    How to get from Victoria london to liverpool street to catch this train to STN?

    • @AlteranAnciote
      @AlteranAnciote 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The best option here is to take the Victoria line to Tottenham Hale - this is much quicker, more direct and actually cheaper than trying to change at Liverpool Street.

    It usually doesn't go via Stratford. This was a diversion because of maintenance work, which meant the journey was slightly longer than usual

    I will be needing to go Stanstead to Heathrow (will overnight in a hotle near heathrow for my flight the next day). What trains should i use?

      for stansted, your only options for trains are stansted express from liverpool street or crosscountry's regional services which goes somewhere on the midlands. for heathrow, the heathrow express is nice but expensive at £25/adult single, elizabeth line is cheaper at £5.50/adult single, but it has aircon, a lot of space, decent comfort (but not as good as express) and takes you to more destinations, and some people say that the elizabeth line is better than heathrow express (but i disagree tbh). finally, the cheap but not recommended piccadilly lone at £3-4/adult single (i forgot the exact price) has no aircon, not much space for luggage, and often crowded, but it does take you to popular tourist destinations like covent garden, but its really slow. overall, elizabeth line is the best for heathrow

    You should get a railcard. I went on the Stansted Express yesterday and it cost me £16 return.

      Innit back then they had to divert trains via Stratford Lea Bridge line as there was usual weekend engineering works between Bethnal green hackney downs mainline route so yeah bit of a difference there

    Hello! If you book the ticket online where do you scan it? Do you havw to print it?

    • @thisis_mudchute
      @thisis_mudchute 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      get the qr code ready on your phone, and you'll notice a little box-like thing on the barrier with a little sticker that says 'e-tickets' on it, scan it there. this is not the same place as where you would scan an oyster or contactless card (please note: PAYG oyster and contactless not valid on stansted express)

    Other UK Airport Express Trains as of now should replace their old trains for new ones
    Seeing Greater Anglia class 745 for Stansted Express is too beautiful and very stunning.

      @legitibitmaster3264 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah it’s hella quicker on the 10 car 720s when they r sometimes on the route tho rarely mainly rush hour mornings depends if most of the 745s r faulty or away for repair maintenance

    Other videos on TH-cam discuss how the gates at Liverpool Street allow you thru for travel to the intermittent stops like Tottenham Hale using contactless but there is no way to tap out at Stansted and you will likely get a hefty penalty charge for not having a TICKET. Plus there are big queues to leave the Stansted Airport station while they make checks and collect penalties. There are strong suggestions that the railway makes a fat profit from this rather than from installing the tap-out facilities that would make it easier for the travellers. I'm not asserting that myself naturally. 🙄
