of islam as 'mushriks' (people who associate partners with Allah) and killed them particularly in Taif (city close to Mekkah). With the help of desert tribes in Arabia such as the tribe of Saud, Arabia was free from Ottoman rule and to this day the 'House of Saud' has ruled Arabia up to this day. - Modern day groups such as Hizb Ut Tahrir , Al Muhajiroun , Isis and Al Qaeda to this day promote thier political version of Islam. What Muslims tell you: Islam spread peacefully by morals and good actions of muslims. What Muslims dont tell you (Many of them dont know islamic history because they have never studied it): Thousands of Muslims and Non Muslims have been slaughtered in the political scandals of Islam and expansionism of the islamic empire, from the days of Muhammad up untill the present day. We believe that first of all islam was originally a religious polytheistic monotheism attributed to self-proclaimed prophet muhammad. But, secondly, with caliph abd al malik the arab reformer, originated the concept of using it as political force to unite & rally behind the caliphate. I have read the hafs quran and some of the hadiths and found the following very disturbing about Mohammed and his allah: - Islam teaches that child marriage is OK which implies child rape (Surah 65:4) which is evil. And Mohammed of course led by example when he raped a 9 year old little girl. - Islam teaches that it is OK for a husband to beat his wife (Surah 4:34) which is evil. - Islam teaches that it is OK to use women captured in war to be used and sold as sex slaves (Surah 33:50) which evil. - Islam teaches that Christians and Jews must be fought until they have been killed (murdered) unless they submit to Islam and agree to be oppressed second class citizens in the own country (Surah 9:29) which is evil. - And the witness of a women is worth only half of that of a man. (Surah 2:282). That is an insult to all women. So that is my problem with the many different Arabic qurans we can all buy. And we should always remember all of Islam is only what Mohammed maybe recited and how he lived. Lets see what Jesus said: - Jesus teaches in John 14:6 English Standard Version » 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. « So who needs Mohammed and his allah? I would like to point out another difference I have found reading and comparing the Bible and the Kuran: while in the Bible there is a sort of "work in progress" from the "God of the Army" of the Old Testament, jaelous and sometimes violent, into the God of tolerance, love and forgiveness toward all human beings of the New Testament, in the Kuran we see, sadly, the opposite path: from the mystical Meccan Suras toward the political and Jihad oriented Medinan Suras. ISLAM IS A ARAB POLITCAL IDEOLOGY AND NOT A RELIGION.
(Please note this is a brief description of the politcal timeline as there is too much info and detail to write).
-Nearly 1500 centuries ago, Arabia is ruled by pagans who worship mulitple gods.
- Muhammad starts a new political party which is against the ideology of the arab pagans.After 13 years of unsuccessful campaigning he migrates to Madina.During this time he has multiple wars with the pagans such as the battle of Badr, Uhad, Khandaq and Hunain.
- After gaining strength in numbers while in Madina, Muhammad gains control of Arabia by conquering Mekkah, the pagans lose control and dont have a choice but to convert to Islam if they wish to live (One example is Abu Sufyan and his wife Hind, they converted due to political reasons and his lineage would go onto fight the lineage of Muhammad in later generations).
Muslims use this example to show how 'merciful and peaceful' Muhammad was, but bare in mind had the pagans not converted to Islam, Muhammad would have slaughtered them all.
- Muhammad in his lifetime also faces opposition from another acclaimed prophet called Musaylimah (Muhammad ironically labelled him as Musaylimah the liar').
- Muhammad was poisoned to death by posioned meat cooked by a jewish woman after the battle of Khyber in 632AD.
-A female prophet called Sajjah bint harith married Musaylimah but Khalid bin Waleed crushed the movement and Sajjah was forced to convert to Islam.
- Abu Bakr (1st Caliph and Muhammads bestie) took over the role of Caliph after Muhammads death. He fought battles with Musaylimah such as Al Yamama (part of the Ridda wars where some muslims refused to pay the yearly zakat). This is the period many memorisers of the quran were killed and the quran had to be compilled in written form. Musaylimah was killed in the battle of Al Yamama.
- Umar (2nd Caliph and who would have been a prophet after Muhammad as quoted by Muhammad himself) peacefully conquers Mesopotamia, Syria and began the conquest of Iran & Egypt's.
He was assasinated by Abu luluah.
- Uthman (3rd Caliph who ordered certain types of the quran to be burned) peacefully conquers Iran, parts of Afghanistan and Armenia. He was assasinated by rebels of the state.
- Ali (4th Caliph and son in law & cousin of Muhammad) fought civil POLITICAL wars such as the battle of the camel (Where he fought against Child bride Aisha, Zubair and Talha who were Muhammads best mates in his time) and Siffin (he fought the son of Abu Sufyan whos name was Muawiyah).
This led to the Sunni/Shia division and Ali was assassinated by the kharijites.
-Hassan (Grandson of Muhammad) makes a peace treaty with Muawiyah.
-Hussein (2nd grandson of Muhammad) fights Yazid (Grandson of Abu Sufyan) in the battle of Karbala).Many members of Muhammads lineage are killed and Shia muslims commemorate this sadness on the day of Ashura.
- This period is known as the Rashidun Caliphate (632-661)
- Under the rule of the Umayyad Caliphate, the Islamic Empire expanded rapidly to include much of northern Africa, western India, and Spain. At its peak, it was one of the largest empires in the history of the world.
- Abbasid empire (750-1258 CE, 1261-1517 CE) - The Abbasids overthrew their fellow Umayyad Muslims through war and bloodshed and established the Abbasid Caliphate in 750 CE. In 1258, the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate, Baghdad, was sacked by the Mongols and the caliph was killed. After this, the Abbasids moved to Cairo, Egypt and reestablished the Caliphate. However, from this point forward the Caliphate had little political power.
- Other muslim groups such as mamluks and baibars ruled certain caliphates.
- Ottoman empire (1517-1924) - Historians generally cite the beginning of the Ottoman Caliphate as 1517 CE when the Ottoman Empire took control of Cairo, Egypt. The Ottomans continued to maintain their claim as the Islamic Caliphate until 1924 when the Caliphate was abolished by Mustafa Ataturk, the first President of Turkey.
- Abdul Ibn Wahab, was a religious leader and theologian from Najd in central Arabia who founded the movement now called Wahhabism which is present in modern day Saudi Arabia (Also known as Salafi, ah leh hadith etc). He wrote a book called kitab at tawheed (the book of the oneness of God) and went on the rampage labelling muslims who didnt follow his version of islam as 'mushriks' (people who associate partners with Allah) and killed them particularly in Taif (city close to Mekkah). With the help of desert tribes in Arabia such as the tribe of Saud, Arabia was free from Ottoman rule and to this day the 'House of Saud' has ruled Arabia up to this day.
- Modern day groups such as Hizb Ut Tahrir , Al Muhajiroun , Isis and Al Qaeda to this day promote thier political version of Islam.
What Muslims tell you: Islam spread peacefully by morals and good actions of muslims.
What Muslims dont tell you (Many of them dont know islamic history because they have never studied it): Thousands of Muslims and Non Muslims have been slaughtered in the political scandals of Islam and expansionism of the islamic empire, from the days of Muhammad up untill the present day. Muhammad, the 3 of the 4 rightly guided caliphs were assassinated and companions of Muhammad fought full scale amongst each other. All in the name of the 'religion of peace'.

I have been reading some of Bill Warner's book for years (since my return from Iraq while a combat medic in 2007)...it always intrigued me as to why the Iraqis (did what they did daily)...I have found his study of Political Islam fascinating!!

FYI: @ 01:40 I created a term, adopted a term, called 'kafir' which I put a capital K in front of and there are many names for the unbeliever right? but in the end they all get treated the same and so I said they need a same name so I chose the Arabic word Kafir.
Experts on the Middle East read very little of the Quran, because the West is largely secular and post-Christian. So our experts think the Muslim world can be understood in secular Western terms and can be treated like Western countries to some extent. This is incorrect, but don't expect any changes. They're blind.

So my question is a hypothetical one or Maybe a theory that came into my mind, What is the possibility or is there any possibility that Sira was written in order to explain the Incoherent and context less by and large parts of Quran so that we read together it made sense ? Is that the reason why Sira was developed 200 years after the so called Supposedly life time of Mohammed if at all a historical one existed, Dr Bill does state an example here of the palm tree. So was the Sira written in order to add proper meaning to Quran. ?

( You forget the Muslims were once followers of the Old Testament were they not? Do you not say Abraham was your peoples father?) I have read the hafs quran and some of the hadiths and found the following very disturbing about Mohammed and his allah:
- Islam teaches that child marriage is OK which implies child rape (Surah 65:4) which is evil. And Mohammed of course led by example when he raped a 9 year old little girl.
- Islam teaches that it is OK for a husband to beat his wife (Surah 4:34) which is evil.
- Islam teaches that it is OK to use women captured in war to be used and sold as sex slaves (Surah 33:50) which evil.
- Islam teaches that Christians and Jews must be fought until they have been killed (murdered) unless they submit to Islam and agree to be oppressed second class citizens in the own country (Surah 9:29) which is evil.
- And the witness of a women is worth only half of that of a man. (Surah 2:282). That is an insult to all women.
So that is my problem with the many different Arabic qurans we can all buy. And we should always remember all of Islam is only what Mohammed maybe recited and how he lived.

I would like to point out another difference I have found reading and comparing the Bible and the Kuran: while in the Bible there is a sort of "work in progress" from the "God of the Army" of the Old Testament, jaelous and sometimes violent, into the God of tolerance, love and forgiveness toward all human beings of the New Testament, in the Kuran we see, sadly, the opposite path: from the mystical Meccan Suras toward the political and Jihad oriented Medinan Suras. A huge difference indeed, at least according to my point of view.
