I played ark, and I got this. In my honest opinion I like this more. Cause it's a game, not a force that makes me have to be here all night and day raise a baby dino or something. It looks more real, and I like the combat styles. I enjoy using a pike, and the thrall system is satisfying
The tips are helpful I just started playing Conan on PS4 and so far I like the game I am going to be hanging around the river for a while to get use to combat systems.
There is SO MUCH iron in the south. The cliffs immediately south of The Tower of Bats is covered in so much iron ore that even my entire clan can't get all of it in a single resource run.
They really are underrated and are great for countering the pike along with the katana I've seen so many "pike op" comments its dumbfounding I'm like.....you know theres other weapons in the game right
Now i'm only level 30 so my opinion may be a bit bias but i'd say sticking around the main river but close to the center is a pretty decent place to be. You're close to sandstone, wood, hides, brimstone, iron, Aloe plants, food, water and it's relatively safe. You're always gonna have to move a great distance to get something so you should try to limit what those are. Personally i don't mind traveling far to get things like chests or thick hides but having to do the same with food and water would really suck :)
Also avoid the northeastern desert if youre an arachniphobe its full of spiders and their poison damage is extremely op go up there when you have antidote and good gear plenty of potions spider mobs are no joke
When I learned about these type of arachnid, I prayed to almighty Derketo for advice and it was then when I received a vision that involved intel of the ways of Gods themselves. They taught me Admin Panel existed and now I have all the silk I need.
There's actually a pretty convenient place to build in the lower desert near spawn where you have easy access to sulfur, coal, iron, glowing goop and more!
Southwest of the summoning place, down by the beach, theres a cliffside that makes a good building platform, with a sulfer cave nearby, TONS of iron and coal a short walk north. As well as now with full release, a metricshittonne of gossemer for silk.
Rayko they are probably talking about sinners refuge dustdevil ridge area, look for the circular oasis and go just north of it. Just under the cliff slightly to the right is a thrall cave. At the top of that hill, hint take the ramp, then go right is iron.
Crystal can be found in caves in the south. One in particular is not far from newbie river, though the exact location escapes me. Starmetal and black ice are obviously going to be in the north. The far north. Farther than say, the River's End area.
"A bow is only useful for taking out enemies from a distance" I'm sorry but what did you expect instead? You want to bludgeon people with it? lol it reminds me a lot of oldschool mmorpgs where the ranger classes simply were not meant to get in melee distance.
They problem is mobility. It's too easy for a melee player with a shield to chase down an archer. Biws just don't do enough damage to make their range worthwhile. It can be useful in situations where your opponent can't get to you quickly, ie you're up on a wall or cliff, but head on it's just not a good idea.
People who tend to main rangers know the ropes- Stalk, get a safe vantage point within range, and with cover, carry enough arrows to take down an army, be ready to run, climb, or swap to melee in an instant. Bows saved my butt in early game, when I couldn't craft diddly squat, and everything wanted to eat me. That said, once I was in light armor, I learned to love my daggers. :D
@@Kaotiqua All that wont help for shit, with npc's who walk straight lines through obstacles and stuff... Stalking never really works, and you don't do enough damage with bows even on max accuracy so you can carry as many arrows as you want
I would recommend to also make a small crafting base far east. There are sunken ships with gold there, like gold bars and such that can be used to make coins. There is also iron nodes galore there, so building a small crafting base far to the east can really help early on as you'll be able to mass produce weapons and armor just in case you die or want to recruit people into your clan
I suggest either Mitra or Yog for starter religion... of course Yog has that stigma of even the ancient race of the exiled lands not even liking him... and the whole cannibal thing... but the meat is tasty. Mitra gets ambrosia, which can serve as an effective healing item early on without having to binge eat through your food to heal up. Of course, this becomes much less important in the mid-game, when access to fish traps and a stove lets you make Fish Strips, one of the best mid-game food in my opinion. It offers great regen, lasts a decent amount of time, and with enough traps, gives you both a steady food supply, and steady fuel supply once you can make a fluid press and get oil from the fish. If playing with others, I also suggest someone go with the Set religion. While Jade makes a good point about not focusing on the bow (I have zero points in accuracy), having one is always handy for pulling enemies and kiting some creatures and bosses. I regularly solo the Black Keep and just kite the boss since he moves so slowly, and just fill him with a couple hundred Snake Arrows. Snake arrows don't deal much damage at first glance, but if you look again, they also deal a damage over time poison, making them a very inexpensive to make (10 branches = 10 arrows), and rather effective tool to have in your arsenal.
Best to go to the north west of the map beyond bucket loads of iron ore to be found and every tree contains resins for your black ice structures. Only down fall is ghost skeletons and wolves but hug the edge if the map climb up the cliffs and you have a op base spot with rams easy kills and easy meat!
I don't agree with quickly moving up to the north. There is plenty of POI to be discovered which is the best way to lvl up. So Explore explore explore !
Dregs at low level? Just bring a few bows and a ton of arrows. Avoid all the mobs (except the lizard , good eats) and keep your distance from the boss, the corners right next to the grated exit seem to be safe and trick shot can let you hit the boss from just about anywhere. I stayed in the south, right outside the dregs, and don't have any real problems. Iron seems scarce but plenty drops in the NPC camp my residence overlooks.
That's why I chose Crom. You will find priests for all other religions, but never a priest of Crom. I don't remember reading about any religions in the Conan series short stories or novels but I liked the movie 'Conan, the barbarian'.
I build a "lets kill the dregs/abysmal remnant early" base right near the darfari village. It just takes a few hours and a couple runs for iron up north to get all the stuff necessary to farm the Abysmal remnant. Then you can have some pretty cool mid game gear moving forward (abysmal sword and reptilian armor being the main ones)
You can find large iron deposits over by the sentinels statues. So staying at the Southern part of the map is not a scrubby place. Gotta remember not everyone playing Conan has played Ark or something else similar to Conan. I think just going past the first river to build is a good spot as there is water, crystal, aloe, stone, iron, coal, and everything else u may need. But thats just my opinion. You gonna be doing a Lets play for pvp on Conan?
I agree. My Clan's base is on the southside of newbie river and we have iron, bromstone, coal, and other resources all very close to us. The only thing we really have to travel for is to go to the volcano.

I-5 island is a great place to start building a first home. The komodos are easy enough to kill and it has a huge amount of iron deposits and thralls just north of it.
If you need to get rid of corruption and don't have a dancer go to the friendly city and find Conan; it's a pretty simple run if you follow the path to the right of the camp. Some hyenas to deal with but it's fairly safe path; just dont go through the forbidden city and don't go into the ghost wall.
Exactly where you said don't go at the start is where i stayed till lvl 40 and had full steel armour n weapons because all the rss needed are actually there haha
if you can get a head shot on the deer or antelope archery will one shot them. I think archery's primary function is for long range defense and hunting.
Best way to explore and travel, I usually set up far north on the map and getting there without bed rolls from first spawn without dying is near impossible However, the feeling of completing that journey and finally setting up is just the fucking best
I find Ymir the best religion to take at the start, since it's one of the harder ones to learn via a trainer. Plus, once you finally can build a preserver, you can convert ice shards into ice, and voila...
Religion is an easy choice: choose Jhebbal Sag at the start since it's the hardest to learn in the game. If you choose it at the start you don't need to learn it later. Archery is useful later in the game when you can shoot arrows to light explosives from a safe distance. I agree though, that it's practically useless otherwise. In particular, if you depend on setting lots of archer thralls around your base, they'll be surprisingly ineffective at defending the place against intruders.
Across from the big island on exactly J5 there is a camp that has a mother load of iron in it. It is near water and it seems to be in an over-all good area. I have a base on that Island at J5 and when I need Iron it is a short swim away, same if I want thralls.
Old school gamer here (25) and over the past couple years I have started to play a lot less mostly just due to work/school but holy shitt this game is amazing. I never have been big into medieval games but this one is really awesome. it is sort of a mix between Elder Scrolls, Mine Craft, a little bit of dark souls. Love how you can build Anywhere and how everything you do gives you XP. At first, I was just thinking "Okay running around naked, running around naked," a friend dropped by and he was like oh what's this game?, looks awesome and we messed around a bit, learned to make a few things, then I ended up playing until 2 AM LOL.
I recommend playing on official servers had me and a few buddy's lost lvl50+ charecters and at least 80 slaves and everything cause the server closed down "host closed the connection"😥
SysV6 omg dude it happened to me too but I only had a level 10 character. This was my first time playing a survival game and suddenly I was pissed how all my progression got deleted. Now I’ll jump back to the game!
Great video bud. Could use a bit of audio increase on the vocals though. Maybe 20% or so. I imagine it sounds just fine with decent speakers but it I had to max the volume on my laptop.
When ya in a big clan having someone built in archery is practically a must and can be an insane support character with the right arrows plus there are now bows that are pretty op
One on one however archery is more of a problem but can be useful (no need for points just use the support kinda arrows in defence or attack in raids) when in a optimal position u can destroy an army of thralls without takeing damage with poison arrows
Your explaination on religion is not getting to the point. Religion in this game is actually a skill/feat, you can either learn your entry level of religion feats for free from NPC or use your own feats point(costly). Everything onward is required your feats point to upgrade. Hence, you can actually have all the gods' altars (work like workbench) at your base and making items with them at the same time.
Man, this game looks nice! Even how the avatar walks, it’s got a little character. I’m a big Ark player, so I’m a mix of excited and afraid about Conan... still waiting to purchase til it’s more developed lol
More developed? o.O I mean release day was yesterday, it was in early access for the entirety of last year. There is an endgame. o_o exactly what do you mean by more developed? At this point the only major content we are missing is the last planned religion, and the sorcery mechanic. Beyond that, it's just bug fixing and stability. [and whatever major content they plan as dlc.] As it stands anything they promised would be in the game, that currently isn't in the game, will come as free updates.
I actually like the start area, and in worlds without decay, mostly single, making convienet paths, even heck, try to fix the path to move through the world faster getting between the safe areas, places with decays, I still try to have 2 bases, one between the safe area and old area. And a bow is more for walls and defenses fighting, alomg with javelin and spears, but never in direct combat! It's useful if you got bunkered down, especially if you build it with archery in mind. Especially the perks can help bypass those pesky shields.
Each place is meant to have uniquely set resources so there is a reason to travel or choose one over the other. It's been some time since I played so I can't give a real list.

After 10 mo on official ARK, comes in rule 6: Private servers do exist with varying rates and server settings of difficulties. Talk to some steam and discord communities. You don't have to be on official servers if you dont want to.
Take note as well, I have traveled in a place that gave me corruption early-ish in the Unnamed City (way too early for an entertainer anyway) However, when you find Conan in Supermeru "City of the Relic Hunters", he has 3 entertainers behind him who will also take away corruption by standing around them and just talking to Conan... So you won't be stuck with low health and stamina if you can make it there without death! :)
Tbh....not by far your first 1-2 days sure but after putting time into the learning curve it's actually fun and easy My first 3 days I was scrubby asf and couldnt get past cloth rags Now i have a pretty big base nice armor, upgraded weps, etc (have not started collecting thralls yet waiting till I set up my final base first) But yeah you just have to take the time to sit down and make sure you understand how everything works Ngl though, it would be nice if the game went a bit more into detail on things because understanding what to do with resin and how to get by products are hard to grasp Just give it some time, my best advice Start up singleplayer and alter the values (I have mine to where I deal a bit more damage than normal and xp gains doubled) this way you can test, experiment, and play around with shit without being disturbed and your progression getting halted for whatever reason
@@LilJ3090 that's why I love the game lol even to craft some stuff it takes a process and a half just to get the materials to craft said stuff. 😂 9/10 times it's very rewarding if you have the patience to do it.

My first thrall was a Tier 1 Entertainer (I was ~ Lvl 10) because I wanted to see what she would do. I was still south of the first river. Maybe I just got lucky.
If u just bought the game on console i recommend not spending to much time on singleplayer/ co op. Get to know the.controls and a few spots maybe scout a few places were a base will be good but do not make like a tire 3 (hell even 2) base. The game needs to be played with others thats how you'll get the most from it. If u are worried about getting killed well one part of it is the rush of defeating your opponents and also the soul crush of thinking you gotta start over. And two there are pve servers and while players and still grief u it's not as bad
Better to build a small base out of the best construction than a big base out of sand stone in PvP. Also a compact base is cheaper to defend and supply food for your thralls. A small base has less blind spots, easier to locate on difficult terrain and cheaper to man with thralls. The best base design in PvE is often the worst in PvP. If you are into creation, building and self expression with like minded gamers the PvE servers are for you. PvP is for those who do not mind losing everything they worked for and thinking well outside of the box.
I made mistake of building too much too far south. a lot of wasted resources imo. Also made a huuuuge mistake of venturing all the way up north, and not putting down any roll mats, had to run all the way back naked (female char, didn't mind some of the run back :p )
A friend of mine who is far more in the game than me told me: "invest in creating poison arrows" you can kill almost anything from a safe distance (if you climb on something high enough).
Archery is op as fuk. Use the god set done poison arrows that stack poison. Arrows r also easy to make. But ya only 4 pve/coop. Shoot the legs for a snare. Max accuracy n get half way str the rest isup 2 u. Str adds dam to ur ranged dmg.
Alot of people said this game crashes alot,but I have about 70 hours of playtime and have never crashed.maybe the default settings are set for higher end pcs,always check your settings guys.
This game is difficult, so I'm not too particularly interested in PvP especially after spending countless hrs gathering materials just to build a small little shack village for vikings

Yes, but on PS4, it's a mess in single player. Not saving world state, characters randomly resetting, buildings/resources/crafting stations disappearing. Crashing to Blue Screen randomly between 5min - 1 hour of playtime. In short, yes there is a single player, but check thoroughly about how it performs on your platform of choice. Funcom actually make Wildcard look fairly honest and at least a little bit competent. Shocking, I know.

I'm aware they are not as prevalent in online multiplayer, in Conan. Single player is a mess. I'm glad you're enjoying it though, but denying it's not a buggy mess, is fanboism. Same as if I stated Ark was a perfect masterpiece, it isn't, not by a long shot. It does, however, have a near fully functioning Singleplayer game mode. Which is better on the Pro.

Here's something to try: FAIL AT THE GAME. I'm serius, if you've never failed or take any risks at anything you'll get a nasty surprised when you actually do. Experience the game for yourself, make mistakes, be a smartass, be an idiot, run around, get into places you shouldn't, experiment wierd stuff and see what works and what doesn't work for you. I hate this fucking trend of getting everything in a silver tray as soon as you pop in on the internet man.
Oh I take issue with you brushing off noob beach...I4, I5 and I6 up the river have a 4000 iron vein, brown spider cave with ichor for days AND brimstone. I'm making steel 20 minutes from spawning a new character. Water nearby for fish traps and drinking or water skins, I mean it's bad advice to just say avoid it.
Using a bow is actually a viable option, you just have limited options compared to melee. Don't bother wasting resources to craft bone or higher tier arrows due to their weight, using snake arrows are a godsend even in PvP for their poison and it makes you kick yourself in the arse for not carrying antidotes.
I killed the witch queen at level 12. Don't waist a single moment in the fertile land. Just move out. Also killed the Dregs boss at level 15. It's not hard.

@Showdown you can get turrets up in a few hours on ark, this game is much more grindy and takes a lot more time

Daggers are actually very good weapons which allow you to remain highly mobile even in heavy armor
and they can cripple and cause bleed damage :), my second favorite is the iron Katana
Or u could run around with a hammer

PvP with a bow can be very effective if you manage your stamina well. Also there is a brew you can make to clear corruption. Cheers!

My complaint with archery isn't player bows its npc archers that can spam almost rapid arrows making you into a pincushion

choosing 'no religion' is dumb as hell, the initial setup for a religion cost 50 points.. so choosing one is free
If you learn them from the teachers they cost no points at all
I don't agree with quickly moving up to the north. There is plenty of POI to be discovered which is the best way to lvl up. So Explore explore explore !

Dregs at low level? Just bring a few bows and a ton of arrows. Avoid all the mobs (except the lizard , good eats) and keep your distance from the boss, the corners right next to the grated exit seem to be safe and trick shot can let you hit the boss from just about anywhere.
I stayed in the south, right outside the dregs, and don't have any real problems. Iron seems scarce but plenty drops in the NPC camp my residence overlooks.

You make it sound like you unlearn the religion which isn't the case. You are just learning the additional religion.
That's why I chose Crom. You will find priests for all other religions, but never a priest of Crom. I don't remember reading about any religions in the Conan series short stories or novels but I liked the movie 'Conan, the barbarian'.
I build a "lets kill the dregs/abysmal remnant early" base right near the darfari village. It just takes a few hours and a couple runs for iron up north to get all the stuff necessary to farm the Abysmal remnant. Then you can have some pretty cool mid game gear moving forward (abysmal sword and reptilian armor being the main ones)
You can find large iron deposits over by the sentinels statues. So staying at the Southern part of the map is not a scrubby place. Gotta remember not everyone playing Conan has played Ark or something else similar to Conan. I think just going past the first river to build is a good spot as there is water, crystal, aloe, stone, iron, coal, and everything else u may need. But thats just my opinion. You gonna be doing a Lets play for pvp on Conan?
I agree. My Clan's base is on the southside of newbie river and we have iron, bromstone, coal, and other resources all very close to us. The only thing we really have to travel for is to go to the volcano.

When I 1st started this game, I needed a tutorial on everything.
I-5 island is a great place to start building a first home. The komodos are easy enough to kill and it has a huge amount of iron deposits and thralls just north of it.
If you need to get rid of corruption and don't have a dancer go to the friendly city and find Conan; it's a pretty simple run if you follow the path to the right of the camp. Some hyenas to deal with but it's fairly safe path; just dont go through the forbidden city and don't go into the ghost wall.

if you can get a head shot on the deer or antelope archery will one shot them. I think archery's primary function is for long range defense and hunting.

8:44 I do not think Thralls are permitted in some dungeons. I was not able to bring either a bearer or pet into The Dregs.
for the record you can just go into the city bar and remove ya corruption with the dancers in the bar
Another tip is to remember where you can farm ichor or farm fish to make it, one of the highest tier building materials require metric tons of it.

I was in highlands within 30 minutes of spawning, just booked it and kept placing fiber beds xD
Best way to explore and travel, I usually set up far north on the map and getting there without bed rolls from first spawn without dying is near impossible
However, the feeling of completing that journey and finally setting up is just the fucking best

I find Ymir the best religion to take at the start, since it's one of the harder ones to learn via a trainer. Plus, once you finally can build a preserver, you can convert ice shards into ice, and voila...
Religion is an easy choice: choose Jhebbal Sag at the start since it's the hardest to learn in the game. If you choose it at the start you don't need to learn it later.
Archery is useful later in the game when you can shoot arrows to light explosives from a safe distance. I agree though, that it's practically useless otherwise. In particular, if you depend on setting lots of archer thralls around your base, they'll be surprisingly ineffective at defending the place against intruders.
Across from the big island on exactly J5 there is a camp that has a mother load of iron in it. It is near water and it seems to be in an over-all good area. I have a base on that Island at J5 and when I need Iron it is a short swim away, same if I want thralls.
*PRO TIP*
When you get to the iron age, make a Katana. They are so good and you can kill a tiger with you without taking any damage!
Old school gamer here (25) and over the past couple years I have started to play a lot less mostly just due to work/school but holy shitt this game is amazing. I never have been big into medieval games but this one is really awesome. it is sort of a mix between Elder Scrolls, Mine Craft, a little bit of dark souls. Love how you can build Anywhere and how everything you do gives you XP. At first, I was just thinking "Okay running around naked, running around naked," a friend dropped by and he was like oh what's this game?, looks awesome and we messed around a bit, learned to make a few things, then I ended up playing until 2 AM LOL.

I recommend playing on official servers had me and a few buddy's lost lvl50+ charecters and at least 80 slaves and everything cause the server closed down "host closed the connection"😥
SysV6 omg dude it happened to me too but I only had a level 10 character. This was my first time playing a survival game and suddenly I was pissed how all my progression got deleted. Now I’ll jump back to the game!

Great video bud. Could use a bit of audio increase on the vocals though. Maybe 20% or so. I imagine it sounds just fine with decent speakers but it I had to max the volume on my laptop.
When ya in a big clan having someone built in archery is practically a must and can be an insane support character with the right arrows plus there are now bows that are pretty op
One on one however archery is more of a problem but can be useful (no need for points just use the support kinda arrows in defence or attack in raids) when in a optimal position u can destroy an army of thralls without takeing damage with poison arrows
Your explaination on religion is not getting to the point. Religion in this game is actually a skill/feat, you can either learn your entry level of religion feats for free from NPC or use your own feats point(costly). Everything onward is required your feats point to upgrade. Hence, you can actually have all the gods' altars (work like workbench) at your base and making items with them at the same time.

More developed? o.O I mean release day was yesterday, it was in early access for the entirety of last year. There is an endgame. o_o exactly what do you mean by more developed? At this point the only major content we are missing is the last planned religion, and the sorcery mechanic. Beyond that, it's just bug fixing and stability. [and whatever major content they plan as dlc.] As it stands anything they promised would be in the game, that currently isn't in the game, will come as free updates.

The dreggs is actually really easy if you have one other person, you just need a few hundred arrows a bow and the materials to repair it
I actually like the start area, and in worlds without decay, mostly single, making convienet paths, even heck, try to fix the path to move through the world faster getting between the safe areas, places with decays, I still try to have 2 bases, one between the safe area and old area. And a bow is more for walls and defenses fighting, alomg with javelin and spears, but never in direct combat! It's useful if you got bunkered down, especially if you build it with archery in mind. Especially the perks can help bypass those pesky shields.
I killed the abyssal remnant with gas it lvl 34 and all my weapons are weak not exactly

After 10 mo on official ARK, comes in rule 6: Private servers do exist with varying rates and server settings of difficulties. Talk to some steam and discord communities. You don't have to be on official servers if you dont want to.
Offline singleplayer, no DRM, admin=God mode ,yep glad I bought it physical.
The bow is nice for hunting big game and knocking out thralls once you get the bludgeoning arrow

I've actually killed a boss with arrows...... however it took a hell of a lot of arrows.
I make a point of having 30 vitality before going into a dungeon. I want to be able to duck to the side and heal up if something goes down.

Incase you didn’t know there is an obelisk located on top of the temple right before the abysal remnant dungeon.
Take note as well, I have traveled in a place that gave me corruption early-ish in the Unnamed City (way too early for an entertainer anyway)
However, when you find Conan in Supermeru "City of the Relic Hunters", he has 3 entertainers behind him who will also take away corruption by standing around them and just talking to Conan... So you won't be stuck with low health and stamina if you can make it there without death! :)

Tbh....not by far your first 1-2 days sure but after putting time into the learning curve it's actually fun and easy
My first 3 days I was scrubby asf and couldnt get past cloth rags
Now i have a pretty big base nice armor, upgraded weps, etc (have not started collecting thralls yet waiting till I set up my final base first)
But yeah you just have to take the time to sit down and make sure you understand how everything works
Ngl though, it would be nice if the game went a bit more into detail on things because understanding what to do with resin and how to get by products are hard to grasp
Just give it some time, my best advice
Start up singleplayer and alter the values (I have mine to where I deal a bit more damage than normal and xp gains doubled) this way you can test, experiment, and play around with shit without being disturbed and your progression getting halted for whatever reason
@@LilJ3090 that's why I love the game lol even to craft some stuff it takes a process and a half just to get the materials to craft said stuff. 😂 9/10 times it's very rewarding if you have the patience to do it.

My first thrall was a Tier 1 Entertainer (I was ~ Lvl 10) because I wanted to see what she would do. I was still south of the first river. Maybe I just got lucky.
If u just bought the game on console i recommend not spending to much time on singleplayer/ co op. Get to know the.controls and a few spots maybe scout a few places were a base will be good but do not make like a tire 3 (hell even 2) base. The game needs to be played with others thats how you'll get the most from it. If u are worried about getting killed well one part of it is the rush of defeating your opponents and also the soul crush of thinking you gotta start over. And two there are pve servers and while players and still grief u it's not as bad
Better to build a small base out of the best construction than a big base out of sand stone in PvP. Also a compact base is cheaper to defend and supply food for your thralls. A small base has less blind spots, easier to locate on difficult terrain and cheaper to man with thralls. The best base design in PvE is often the worst in PvP. If you are into creation, building and self expression with like minded gamers the PvE servers are for you. PvP is for those who do not mind losing everything they worked for and thinking well outside of the box.
I made mistake of building too much too far south. a lot of wasted resources imo. Also made a huuuuge mistake of venturing all the way up north, and not putting down any roll mats, had to run all the way back naked (female char, didn't mind some of the run back :p )
A friend of mine who is far more in the game than me told me: "invest in creating poison arrows" you can kill almost anything from a safe distance (if you climb on something high enough).

Archery is op as fuk. Use the god set done poison arrows that stack poison. Arrows r also easy to make. But ya only 4 pve/coop. Shoot the legs for a snare. Max accuracy n get half way str the rest isup 2 u. Str adds dam to ur ranged dmg.
Alot of people said this game crashes alot,but I have about 70 hours of playtime and have never crashed.maybe the default settings are set for higher end pcs,always check your settings guys.
This game is difficult, so I'm not too particularly interested in PvP especially after spending countless hrs gathering materials just to build a small little shack village for vikings

Yes, you can also play coop with a friend without joining a server. If you have a decent computer and internet it shouldn't be a problem.
Yes, but on PS4, it's a mess in single player. Not saving world state, characters randomly resetting, buildings/resources/crafting stations disappearing.
Crashing to Blue Screen randomly between 5min - 1 hour of playtime.
In short, yes there is a single player, but check thoroughly about how it performs on your platform of choice.
Funcom actually make Wildcard look fairly honest and at least a little bit competent.

It does, however, have a near fully functioning Singleplayer game mode. Which is better on the Pro.

Here's something to try: FAIL AT THE GAME. I'm serius, if you've never failed or take any risks at anything you'll get a nasty surprised when you actually do. Experience the game for yourself, make mistakes, be a smartass, be an idiot, run around, get into places you shouldn't, experiment wierd stuff and see what works and what doesn't work for you. I hate this fucking trend of getting everything in a silver tray as soon as you pop in on the internet man.
Oh I take issue with you brushing off noob beach...I4, I5 and I6 up the river have a 4000 iron vein, brown spider cave with ichor for days AND brimstone. I'm making steel 20 minutes from spawning a new character. Water nearby for fish traps and drinking or water skins, I mean it's bad advice to just say avoid it.

When I start a game I instantly run to D11 because there is the cave where I wand to live. And yeah it takes long
Using a bow is actually a viable option, you just have limited options compared to melee. Don't bother wasting resources to craft bone or higher tier arrows due to their weight, using snake arrows are a godsend even in PvP for their poison and it makes you kick yourself in the arse for not carrying antidotes.
I use archery, for gas arrows. It's good for pvp when they're low and running. Got Conan vids on my channel.
I killed the witch queen at level 12. Don't waist a single moment in the fertile land. Just move out. Also killed the Dregs boss at level 15. It's not hard.
