Hello Roger. We spoke yesterday about my Duncan 60 meter. Sorry to disrupt your vacation. Based on your description, my meter is a 2nd gen with a window on the coin door. I will be in touch for parts later this month. Thanks for your help.
Hi Roger. I just discovered your channel. I think I just ordered some parts from you on ebay and I'll be ordering some more. I'm about to start my own restorations on parking meters. I've recently become fascinated with them and love to rescue the old stuff from going to the wayside. Thanks for your informative videos. I look forward to doing more business with you and watching your videos as I jump into rescuing and collecting the old meters!!
Did the city the meter came from give you the key codes? It’s not one key fits all! I can pick, decode and make a key fit your locks… but I would need the meter in my shop to do so.
Are you accepting coin mechs for repair. I have a Duncan. It takes nickles, dimes and quarters. Regardless of what coin I put in the meter the timer goes to two hours. Thanks, jay
Thanks for some good videos. Just starting my interest into parking meters. I see mostly Duncan meters. In my country (Denmark) VDO was the brand. However still almost same mechanism it looks like. Have you come across VDO items, or is that only European?
Hello. i have a ''Carl Magee parking meter'', for which i do not have the key, but the lock is still in place. it's a tubular lock on which i can read: ACE. and around the lock it is written Chicago lock co. EX 114. would you have any advice on how i can open this lock ? thank you
My whole life I assumed you put the money in and i dropped down into the pole and went underground and pushed into a box and the city would go underground and retrieve the money every night 😂😂😂😂 so I googled it.
Great videeo Roger--very informative. I will have to see if they changed the lock on the service door when they changed the lock on the coin door. If not I guess I will have to go to a locksmith and try to have one made. Ronan4749

Excellent video, I was able to add the coin catcher to my Duncan 60, so you can see the coin in the window.
FINALLY! A GOOD video of a model 60 parking meter tour with great information. Everyone else just seems to point, and not do..
Perfect Roger thank you. Exactly what I needed to know!

They was watching your video on taking the clock mechanism out and burning up that gear. Must be common that's what I did need parts
Ok Roger. I have my replacement lens and my meter. Where do I find the service key to open and replace?? I can only find lock keys on EBAY.
I believe I have a 3rd generation model. Where can I acquire a set of keys? 12:10 CST

I need a stand for 2 old parking meters like the 1 on this meter in the video.
Do they use batteries?
Rodger, I know you pick these. Do you have a video on it or is that strictly for hire?
I don't feel comfortable sharing that information.
How does the mechanism inside work?
Greenfield, Massachusetts has the Duncan Model 60 Parking Meters.
That's funny! I just sold a bunch of parts to the ciy of Greenfield, MASS
