The Rizzuto's really can't catch a break. Nicolo the granson and grandfather getting wacked, The Hells Angels, defectors, Gregg Wooley's assassination and now this. Ever Since Vito got busted they've been screwed.

That’s right don’t think the hells angels are gonna do anything bud, there was a meeting a couple months ago and the Ontario hells angels made it clear to Montreal that they will not back a war with the rizzutos for a couple reasons the first being the gambling books used to be shared with the rizzutos and hells from Toronto, second reason is the Montreal chapter ain’t giving any money to the brothers down here, and third reason the big circle triad would demolish them here and in Vancouver

The reason He was released is the Jordan statute that limits the time defendants have from time of arrest / accusations to trial. They dont want to compromise the investigations so they will accuse him when the investigation is over.

You would think a guy who owns multiple businesses would stay clear of the most heat score business, drugs. That's even more so when you're affiliated with organized crime leaders. Nobody who's affiliated with people at that level and selling huge quantities of drugs can escape being caught. Just never makes sense for millionaires to engage in such activities when they've already made the kind of money necessary to turn their personal empire legit.
You don't just walk away from high profile dealing with out questions being asked. You know a lot and it just don't work like that. Your in it til you fall. They know going in.

Yes, and they haven't been found guilty of anything yet. Most people will try to delay the the trial date. Innocent until proven guilty. Wow 30 kg plus $2M = bye bye if convicted

Canada is a great place to be a cocaine smuggler you can get caught smuggling 500 kilos and only get three years in jail. I wish I knew these laws 30 years ago because I would have move to Canada for sure.

IDK what Canadian law is, but if you get caught with 3 dozen kilos in the states,they would send you on a one-way trip to federal prison.
Catch and release
Depending on what his record is, if he's convicted for the first time with 36 kilos he'll probably get between 8-15 years especially if his affiliations are taken in to consideration. He'd have to serve a third of that then he'd be eligible to be released on parole. Now let's say he gets caught again with similar weight he's getting 20 years or better. Definitely not as ruthless as the States where like you said they're putting you in a federal prison for life even if it's your first time being caught.
In Canada he'll get about 10 years and will do about 3 years max!
Less if the cops mess up the warrents and he gets 0 time as happened in Toronto few years ago.

What they do is they PTA u.That means promise to appear.They give you a court date and then when they bring other charges they.Re Summoned you then then they add all the new charges on.
