This is interesting, I can testify to the good nature of Oja people despite the fact that I have never been to Oyo or Agooja. I bought some acres of land in one Oja village and there was issues among Omo onile and the surveyor and as well the previous buyer of the land. It was Oloja as I was meant to know that clarified the issues on the land and signed to the agreement of all parties. In fact I have the document to the land and no one ever disturb me on the land till date.
I have been wondering why Oyo has never developed like Ibadan, I never knew that there is a lot of history behind the land of the New Oyo. As we know the Old Oyo Empire encompasses a lot of land perhaps including Agoojo in the past, but many towns and villages already gained liberation from the Old Oyo Empire like the people of Abeokuta. So Oja people should be free and be on their own as well.
By the way, on the issue of the land I mentioned, I happened to know one of the Oyo prince and asked him to intercede and be part of my representative to Oja palace, he refused, he said the domain is controlled by Asika that their people in Oyo town don't interfere in the affair of Isale Oyo. Now I know the reason why he couldn't step there.
All in all we are one Yoruba, we should work together to move the land forward. Both Oyo town and Agooja (Isale Oyo) are still the same Yoruba people, so let us work together. Oodua agbewa ooo.

The genesis of this problem is the conflict between Adeyemi II and Ashipa of Oyo kingdom (who is from Agooja), why not all these narrations prior to the conflict.

My paternal grandmother was Asoju's compound in Awe. The mother of my grandmother also came from Ajitafa compound from the same Awe. A cousin to my father that I was privileged to meet told me that Alaafin then showed them his crown around Ife Odan Road. The question I want to ask is that is Ago Ojas crown that Awe saw with him.

Your version of reconciliation is a win/loss situation, which is always wrong and never sustainable in the long term. It could be a win/win for both sides, which is always sustainable in the long term. For example: Ife Oodua/Modakeke. But Yoruba people like Win/Loss as just a wrong approach to the essence of life. Why not both propers.

The story of ago oja is the story of most indigenous societies across Nigeria, strangers or visitors took over power from indigenous rulers and relegated them,it happened in ijebu, when obanta stylishly took power from the oloko of idoko who was the original paramount king of ijebuland, the Ago oja hurt is noticeable because it was a recent historical event, oyoile was destroyed in 1830,the new alaafin appointed refused to return to the old capital, moving population from the old metropolis into the settlement of the ago Ojas.

We have forgetting that alafin is just like the president and Oyo is just a capital then wherever the president chose to stay that place becomes the next sit of power , that's not the first time it's happening Oyo gas been in katunga that's after jebba,it has been in saki , igboho and now Atiba
Please let high chief answer has they claim that they have oba then the oba is under who's domain and control , it is still alafin , and moreso oja was just a small town which only have baale , the title asipa of Oyo is bigger than the baale oja was.
Secondly both atiba and oja where terrorist then , in the sense that the point that ago now Oyo was , was actually a forest where they take Yoruba people and sell them to slavery cause of the immunity atiba has
Let the chiefs tell us since they claim that their forebears are warriors and fighter which town and territories did they capture.
Am an Ibadan boi my forefathers come from ikotun . Am not an Oyo man but truth must be told

At the very least the truth is somewhere in the middle and based on facts of Atiba, Oyo Ile, Oja(Oyo)'s ruler he met and married into.
