Good job.I allready did a similar modification with my smart charger. But I used a 0-10A meter. So it's shows overflow over 10A but worsk fine. I don't ad usb charging mudule and an auxiliary PSU for it, so for to supply the meter I used the 5V auxiliary power rail of the smart charger.
I put a separate power supply because it was necessary for the USB ports and I decided to connect the energy meter to it as well🙂

Haha this looks very scifi man! Good to know the measurements inside are up to spec. You can remove the 20VTeam sticker where you drilled through the two USB ports. Looks a bit cleaner that way.

This new charger does not generate voltage until a battery is connected to it, so I decided to put a 24V 1.5A Power supply in it to power the USB modules and the meter itself.
What did I do to measure?
I just ran the power cables through a power meter and that's it.

Mann kann nicht einfach, den ladestroom erhähen, ohne den kommunikations port mit dem akku zu nutzen.
Das im akku eingebaute bms, ist nur aktiv, wenn es beim laden angesprochen wird.
ganz davon abgesehen, das der herstzeller einen guten grund hat, warum er die akku's mit seinen geräten, nicht mit mehr leistung aufläd !
Was faselst Du da? Kann es sein, dass du überhaupt nicht verstanden hast, warum es geht? Hint: das Display ist ein reines Anzeigeinstrument. Sowohl Anzeige- als auch USB-Ports werden durch ein separates Netzteil gespeist. Also wo genau hast Du hier ein Problem?

ich habe das beruflich gelernt, und da ich fast alle geräte von parkside habe, und auch sehr viele akku's von dieser art, habe ich mich auch tiefer beschäftigt, ob man "einfach" das ganze schneller laden könnte, oder die akku's ohne großen aufwand, für andere geräte, als stromversorgung verwenden kann...
das ergebniss war leider, nein, das geht nicht so einfach.
wenn der akku schneller geladen wird, als das bms darin es vorsieht, und auch beim einfach strom rein schieben, der info ausgang vom bms nicht beachtet wird,
entschuldigung, dann ist das fahrlässig.
I don't know if you watched the video completely, but I didn't cut the communication cable and everything is connected at the factory and the current only goes through one shunt to show the current and to see the actual battery voltage. Everything else is powered by a second power supply and I think Parkside have seen this video too so I'm expecting a display charger soon

Ich mach das zwar nicht beruflich, hab aber auch einen entsprechenden Hintergrund (Dipl.-Ing- ET). Wie Du auch an ErCan Everything's Antwort erkennen kannst: hier wird überhaupt nicht in irgendeine Kommunikation eingegriffen. Also: was faselst Du? Hast Du meine obigen Ausführungen überhaupt gelesen/verstanden?
@@matthiaszeise9916 du hast dir also die kommunikation zwichen dem akku und verschiedenen geräten, und ladegerät mal mit dem osziloskop, bzw. signal logger / multi channel voltmeter angeschaut ? beim laden und entladen ?
entschuldigung, ich habe mir das angeschaut, und anhand dessen also der lade/balancer kurve, für mich entschieden, das der akku zu einer bombe wird, wenn man den mit zu viel strom aufläd, das ist ein li-ion akku, keine lfp zelle.
Diese akku's haben keine eigene abschaltung, keinen transistor, sondern nur einen shunt der notfalls auch als sicherung dienen soll.
wenn es so einfach ist, jeden akku von denen, mit mehr strom, schneller zu laden, warum machen sie das nicht ? bzw. bieten sie nur eine schnelladung für akku's an mit einer digitalen daten/kommunikations leitung, und nicht für akku's mit einer status-level leitung. ?
ich habe das gelernt, aber diese ergebnisse kann jeder mit messausrüstung, und mal die akku's aufschrauben nachvollziehen.
