It's funny, but back then, you couldn't find the Oscar Goldman Action figure anywhere in my area. I had Steve, and the Bionic Repair Station, then Mask a Tron, and then Big foot, but never saw Oscar until just last year. My neighbor was cleaning out her house, and came across a bunch of 70's toys, including a boxed Oscar Goldman. Crazy stuff.

At the outbreak of WW2, the British Government decreed that Toy Production should be suspended for the duration. Almost immediately old toys became a valuable commodity. Even trivial items such as Jigsaws, became highly sought after. Second hand Toys were shared among the communities to be given as gifts on special occasions. So, the next time someone giggles when a Toy Collector hands over a mint for a single item, bear in mind the absolute necessity of Childhood memories and how they are shaped by the gifts we receive and the Toys that inspired us.

57 Years old. Besides Star Trek, The Six Million Dollar Man was my absolute favorite show. In Australia it aired Sunday @ 19:30. I used to sit in front of the TV with my Steve Austin Figure watching it through his "Bionic Eye" (LOL). I still have that figure to this day as I got it in 1977 when I was 10 years old. I also have a MIB one with Back-pack Radio (Which is actually how I listened to Radio growing up) and a Maskatron. What a time to be alive.

There’s a broken desk I’ve been stalking on eBay at a realistic price… and I’ve wanted to know more. The tie ins to the Office show is a great touch!

I had the Oscar Goldman figure as a kid, but I never knew this playset existed. My grandfather put his carpentry skills to good use by making a wooden table and two chairs (with proper joints) for Oscar and Steve to sit in. It didn't have the gadgets, but it was an office of sorts, and was extremely special to me because he had taken the time to make it for me.

This episode feels like a throwback, and not because it's covering a toy from the 70s, but because it harkens back to your older reviews which I still go back and rewatch sometimes. Awesome to see a return to SMDM, and a pretty great gift as well :)

Absolutely loved this ! Thank you for the work you put into these. I had Steve Austin and Maskatron. And space capsule. All went to a 2nd hand toy sale in the mid to late 80s. If only we'd known back then what the value would be decades later.

Used to play "Six million dollar man fights" when I was at infant school in the 70's, basically a play fight in slow motion while making the nanananananaaaaa noise, a highlight being chucking yourself dramatically at the metal dustbins. I remember the Teacher screaming WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!

It's amazing for such a simple playset, the amount of great play features they were able to incorporate into it, it makes me wish I was a little older so I could have enjoyed the line.

I missed his initial run being first born in the early 70’s, however many of my friends had older brothers and we used to play with most of the bionic toys. A number of them had that exploding brief case which I always thought was awesome. I never knew though until many years later which toy series it was from. Very cleverly designed item

I think this playset shows why Kenner was such a stellar toy company; this could’ve easily been a flimsy office with a random desk and chair but they made it so cool with all the features! Also Tony considering The Office(US) is my favorite tv show I appreciate all the references throughout

I didn't have this set as a kid, I did have the Bionic Transport and Repair Station, but I remember playing with the desk. Must have been one of my friends, but I can't recall who it might have been. Looking back now, TSMDM line had a lot more toys and playsets than I remember as a kid. Although a look through the old Christmas catalogs during those years suggests I should have known about them. Merry Christmas!

I had the Oscar Goldman and office set as a kid to go with the 6 million dollar man figure. Can't think why my parents bought me this as I wasn't really the biggest fan of the show, more into Action Man. The briefcase was the best thing overall and I probably wrecked the rest while playing with it as I tended to do with all my other toys.

Loved this character and anything connected to him (I'm still bummed out we never got the bionic dog show). Even Oscar was a favorite character and figure for some reason (though I didn't have him; I'm near certain I had Maskatron and just used him with his Oscar mask continually). I did however have his briefcase thanks to a yardsale find that included even the mini-file folder (though no files). I enjoyed that briefcase way to much probably, since I kept it years after losing the last of the other figures or items. But its only in recent years I even set eyes on this OSI set. I'm not sure how I'd have reacted to it as a kid but I'm pretty sure it'd blown my mind with those gimicks and details. And inspired to piece together my own backgrounds to change it up, no doubt. Think thats what I like about 70s less plasticy sets; there's at least hope of doing your own or at least tweeking them a bit. Oh, and I still wonder how many uninformed people have come across the suitcase and had no idea of its hidden secrets.

Want to wish you a Merry Christmas from Colorado USA. Now if you’re a fan of The Six Million Dollar Man then you know the episode with Big Foot. Big Foot throws a guy into a glass cabinet during a fight in an office. Well that guy BF threw was my dad, who was a stuntman on that episode. I can’t remember all the details of the episode because I wasn’t a fan of the show. He also worked on several Star Trek episodes as well and was a very famous character. I had the opportunity to help build the Borg space ship for the episode Q Who and got to meet Gene Roddenberry .
