He is still wrong about the governor. The fly wheel can explode and rip your leg off. But sure, virtue signal on the Internet that will make it better when your leg is separate from your body
IMO Everyone who says that these engines will blow up need to stop and Google NKA AKRA WKA box stock racing classes. We remove the governors all stock internal including rod and valve train. 10.8 pound springs and all. The only aftermarket parts allowed is the flywheel. And that's for safety we turn these things upward of 7000 rpm maybe more. Only part to worry about is the flywheel. The stock one are only good up to like 5800 before they explode. You are fine the valve springs won't let you spin it that high before they start to float.

I turn 6000 RPM with a stock flywheel all day long. I have 18lb valve springs and a Mikuni 22 mm carb. That was 2015 and it is now 2020. Motor still runs great and doesn't smoke. And I give it hell.
So a quick rundown on the governor thing, I'm sure you already know all this but for anyone else wondering. *Removing the governor in and of itself will not blow your engine up. That's the short answer.* The long answer is that revving your engine without the governor with stock internals could damage your engine. With the governor, engine RPMs are limited. When you remove the governor, engine RPMs are not limited, and thus the first weakest link in the engine is what limits RPM. In this case, RPM gets limited by the valve springs. The stock valve springs begin to "float" and are not able to handle such high RPMs. They will essentially cap your RPMs to around 5000-5500. Floating your valve springs could allow the piston to hit the valve, bending your valve, potentially damaging your piston, and in the end leading to compression issues. This is not "blowing your engine up" so much as it is damaging it. The way around this is to upgrade to stronger valve springs. Now that you fixed that weak link, you're limited by your next weak link - the stock rod and flywheel. These rods and flywheels are not designed for high RPM, and can shatter if revved too high. *THIS WILL* cause your engine to "blow up". If the rod goes, say goodbye to the engine. Often times when a rod goes it punches a hole in the block itself. If they flywheel goes, well, it depends. If you're a guy and you're on a minibike, kiss your chances of reproducing goodbye! OK, seriously though, when the flywheel goes shrapnel can fly out and cause severe injuries. This is why if you take your governor out, it's better to float the valves than to upgrade the springs. The way around THIS is to upgrade the rod and flywheel with billet replacements. These billet rods and flywheels can handle extremely high revs. Upgrade the valve springs even further (and also consider upgrading the pushrods to chromoly pushrods - not required but the added safety never hurts) and you will have a much more reliable, safer, powerful, and higher revving engine.
I've removed plenty of governors, only had 1 engine come apart. It's all about the fly wheel. Big heavy stock one is unbalanced past 3600 rpm and the magnets can fly off. (Can, not Will). This throws the balance off everything and it wont take long to wreak havoc. Billet fly wheel is the way to go to prevent this. Also much lighter. Heavier valve springs are a must at higher rpm. The stock ones will begin to float. ( won't fully close)
You might be careful with what you say I'm not an internal Governor is not putting the motor to help it not blow up it is put there to cut back on the torque specs and the throttle response taking the governor out does not blow engines redlining them running them without oil or no water that's what blow those Motors anybody that has the common sense of gears and Technology knows this I would not be worried about what people say bud you do an incredible job

I wouldn't worry about removing the governor. The only issue that a few have run into is that after 3600rpm the flywheel becomes unbalanced. With it having a lighting coil, the magnets end up flying off, throwing the flywheel out of balance.

One of the motors I have the governor blew up it's self up on it's own and I found it behind the oil sensor so it depends on the motor it's self weather or not you should remove the governor because I red line the motor quite often and it works fine for going 50 mph on a mini bike well at least it did in till it had some problem with starting because of how much compression it has it's hard for the engine to turn over and start up but it's still a stock Greyhound motor that I got for free so there's nothing I can complain about.

No no no... You should do something with that Hyosung engine before another project!
Please help!!! I have the other version of the trailmaster MB200 with no rear suspension. I want to install upgraded parts but I don’t know if they are the same for both bikes?? Please let me know!
Keep up the awesome work. On a "What the heck note", you have the ability to make stands for a mini-bike and you use bricks. As I say to my students in loving fun, "Some people's children"!!!
Nice
That's pretty badass👍😎😎😎
Do you sell any vehicles
Hey man I love your videos, I jump so fast when I get your video notifications. Haha! I wanted to say this though, can you put in a word at Go Power Sports and request they make parts for the little 50cc-110cc Honda & Honda clone engines? I usually don’t mess with the predators and little Briggs engines and what not. I buy, sell, build, and fix little Honda’s and China made atvs and dirt bikes and what not full time, I really like the quality of Go Power Sports parts and I think it’d really pour in all kinds of business if they started making parts for those style engines. Would be incredible! Thanks man and can’t wait for the next vid ;) stay safe!
Sweet video
Next mini bike I buy is gonna be one of those. Just waiting for a sale or to find one used at a good price. Not slapping down 700 or more for one.
look for em on facebook, see frames once in a while
Start posting build videos, pick up a go powersports sponsorship, get free Mini Bike. $$$$
Ive found that once you remove the governor and put valve springs in it without puting a rod in it it just chews up the rod and crank from lack of oil and ends up developing a horrible rod knock
Are there better fenders to prevent so much mud flipping onto the engine and drive belt areas?
which pipe is that u installed the one in the link that say Engine performance kit or header pipe because they are two different pipes
Hi! Aluminium rear sprocket?
I don't know if this a call for some concern but, did the chain look a bit loose or is it supposed to be that way?
For some reason you make all this looks so much easier and better than red beards garage I'm just saying
What size is the black thing that goes with the splitter that goes on the back
Can you use the same kit on the baja warrior?
Keep the right sprocket on, just add the other stuff
Use the zip tie trick. Easy peasy!
b afternoons I changed the crankshaft to a 6.5 hp engine and it was not as strong as the buggy lost speed or it may be to give it more power
"They finally sent us one". For free!
How much did all those upgrades cost?
Having a hard time with chain clearance with the shocks suggestions my guy
And a universal back sprocket should fit no problem without any adapter
You should do the gambler again on this one
