Just bought this as my first electric guitar, wish me luck
I've had mine since 2018, and I have no regrets. Has very little to no neck dive, and I love the sound and how the neck feels in my hand. I love that guitar so much.
How it going now?
Went to Guitar Center last week to try out some guitars and decide which one would become my very first guitar ever. After a good bit of TH-cam research, I honestly thought I'd be walking out with a $200 Squier Sonic Strat. But this beauty was on sale for only $150, and I just loved the way it felt and sounded. I couldn't agree more about how nice the neck feels, I liked it more than every other guitar I picked up (including some that were 4x the price). I absolutely LOVE the satin finish personally, I had heard some TH-cam guitar reviewers describe it as "feeling like paper" but I feel like that's a terrible comparison, it's so much smoother and nicer than that. Finally, the SG body shape is just something cool and different... the classic Strat shape is iconic, but I feel it's just so common and is overly imitated by almost every other guitar brand in existence.
I can still only play 5 chords, but I'm loving my SG so far!
