How to get from Stansted Airport to Central London

Stansted Airport (STN) is located 35 miles (56km) to the north-east of central London. London Stansted is London's third international gateway and one of the fastest growing airports in Europe. It is home to many of the UK's low-cost airlines, serving mostly European and Mediterranean destinations.
Traveling by Train
Stansted Express is the quickest way into central London. There are up to four trains an hour with a journey time of 45-50 minutes to Liverpool Street station.

Coach Services
With all of the coach services, it is usually cheapest to buy your ticket online many weeks in advance. If you've not booked ahead ask the driver for the onboard fare.

Please be aware of that Liverpool Street Station is situated in eastern part of London. If you have booked a hotel in the Paddington, Bayswater or Marylebone area you Will have to take the tube or bus to get there. National Express coach takes you directly to this area and the time difference will be less significant. If you book coach via easybus it is cheaper and this coach is also operated by National Express, ie the same coach.

I might fly to Stansted next week if the weather is good. There are 10€ Ryanair roundtrip fares from my hometown DRS. Since I would only be on London for one and a half days though, I would probably opt for the train and pay a little extra to get maximum time.
Since the airfare is so cheap (as it is Rayanair), it makes sense to splurge a bit to make the most of the time you have there. Happy travels.

Hi Montash Both trains go from Stansted Airport to London Liverpool station. National express is a bit cheaper but takes longer 1 hour and 13 minutes. The Stansted Express takes a little over 47 minutes. Hope this helps have a great journey.

I will have only one day and a half in London after a month holidays in Europe, the tickets were convenient there before I come back to my country. I’ve never been in the city and just now I realized that has so many airports and my flight is going to Stansted 😢

My flights says I will be there at 12:00 am with Ryanair. Should I take the Stansted express or the bus ? (P.s. I don't think ryanair will be on time there ) how much does the Stansted express train ticket costs if I buy it from there ? ?
I would count on the bus. The last train is at 12:30 am. The cost for the train is 17 pounds to Liverpool Street Station

Do not try to use Oyster or contactless on the Stansted Express . Buy a ticket.

Stansted has to be the worst airport on the planet. Easily is in my experience. Offers the least amount of service for the most money they can extract from you. The level of neglect is close to criminal. Look what happened when the bus caught fire. Chaos. Anything worse and they would have been responsible for deaths. This airport is so bad it makes me angry.
