Hiya Dave Love the colouration on your embankment looks very realistic Great job Dave.. Nice tour of what you have achieved so far. Look forward to future updates Take care Cheers Mark
Hi Mark thank you for your kind comments, I love the creative part of the landscape and have studied the colouring of the vegetation and trees. I have been upgrading and weathering some Lima Class 47s and Mk 1s,and Hornby Mk2s and some more wagon loads for theSAA wagons, I will do a small update about these soon, hope to your waterfall corner update and look forward to seeing it, you have created a excellent layout with tons of detail, and it's coming along a treat. I love the hobby and the community. Stay Safe mate speak soon kindest regards Dave 👍🚞🚄 🚂
Hi Medway Model Railway many thanks for your kind comments 👍🚄🚂🚞, I will be doing more updates and running videos more regular. All the best Kindest Regards Dave👍🚞🚄
Hi Dave I enjoyed the update and admire the scenic work you have done . It does give a realistic feel and you have cracked the ballasting too. Cheers Kev
Hi Kev many thanks for your kind comments👍i done a bit of studying regarding the different shades on the scenary, as for ballasting its not my favorite part of the hobby, but taking time and little by little seems to work. Kindest Regards Dave 👍🚄🚂🚞
Wow Dave mate you have been busy, very impressive work looks the business in the corner, absolutely love it well done, you can’t beat having a HST the weathering you have done is superb, thank you for the shoutout all the best, speak soon kind regards Danny 👍🏻👀👋🏻🤩
Cheers Danny for the kind comments👍I loved doing the scenary and the fine detail, I have loads of photos from my time on the Railway. I have tried to save money by purchasing an old hornby HST set and Lima Class 47s. I still have a way to go as the other side of the layout is European themed sort of German, Swiss Austrian moder image with overhead Catenary. I will be planning a day out on the network to get some videos and photos of rolling stock. Take Care Mate Kindest Regards Dave 👍🚂🚄🚞
First time viewer and just subscribed. This is an excellent layout really like the scenery and the embankment. Look forward to following your progress. All the Best David

Hi Bleak Hall micro many thanks for your kind comments👍, I'm into the Network Southeast BR era and I love the late 70s,80s,90s era. The layout I am doing is more for running full length trains rather than shunting. I hope to add another running session tomorrow. Kindest Regards Dave 👍🚂🚄🚞
Wow, what you’ve done on the layout so far is amazing, especially the tunnel mouth entrance/cutting, very inspirational! Thanks for sharing and I’ve subbed ready to see the next instalment 👍 Cheers, Dave
Hi Dave many thanks for your kind comments, I love your layout it is fantastic and the small detail is brilliant, love your running sessions. I love the diesel and emu era 70s,80s,90s. I will do another small update soon. Look forward to your next video, and what you may have decided to do with regards to your key points on your last update, to extend into the other room sounds good but it's the cost of renovating etc, especially at the moment with the rising cost of materials. Kindest Regards Dave 👍🚄🚂🚞
Nice work! You have a like and a new subscriber! I was in the S&T at Liverpool until I retired in December 2018. I managed forty-one and a bit years. Glad I’m out of it now. So where were you based? Just curious. Always nice to meet a fellow railwayman! You see so many layouts where all the locos are perfectly detailed but the lineside furniture is either not there or in the wrong places, etc, so it is great to see a layout where its been done properly! Really like the colours of your scenery. Looks right - and thats half the battle. But don’t forget the ID plates on the your signals! The IC125 looks good. I don’t have a layout but have just bought an Accurascale Deltic for static display in a case. Its almost too perfect and very fragile in regard to detailing, so much so I’m almost scared to touch it! My point is that you don’t have to have the latest, most detailed locos and stock to create a good model - what you have done with the 125 and the Lima 47’s proves the point. Keep up the good work! Looking forward seeing further progress. Best wishes from up here on Merseyside. 👍🏻
Hi Darren thank you for your subscription and kind comnents, I started in 1987 based at Selhurst Depot with the ETE Maintenance depot for 20 yeard, and then went into Projects as an E&P Construction Manager based at Waterloo General Offices and spent all my time at different ĺocations within the Southern Region Territory, I retired last December and my last big job was on the Isle of Wight Blockade doing the Power Supply upgrade at Ryde St Johns, Sandown and Rowborough near Brading, I have some videos on my you tube channel of the 1938 stock prior to their retirement from service. I have two layouts at the moment and am enjoying building the layout in my shed, i have been upgrading some old Lima Class 47s with CD motors and the HST also has a CD motor fitted and runs on DCC. I also have some Lima Executive Mk1s that have been weathered and had flush glazing fitted. I love the hobby and agree its the smaller fine detail on the trackside that often gets overlooked. Happy Modelling kindest regards Dave 👍🚊🚞🚋
Looks good 👍 I personally like the weathering on the 125.. I certainly would appreciate some advice on lineside cabinet and other stuff placement as im building a pretty large layout and it's always good to know what should go where.. regards Daniel
Hi Daniel Thanks for your kind comments , I have been a long subscriber to your channel and love your updates, your layout in your new garden room is very impressive and the attention detail is fantastic,I love the NSE era and I started my railway career in 1987 at the height of the NSE era, I love the Class 50s and always remember the thrash through places like Clapham Junction and Wimbledon when they were on the West of England Services. My favourite location was Salisbury, it just oozed NSE. If there is anything I can help you with regarding lineside furniture just let me know. Keep up the excellent work and look forward to your next update. Happy modelling kindest regards Dave.👍🚄🚂🚞
Hi BachmannObsessed22 thank you for question, the two signal gantrys are scratch built with plasticard I searched on the Internet for measurements and took photos of some gantries on the Southern Region of Network Rail, I ordered the 3 aspect signal heads from Model Rail UK and these are about £14.00 for a pair the come with the resistors supplied, they can be wired to a heathcote electronocs sequencer and they work well and there is a timer to delay the change of aspect. I hope this is of help to you.👍kindest regards Dave 👍🚄🚂🚞
