The bumper clicker is either two low or high. Mine was off set by like 5 degrees and I had to put tape on the protecter(adding layers to it) around the clicker. It wont feel good to use but itll work until you get a new one.

I mean i had an xbox 360 controller that went to hell and back. Smash it against the floor, went clear through a wall, ya know. Typical cod player stuff. Even after years and years of absolute tormented abuse my controllers still worked even with cracked housing and missing plastic. With all of that damage I still smashed every game i joined. Total beast and will never forget those glorious days. But for a 200 dollar controller, you'd hope it will withstand that occasional rage smash.
lmao, So I bought a USED elite 2 controller for $90 at best buy, it was deal of the day and had an open box, but when I got home, the two bumper buttons didn't work right, but it was a SUPER easy fix. So I removed the lb and rb, removed a thin piece of paper it has, put some wd40 on a qtip and put it where you see the lb and rb button, either put the piece of paper back or not and bam brand new elite 2 controller for only $90. I've been using it for 4 months now, just take care of it and it will last, i LOVE the elite 2 .
Quit button smashing, I've had the same controller for 3 years I actively play COD and still no stick drift. But if you button smash and don't take care/ clean your controller get a warranty and replace it when needed for the warranty price so you aren't spending 200$, Don't forget..
I feel like the joysticks are also so weird to use. Linear feels so fast and uncontrolable on the elite 2 and no matter what settings i adjust on the controller nothing fixes it. Feel like i should learn claw instead on a normal xbox controller

I just got the wolverine v2 chroma. So far I love it! It is wired tho. But the chord is a decent length & it’s the usbc plug. It’s heavier than the wolverine ultimate. & they eliminated the head phone port that functioned like the aftermarket audio ports that came on the 1st gen controllers. Feels smaller so it’s easier to use the paddle buttons. My elite2 can get dusty for all I care now! It feels & functions perfectly. Only had it for a couple weeks tho. If I don’t come back then I’m still using it.
maybe its because you play FORTNITE. You might have stiff hands and push really hard on your controller causing it to be damaged or you just throw it across the room and damage it that way. Try being more careful because I doubt its the controllers fault its breaking within 2-3 months, ive had a regular xbox controller for 4 years and everything has been fine.
everyone saying your elite broke from misuse but i actually think it’s from overuse. you should really only be using the elite controller for the game that you play competitively. you should be using a standard xbox controller for every other game you play such as story/casual multiplayer games. if you don’t play competitively then there’s no reason you should own an elite controller. remember, while the elite on paper has better build quality than a standard controller, it isn’t by much. the controller cost $200 because of the competitive edge the controller gives players when in the right hands, not because of its durability. also fortnite is literally a controller killer for any xbox controller. the bumpers are the weakest buttons on both the standard and elite so naturally a game like fortnite that utilizes those buttons way too frequently is gonna damage your controller.

I had 2, both had the right bumper stop working because for the bumpers the decided to use a thin tab of plastic which would ware to fast for your average player. ITS ALWAYS THE RIGHT BUMPER. Been through 4 and the only issue has ever been the right bumper. Either double clicks or doesn’t respond consistently.

Elite controllers come with a 1 year limited warranty, assuming you buy it new. But ever elite controller has a warranty if you register it online.
