When I first started watching your channel, I told my husband how I loved that something seemed to go wrong in almost every video and that you left those mishaps in the videos. Love how you stay professional but don't edit to make it look like everything is perfect every time. You make it so relatable and educational. ❤️
HEY Louise I have a question about substituting something for the noodles. I live in the UK and the only type of egg noodles we have here is the Asian type of noodles. I really miss America style noodles. Do you think maybe shell or another type of pasta would work, and if so what would the pressure cook time be?
Yes, definitely! I follow some folks who do mukbangs, and usually they’ll keep it real, but do tend to resort to packaged ramen, and ready-made this and that, saying “Today I made (such-and-such).. I hate it when they do that. 🤷🏼♀️
I tried the soup and it turned out great! I added 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the recipe. I brought some over to my 92 year old neighbor and she said it was so mildly tasteful and tender she loved it. Thank you for your recipes! Your tender spirit shows through in your videos. Thank you again!
Your "mishaps" are those teaching moments about our kitchen tools that take frustration out when something like that happens and make it a simple "aha, I forgot to..." situation. Love watching your recipes in action!
Thank you so much, for always sharing with us the, “variables,” and letting us see the things that can happen, instead of deleting them out. You’re the best! ♥️
You're the absolute b at instructor! I love how you explain the WHY to things and how to fix mistakes that might happen. This makes it easy to apply your teachings and techniques to other dishes. And you're so calm with mistakes. Makes me feel better that there are solutions to problems and you don't have to freak out and think you ruined an entire meal😅 Needless to say, I'm happy you exist! Happy New Year!!
I always learn so much from your videos. You give the back story to things including the mishaps. I'm so glad I saw this. I have never used a pressure cooker so this is important information. Thank you.
I love that you leave in the mishaps, explain what’s happening, possible reasons and what to do to rectify it. I had that happen to me on one occasion but didn’t know why or what to do so I just let it go and cleaned up afterwards, now, I know to seal it again and let it naturally release a bit longer. Thank you Louise, your a great teacher. ❤❤ omg, I commented before finishing the video but you found the reason it happened and explained it too ❤❤
Thank you for not deleting this video! I’m new to the foodi world and would have NOT known what to do if this had happened to me. You’re amazingly REAL! I LOVE that
I used 4 Turkey thighs. 3 lbs. tripled the veggies.Doubled the stock. Out of this world. The time is incredible. Wife loved it and she is the incredible cook in the house. 8 qt ninja xl air crisper Christmas gift to ourselves is the best gift ever.
Got a Foodi for Christmas, had no idea how to use it. I found your videos, which you are extremely helpful in explaining the use and helpful tips. I fixed your pot roast recipe while watching step by step...It turned out AMAZING!! We loved it and very impressed! I have watched several of your recipe videos, can't wait to try them. You do a fabulous job! Thank You So Much
I make a creamy chicken noodle soup and watched this video to try it in the pc and it turned out great. Just as good as cooking it on the stove. Had to adjust a little on the broth to accommodate the noodles and add a bit more of my seasonings but it was actually creamier and a bit thicker the the stove method. Loved how it made the job quicker and not as much cleanup. Because of you Louise, I love cooking now. You are appreciated much more than you know!
We made this soup and it was fabulous. Texture was perfect and flavor was perfect. I’m not a dark meat fan so I might experiment with white meat next time. We just LOVE your recipes. So delicious! Thank you so much
My new go-to. I made it without noodles since I try to go easy on the carbs. My 4-year-old picky eater asked for thirds of this and slurped all of the broth out of his bowl!!!!
Today my husband had dental surgery. I knew I would pull up your recipe when I came home and make him a nice soup for when he wakes up. YOUR SO APPRECIATED, THANK YOU
I have a pressure cooker and I’ve yet to use it. I want to try the soup in it first. My mom used to make a soup like this. Thank you for leaving the pressure cooker issue in the video. It’s such a great learning lesson. I’m glad I found your channel. I’m learning so much from you.
I love watching you cook and enjoy what you made. And I LOVE when those problems crop up like they do for us at home watching. And you show us what to do when they do. That is much appreciated information for us all, I'm sure. Love your channel!!
What a wonderful way of cooking, I like your chicken noodle soup homemade recipe. You have elaborated the whole procedure of making chicken noodle soup so easily. Keep sharing more spectacular recipes.
This was the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever made!! I made the stock the day before and skimmed off 3/4 of the fat. It still had so much flavor!! I will definitely make this often during the winter!! Thanks so much for your videos and recipes! Have a healthy and safe New Year!!🥳🍵
I can actually s.ell this chicken soup Wish I had the time limit for slowcooker & stove process I have a strict budget & a senior God Bless & thank you for sharing your recipe. I like how detailed & you explain everything, even the ninja foodie mishap. Haha. BUT you weren't afraid to explain the pressure release problem. You figured it out. You are a super lady & honest. Keep up the great work. Enjoy your videos so much.❤😂🎉
Amazing videos! I've watched about a dozen now and the production quality, content, and your on air personality is top notch. Somebody get this lady on Food Network! I am new to the Foodi world and your information is invaluable. Keep the videos coming!
You can do this same thing in the Foodi and use chicken bones instead of turkey. The most important thing is the ratio of bones to water. thesaltedpepper.com/instant-pot-bone-broth/
I make mine from bone broth made with the carcass and meat that clings to the bones along with water. I find if I use orzo it continues to absorb and grows very large which makes thick soup. I love thick soup but most people don’t. Anyway I want to let you know I learned a great deal from this video. I always do from your videos. My next batch will have some improvement! Thanks to you.
Hi, Louise! Thank you so much for your video! My mom got me the Ninja Foodi for Christmas this year and I've been on the hunt on how to make chicken noodle soup in it! I appreciate that you left the pressure valve mishap in the video because I haven't ever used a pressure cooker before, so I was a little daunted by the task, but now I feel more than up to the challenge. Thanks again for the videos.
I am so ready to cook it!! Thank you Louise and yeah I was laughing everytime the rooster crowed too ha ha that was funny!! A great job and video!! Thank you so much!!
I might be trying to look at the recipe too soon but I couldn’t find it at your website. It looks so good that I want to try. I’ll check back and see if Ali was just getting too anxious.
I’ve made homemade chicken soup for years; but this recipe is outstanding 😊. Bursting with flavor like I’ve never had before. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Can’t wait to try more of your recipes for the Ninja Foodi
Louise this looks amazing, I have made the chicken stew and that is a firm favourite with my family and this will be too, I shall be making this tomorrow. Love and best wishes from the UK. 🥰
I am glad "those things" happen on video and you dont edit it out! Then we know what to do when it happens to us. I love your videos! Your voice and precious wee face are in my kitchen often 😍
Excellent recipe! I make mine virtually the same. Good to know to check the lid! Out of all my pressure cookers I love my ninja the most for soup because I have never had a problem with it spewing out the liquid like the others do. I've never had to Do a controlled release. But now I know to ALWAYS CHECK! I got a big beautiful whole chicken this morning to make chicken and rice but now you have me hungry for chicken noodle soup! Thanks again for the tip and I'm glad that something always happens when you are doing a video, lol because it sure helps us all!
I made chicken noodle soup in the blender (the one in the Ninja cookbook) but I am going to try yours today. We finally hit 32 degrees, but I am still chilly, this will be so good. Thanks Louise
I'm so excited to try this!! I'm not very experienced at taking meat off chicken bones; I tried deboning thighs when they were raw and it was difficult. I'm guessing when they've been pressure cooked the meat will come off easier? Hopefully! :) What a great winter recipe, thanks!
liked subbed and rang bell!!! thanks for all the great videos love your channel!!! is there any way you can make a video on how you clean your Ninja foodi?? would love to see how you do it!!!
Thanks so much! I don't really have any special way of cleaning it, but so many people have asked me to do a video, I guess I should put it on the list.
I had the spewing last week and had some idea of what was going on. You had a cooking lesson extra. Now I know to take that valve apart and clean! I was making pinto beans and the spewing of bean juice was awful! Thank you for not editing the spewing part out. AND your chicken soup looked fantastic.
Good morning Louise..I am making this Chic Noodle Soup today!! Wondering if your soup bowl is PC? If not?? Would like to find clear ones that size. Love Love Love your channel! Your peppermint Patties, PB fudge, are amazing to by the way!!
I was able to adjust the recipe servings down but when following printed directions the quantities where not adjusted down from original servings . I corrected the amounts in red ink & hoping this was correct. This is the first dish I have made following one of your recipes. Thanks for the video & ability to adjust serving size, looking forward to a great bowl of soup!
Hey hun, love your recipes! The reason you got all that foamy steam is the noodle starch! Put in 2 cups of noodles next time or you need to do a natural release all the way with like a 0 min cook time. Or use a different noodle. Eggies always foam up no matter what I do with em in a pressure cook. For anyone who doesn't want to deal with that, a farfalle or some other actual non egg PASTA noodle works better. :)
Thanks! I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that I made it this exact way 3 other times and never had that happen and when I checked the cap it was clogged partially with thyme leaves. I also had a friend make it and it didn't happen to her. This time, I think it was the clogged cap, but you are exactly right that pasta can cause foam. A zero cook time with a full NR would most likely overcook the noodles, but a zero cook time with a 10 minute natural release is a good option. I'll wait for feedback to see if anyone has the issue that I did and if so, I can always change the recipe after testing it again.
I can’t say it enough...how I really enjoy watching you cook. Sorry sometimes things go wrong during taping, but thanks for sharing the experience with us. My mother was a terrible cook, my father did most of the cooking. He had a old time pressure cooking going on the stove, my mother couldn’t leave it alone..lol, she messed with it, while he was outside...anyway..it blew up..scared the living..you know what out of me, I was little kid..well dad was upset but started laughing because the seal was missing. They looked everywhere...well except on the ceiling lol she never messed with anything he started cooking and I’ve never tried using anything like a pressure cooker in my life. I’m now 53 and still no..lol But that little accident that happened here...would have and did freak me out. Idk what I would have done and you was so calm and cool about it. I prefer to bake vs cook. But love love your stuff. Thanks again for sharing everything that happens. Sorry for my long story here.
Thank you so much! Those old time pressure cookers are much scarier than the new electric ones! I hope you try it sometime! If not, I get it though! Happy New Year!
just roasting a chicken and the left overs will make a nice warm comfort meal, need to go buy some carrots and celery, makes me hungry thinking about it
I like this technique. What's your take on adding frozen cheese tortellini instead of the egg noodles instead as a variation? Would I need to change the cooking time?
I’m going to try this sometime soon. It looks perfect for whatever ails you! I don’t have a ninja yet, but I do have a handy dandy Crockpot slow cooker. All ingredients I CAN HAVE here, too, so I’ll follow your recipe pretty much to the letter, cutting back a bit on the salt maybe. 🤔 I’m on dialysis, with restrictions on sodium, potassium, and phosphorus, so gotta be a little careful. I SO much enjoy your channel, and even Follow you now on Amazon! ♥️😃👍👍
Do you think you could use drum stick chicken legs?? Looks amazzzing gonna make tonight but only have drum sticks.. can make a trip to the store need be
I think that would be fine. Just keep in mind that the drumsticks have less meat on them, so you might want to use more or decrease the rest of the ingredients a bit.
I know this is off topic but my wife bought me the 6.5 qt. Foodi for Christmas and I'm wondering if you think that it's big enough for a family of four, should we go for the 8 qt.?
The only difference is in the height, so you only need the bigger one if you want huge batches of soups/stews/one-pot meals and like to cook larger cuts of meat.
Hey Louise! Lovely recipe, and as ever, fabulous tips for us inexperienced home cooks! When I make chicken soup (at least, before I bought my Ninja Foodi 2 weeks ago) I cook a WHOLE chicken in a saucepan of water on the hob/stove). Can you please let me know if I need to tweak this recipe method, because I am using a whole chicken (around 4lbs), instead of chicken thighs/chicken pieces? My mum is ill - just home after an emergency hospital admission - so I'm anxious to put some good nutrition into her very fast! She hasn't eaten a thing in 24 hours. I would be so, so grateful if you could get back to me asap with advice on making chicken soup in my new Ninja Foodi, using a whole chicken. Thank you lovely lady, any advice would be so very much appreciated! Merry Christmas to you & dear Jeff, from your friends Across the Pond. XXX 🎈🎄🎈🎄🎈🎄🎈🎄🎈🎄🎈🎈🎄🎈🎈

I’m now 53 and still no..lol
But that little accident that happened here...would have and did freak me out.
Happy New Year!
just roasting a chicken and the left overs will make a nice warm comfort meal, need to go buy some carrots and celery, makes me hungry thinking about it
Yes, absolutely! I love a roasted chicken.
I like this technique. What's your take on adding frozen cheese tortellini instead of the egg noodles instead as a variation? Would I need to change the cooking time?
I think that would be fine. If they are the refrigerated kind, they should be fine with a zero PC time. if they are dry, they might need 1-3 minutes.
I see you’re a Pampered Chef addict too. 🥰
Yep! I'm also a consultant, but don't do shows or anything like that. I love their products.
Thanks so much and I hope you love it!

Thank you, enjoy your day!
I’ve made this! It’s AMAZING!
I'm so glad you liked it!
Do you think you could use drum stick chicken legs?? Looks amazzzing gonna make tonight but only have drum sticks.. can make a trip to the store need be
I made the shepherds pie last night and oh my goodness it was a hit!! I love your channel so much
* cottage pie 😅
I think that would be fine. Just keep in mind that the drumsticks have less meat on them, so you might want to use more or decrease the rest of the ingredients a bit.
I'm so glad. you liked it!
First merry Christmas to you and your family,
This Christmas I used quite few of your recipes for for our small Christmas gathering, it was a big 6s thank you very much, Louise and Jeff, 💝💝💝
Same to you!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear this!
lol my mother is a big fan. She says you're her favorite online chef..
That is so kind of her! Tell her thank you for me!
@@TheSaltedPepper I will. I bought her a Ninja Foodi for Christmas and she watches your videos every day. She's so cute.
@@TheSaltedPepper Thanks so much for the quick response Have a Happy New Year
Your rooster is looking for his lady you just cooked..lolol
LOL! When I reviewed the video, that wasn't lost on me! I promise it wasn't one of his lady's in the pot though! I love my chickens.
