This is another version of the react content reactions where people get mad... they don't like being told they're wrong, they ask for an explanation, and then they don't pay any attention to the explanation they so vehemently demand. They're the problem here. Keep doing what you're doing, Matto.
Even if you're bad at math how do you get 3k from 500k in taxes that's literally extortion by the government considering taxes are 12% and 37% roughly, this guy just lied about it. Ludwigs opinion is that EVERYTHING should be up for grabs for reacting which is just crazy. I get it with music because there is replay value and people might find an artist. React to even the main storybeats of a movie let alone the whole thing and people are not going to watch it again, maybe one guy. TH-cam videos, ok if it is one or two and that's it but some stream just reactions aka it's every best video and much more so there is time to waste aka the it brings people to the channel doesn't neccesarily work (because most don't subscribe and see when new video drops). TH-cam is debatable and I don't think there is wrong answer but I don't like just reacting for hours on stream and a lot of people will do that. Movies and series should Absolutely be out of the picture.

I'm 99% sure most of these reaction streamers don't actually acknowledge what they're doing is wrong. They're earning too much money doing absolutely nothing but click a pause button. So when someone who doesn't care about getting into drama or be antagonized calls you out, you would do everything in your power to lie about your situation and misinform their viewers to convince that Matt is wrong. Matt produces a video every response to prove his point, therefore Matt has thought about his opinions very hard and has done a lot of research. He is dedicated to inform people that this is wrong even though he didn't have to. While streamers' responses are 10 words every minute while their viewers do the talking and chances are, even the viewers haven't actually read the script nor watch the videos. Just hearsay. I love your take on this. I never understood that. I remember going to Charlies videos and they had 5x more views or something. Everyone is watching his response but not darkvipers. Makes no sense. You can't understand a situation fully without watching both. It's like if you only watched one side of a movie with a hero and a villain. You follow the villain to the end just for some random guy you don't even know in a suit killing the villain. You only see one side of a story.

Seeing xQc completely disregard Matt's video and watch the misinformed videos from Moist was so frustrating. They 100% do it because Moist's videos are dumbed down and “easier” to follow, and then they act as if they are in the right and start riding the high horse.

The hardest part about having a serious discussion online is that people rarely give a serious attempt at understanding the other party. Actually, that's a problem in face to face discussions too, I guess the problem online is that the time it takes for you to get a feedback on your take is usually too long. I hope Ludwig watches the entirety of this video and gives it a really good thinking, without prejudice.
I hate the dynamics of online discussion. People don't really care, they just wanna be right and get their impressions. It's like on Twitter where someone will just quote retweet some random person they disagree with and try to dunk on them. No actual discussion, just some "gotcha!" line and maybe a personal attack. Genuinely, this is Matto's biggest issue. He is coming from a world of academics, debate, statistics, and research papers. Forget professional venues, even just people who made it through college knows what its like, having to research and present every aspect of a topic, and needing to make rebutals directly formulated on the excepts of others. Reading those 20, 40, 50, 200 page research journals, scrounging through work to then right your own small novel to plop down on someone's desk. Matto is using logic, and his love for debate, in a PR focused, popularity contest, where the voters range from 10-30 years old. Every Ludbud watching on mommy's ipad, every edgy 14 year old XQC fanboy, alongside every 18-30 year old fans of these groups who MIGHT actually look for all the content to try to understand the issues. Matto wants to take an academic look at a cesspool of memes and clout chasing, of course it is going to get messy.
I don't think he worries about losing the audience of kids or manchilds who can't look past what their favorite streamer says ( or attempts to say, in some cases ) in a screen. Yes, this will most likely change nothing at all and just gather more hate and trolls from xqc or asmongold fanboys, but it's also about integrity and standing by what he believes is right, even if most don't think it is.

(i use console normally) i got re recommended this video after watching it when it first came out and all i can say is god damn. i can’t believe the amount of shit you receive for legitimately trying to do the best for people. this whole series makes me so upset. it sucks seeing someone put time into something just for people to not even take time to understand it. it’s hard to remember that your just a real person, real feelings and shit, i couldn’t imaging how frustrating it would feel to be constantly mis-quoted and mis-represented. i really wish u all the best, idk if you’ll see this but yeah :))
I don't think there will be an episode for Charlie. The drama between them was over in a good way and it's less likely for Matt to bring that up again.

That's my problem with most twitch streamers. cr1tikal, Ludwig, pokimane, everyone just listens to chat and makes assumptions based off of inaccuracies to their large audience. Viper doesn't do that so that's why it's so satisfying to see him call out bullshit

Can relate. I was once accused of being a rapist sympathiser on Quora eventhough my essay of an answer was actually trying to say the exact opposite. I had to delete my answer cause everyone refused to read my answer properly and instead decided to listen to some asshole in the comments who wrote a horrible TLDR for my answer. My account almost got banned due to these assholes, luckily the Quora mods DID actually read my answer before anything else
Also those who think he is doing it for drama should check viewcount - DarkViper stated at the begining that it doesnt even sell and he was right. His videos with original GTA V content have more views. He loses by doing it and he knows it, because he is not there to win views.
You always kind of take how content creators act with a grain of salt but seeing this deep dive into how these ppl treat others is a really gut reaching experience thanks Matto for shedding light onto the bullshit these ppl are getting away with :)
I can not imagine what would they have to do to counter anything from his second video. At this point they will either ignore what he said or change their content, first option being obv the most realistic one. So I dont see how could he "lose"

it feels bad to hear about all the misinformation and misunderstandings that Matt has gone through from bigger streamers over these days and the fact that only people who watch his videos will understand what was misrepresented. Other smaller streamers probably go through this too but they have no voice either and its sad knowing that Matt is only being a fraction of the viewers who watched the other people. Stay strong Matt we believe in you and these commentary videos are great keep up the good work.
Hyped for this new series. Not only is it interesting to watch DarkViper explain and/or at least clarifying underappreciated issues with content creation but its also just refreshing to see someone that not only cares about what he is saying but also has the time and knowledge to research and produce legitimately educational and informative videos. Came for Chaos, stayed for the analytical incites.
DarkViper is the only streamer I regularly watch and support. One of the few streamers who can make fair argument and not stay quiet about bullshit because of the possible negative feedback.
All of Matt's videos are entertaining but I find myself coming back to his rants, easily the best videos I have seen that indirectly cover cognitive biases and mindtraps. His morality, will to do the right thing and pure unmatched rationality, the way he catches all of these errors by other creators I find awesome. Never fails to get a laugh about the way he explains how flawed some reasoning really is. Thank you Matt, I wish you all the best

The thing is if anyone took the time of day to actually look into matt when he goes over a situation they would realize he isn't just some random guy that wants clout and to call other creators a liar, he is a man that is passionate about so many different things with giving as accurate of an answer as possible being one of them in every situation. Every time matt is in a situation like this he goes in depth and covers everything to his knowledge which should not only make you take a step back and listen instead of deny deny deny, but it should also make you check what he's saying because if he's doing his best to get an accurate number, chances are the number he ends up with will in fact be accurate. This was honestly just satisfying to watch because whether Ludwig's intentions were malicious or intentionally misleading he did still throw a "wildly inaccurate" number out there without knowledge on how to get an accurate number and not only called it a day but posted it to TH-cam for even more people to see and no matter what the result is, the original purpose of Ludwig's video was for people to go "Oh my lordy lord, Ludwig made half a mil during subathon and only took 3 thousand of that for himself" or something along those lines, it is just such a weird thing to make a video about

The hardest part about having a serious discussion online is that people rarely give a serious attempt at understanding the other party. Actually, that's a problem in face to face discussions too, I guess the problem online is that the time it takes for you to get a feedback on your take is usually too long.

Genuinely, this is Matto's biggest issue. He is coming from a world of academics, debate, statistics, and research papers. Forget professional venues, even just people who made it through college knows what its like, having to research and present every aspect of a topic, and needing to make rebutals directly formulated on the excepts of others. Reading those 20, 40, 50, 200 page research journals, scrounging through work to then right your own small novel to plop down on someone's desk. Matto is using logic, and his love for debate, in a PR focused, popularity contest, where the voters range from 10-30 years old. Every Ludbud watching on mommy's ipad, every edgy 14 year old XQC fanboy, alongside every 18-30 year old fans of these groups who MIGHT actually look for all the content to try to understand the issues. Matto wants to take an academic look at a cesspool of memes and clout chasing, of course it is going to get messy.

Can relate. I was once accused of being a rapist sympathiser on Quora eventhough my essay of an answer was actually trying to say the exact opposite. I had to delete my answer cause everyone refused to read my answer properly and instead decided to listen to some asshole in the comments who wrote a horrible TLDR for my answer. My account almost got banned due to these assholes, luckily the Quora mods DID actually read my answer before anything else
Also those who think he is doing it for drama should check viewcount - DarkViper stated at the begining that it doesnt even sell and he was right. His videos with original GTA V content have more views. He loses by doing it and he knows it, because he is not there to win views.
The simple fact that he could just be doing Chaos% for 1/10th of the effort and twice the views proves that he can't be doing this for views.

The thing is if anyone took the time of day to actually look into matt when he goes over a situation they would realize he isn't just some random guy that wants clout and to call other creators a liar, he is a man that is passionate about so many different things with giving as accurate of an answer as possible being one of them in every situation. Every time matt is in a situation like this he goes in depth and covers everything to his knowledge which should not only make you take a step back and listen instead of deny deny deny, but it should also make you check what he's saying because if he's doing his best to get an accurate number, chances are the number he ends up with will in fact be accurate. This was honestly just satisfying to watch because whether Ludwig's intentions were malicious or intentionally misleading he did still throw a "wildly inaccurate" number out there without knowledge on how to get an accurate number and not only called it a day but posted it to TH-cam for even more people to see and no matter what the result is, the original purpose of Ludwig's video was for people to go "Oh my lordy lord, Ludwig made half a mil during subathon and only took 3 thousand of that for himself" or something along those lines, it is just such a weird thing to make a video about
