    Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even th-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

    What NVR's support recording such cameras at full 60fps, as well as specific plate search ? Or does this have to be done through the camera directly using the onboard SD card and Hikvisions IVMS 4200 ?

    • @kennydeals
      @kennydeals 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most all NVR's support 60 FPS. However, the only way you will get the plate search feature to work is through a Hikvision based NVR.

    • @QuaabQueb
      @QuaabQueb 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kennydeals Thank you for the prompt reply, generally is it better to run a stand alone Hikvision NVR (example DS7700 series) or build a dedicated Blue Iris machine?
      When running a few cameras at 60 even 30FPS does not not pull from the unit's "frame rate pool" taking away capacity for other cameras ?

    • @NellysSecurity
      @NellysSecurity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@QuaabQueb For a specialty camera like this one, you will definetely need the HIkvision NVR. If you are getting basic cameras, then you can choose between blue iris or Hikvision. Most NVR's do not have frame rate limitations, they do however have bit rate limitations but most newer ones are powerful enough where you dont have to worry about exceeding it. Frame Rate pools are more relevant on the Analog DVR's

    Clicked the link for the product page thinking $225-$250 and once the page loaded was like oh........ Guess I'll have to wait a few years until this model is old technology unless it gets copied and sold on Amazon first.
    Have about 3/4 dozen security cameras some of which I've ordered thru Nelly's and been hanging onto them telling myself I'll install them but even after 4-5 yrs they've been unused along with the ip nvr which I've yet to power up as well. Most of what I have to install is POE so when installedthe solid wired between will be good.
    For the time being I'll keep watching the prices and dreaming. Now it's fresh in my head I'll keep checking the website.

    • @dtnel
      @dtnel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do they make a cheaper one with a fixed distance maybe? That could help reduce the price.

    • @NellysSecurity
      @NellysSecurity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dtnel Hi Dale, Fixed lens and LPR camera usually doesnt go together. It can work yes, but the camera would have to be pretty close under most circumstances. With big variances of distances required in many different scenarios, the vari-focal lens will fit most scenarios. I think the costs more has to do with how much of a specialty camera it is. Namely the built in software that reads the license plate, converts it to text, and intelligently manages it to be used in certain actions and viewing. Not to mention the camera has built in electronics not found in most cameras such as 60 FPS video, Light Fighter technology which prevents headlight blindout, and configurable IR settings.

    Look. Talk is cheap. Show me all about the camera and how it sees a licence plate in zooming or edited in close-up. I have a Hikvision system (Version 4.0) and a 4K IP camera. When trying to digitally zoom towards the licence plate from a still video of a captured vehicle and, as I zoom close the digits in the zoomed licence plate become blurry and almost unreadable. You're showing us video from cameras specially positioned to make viewing of licence plates readable. But if I did that at home, where I live in a corner where speeding madmen lose control and slip off the road and ram into parked cars, then they flee, leaving the scene of the accident. And when police comes to inspect the footage they say the camera is too far offside the road and their plates are half obscured. They suggested I should install them on the gate post where it is a more straight view with the front or rear of the vehicle which the display of the plate is directly forward of the camera. And this is what I am looking for. So, talk is cheap in my opinion. You can see that the camera seen in this video has been installed at least almost in front of a vehicle. Install it on your home, pointing directly outside and straight on the road, see if you can see the licence plate or you will barely see the plate. If you still think you can clearly see a licence plate of a moving vehicle, then care to let me know the brand and type it is?

    • @NellysSecurity
      @NellysSecurity  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We no longer carry this camera unfortunately. It was discontinued over a year ago now.
      Digitally zooming will not allow you to get a clear image unfortunately. You will need a camera that has a varifocal lens and zoomed in on a set chokepoint.
      For Plate Recognition to properly work, these cameras have specific installation requirements as well.
      We do carry an LPR through a newer brand "UNV" -> www.nellyssecurity.com/unv-fullhd-1080p-at-60fps-anpr-license-plate-recognition-weatherproof-bullet-ip-security-camera-with-a-4-7-47mm-motorized-lens-hc121atts8cr-z.html
