Beautiful Restoration. It's nice to see a restorer who is willing to take the extra steps and pay attention to the small details, to make what he's restoring the very best it can be. Well done.

That was very pleasing to watch you restore that old parking meter . I remember too many times back in the day using one and putting coin into them. I sure do miss those meters and those days . Thank you for your showing and skill .

This turned out nice 🙂 I personally have repainted them myself a handful of times when I collected them and they are surprisingly heavy duty and heavy lol, they are made of a magnesium aluminum alloy and are difficult to spray paint when taken down to bare metal, this guy definitely did a better job than I personally have in any of mine that I had in the past, but I admire his attention to details that I personally overlooked on the ones I worked on, GREAT JOB RESTO MAN 😎

Whenever you punch rivets out from behind on name plates, put a piece of hard polistirene (the pink one) under. The rivets will sink the foam, but the name plate won't deform or bend and will remain undamaged.

🤨⚠️ - that suction hole in your spray booth looks a bit too small to extract all of the powder ~ I could see some of it wafting out the sides, you need the size of a box fan with a furnace HEPA filter strapped to the back of it to get all of the powder dust 😉

    • @joe_diy

Yeah it's not very effective. I'm going to rebuild it next year with a combination of box fans and filters in front of a vacuum chamber
