The Oyo people the greatest problem we have in Yoruba land.
Imagine a full grown man like this lying. Oranmiyan was born in Ile Ife. He became a full grown man in Ife. Then he went to become King in Benin. Came back to Ife and then later went to found Oyo Ile i.e the Alaafin Throne. Then he left Oyo Ile to become the 6th Ooni of Ife. He died and was buried in Ile Ife hence the Staff of Oranmiyan in Ile Ife.
Now see how this man is brainwashing his people. Telling them the Staff of Oranmiyan in Ile Ife is fake. The enemity of Oyo people to Ile Ife the source is too much.
They are the only problem we have in Yoruba land.

What are you talking about? Oyo people are owners of over 800 Yoruba towns - in Osun, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun and Kogi states. They are the reason Yoruba is peaceful because they do nothing with their majority strength and they allow other Yorubas to decide for them. How many times have you seen them saying they want to be Afenifere leader, UPN (Awo's party) leader, Yoruba Nations leader ......... They made it easy for others including the only other majority Yoruba - Ekiti

Im a proud Ile-Ife born, and I'm full of historical traits and facts, I respect all tribes and culture. But sir , with due respect sir, never ever mention again that "there's nothing like "opa-oranmiyan"...if you haven't seen a real one, go to Ile-Ife sir! Is symbol of oranmiyan
Real opa oranmiyan is in ile ife
Bcos opa as a main in any title in Yoruba any title even in church or mosque
When oranmiyan left throne of Alafin to come and be a senior position which is Ooni then.
That is what purpose of of drop his Real Opa at Arubidi.
That they call Mopa till now.
Oranmiyan became 5th Ooni of ife after he left Oyo to became Ooni.

Sorry to disagree with you, I am from Ibadan. Your alaafin is for your Oyo alone not for me. Please withdraw your statement that Alaafin is for the entire world. That is a huge joke. Personally, your Alaafin is a squatter king who sought refuge at Ago Oja. Too much nonsensical talk from this drunk guy

Alaafin is the paramount tradition ruler of all Oyo people - including Osogbo, Ilorin, Ibadan, Ilaro, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Iseyin, Ede, Iwo .............Awujale and Owa Obokun are seeing as paramounts by their people. But Oyo people are times12 Ijebu in population and with many big ancient towns, it is becoming more difficult for the Alaafin. When Osogbo, Ilorin, Ibadan, Ilaro, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Iseyin, Ede, Iwo, Afonja Ilorin .... Obas are together (all are Oyos), Olubadan will tell Alaafin to take controls. They all know that and no arguments. Those under 40 do NOT even know the meaning of Oyo people. (Not Oyo town or Oyo state people)

@@okasefa563 Go on and on Mr Deluded. OyoAlaafin is this Oyo/Alaafin is that. There's no denying the awesomeness of the throne few centuries back but he Alaafin was the empire king of Yoruba people then and not the Yoruba speaking as we know it today. Go back to your history books and reference to this was not in distant greyed past. At this point, my loftiest and divine thanks to Fulani Emir Shitta of Ilorin for capturing and ignoble killing of Alaafin Oluewu. In that awe divine act, the Fulanis brought to a disgraceful and ignoble end the vestige, the respect, greatness and ensured that the heart of the Oyo and its empire ceased to beat forever. Be that as it may, Oyo and it's Alaafin are today a mere flicker and a disgraceful dot on the face of the earth. Oyo and Alaafin are dead

In Yoruba, Ibadan people are categorized as Oyo people (I am not saying state at all). No separate categories for Ibadan, Ilorin, Osogbo, Ogbomoso.... and no need for it. Yes, Ibadan is much larger today, but there was no Ibadan 800 years ago. So where are the people from? Are you sure I am not from Ibadan? I have seen 3 different Olubadans giving it - (to take control) to Alaafin openly. Ataoja of Osogbo did same in Osogbo 3 years ago. It is a normal among them

      Oranyan Festival is 10.
Oranyan Festival, I thank God I was the person who drafted the Festival description on Wikipedia when I was contacted by my brother and sister, Mr Wale Ojo Lanre and Arewa Omo'ba as Alaafin Ikubabaye Adeyemi commenced Festival celebrations in Oyo in 2012.
Ten years ago! How time flies!
I remain my humble self, Prince K Lashley Oladigbolu
"The first ever Oranyan Festival of Arts, Culture and Tourism was initiated in 2012 by his descendant and ( just departed) reigning successor, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III of Oyo, who mandated that subsequently the festival was to be celebrated annually between the 8th and 15th days of the month of September in Oyo, Nigeria."
