  • I’ve been using the Fx30 since 2022, and I really do think it is a very good camera. It isn’t perfect, but it gets the job done. I keep hearing complaints about the low light performance in various comments and groups on various social media platforms. I want to explain why people complain about the lowlight performance and what you can do to avoid grainy footage results.

    "I use this thing. You never heard off, probably. It's called the light. Just turn on the damn light" 😂 lmfao

      It's nice to know at least one viewer appreciates my humor 😆

    Wide aperture T1.05 cinema lenes have amazing low light capabilities, even better than F1.4 lenses. Consider trying one out, it brings the FX30 to another level imo.

      Thanks. I'm pretty fond of AF though. I rely on it heavily. Most cinema glass I see is manual focus. Is this still true?

    So, use s log 3, but don't be afraid to turn up the iso to expose it properly?

    • @MichaelWTurner
      @MichaelWTurner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Pretty much. It's what I've experienced with the fx30.

      @@MichaelWTurner thank you very much. I was very scared of going over 2500 iso

      @@garyzhangslog3 likes to be overexposed regardless of the base isos. Your better going higher iso and losing some dynamic range.

    Okay Michael. You obviously already know me because I shoot in SLOG3 at iso 2500 and yea I am afraid to shoot over the base iso. I enjoy correcting stuff in post so wouldn’t I be better off to stick with base iso and correct exposure in post? What has more noise, fixing in post or shooting at iso 6500?

      In my experience if you are way underexposed you will have way more difficulty in post than correcting in camera. Try it yourself though. You might also be way better color correcting than I am

    Hello!
    Can you make a comparison between the FX30 and the A6400?
    To see how different they are in video quality. Not many videos disscus this topic

    • @MichaelWTurner
      @MichaelWTurner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I could do the fx30 vs the a6600. I no longer have the a6400, because I sold it a few months ago.

      @@MichaelWTurnerVery good then. I thought that you had only the q6400 but the a6600 is even better! And there aren't many reviews comparing those 2 Cameras

      As an a6600 owner, I’d love this comparison!

    😂😂😂😂 I'm about to shoot a band tonight just to test this out because I feel it's not going to be good if I cant control the light with this camera 🖼🎨

    Why not make a video about lightning in wedding videography? So the S-Log in APS-C does not have many latitude as the FF sensor? Same plausible, so it makes this feature a gimmick on APS-S.

    • @MichaelWTurner
      @MichaelWTurner  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I'm not sure that I would say it is a gimmick. It doesn't have the latitude, but I don't think anyone should shoot in low light if they can help it. If you add a little light, it does fine. I can certainly make a video about the way I light weddings.
