Slapped, slaps, will always slap... Max Payne | Part 4

We finally know the truth.
We are back in Punchinello’s manor. Actually a really nice place, with pillars inside and gold-framed paintings. Great living spaces, and a fully stocked wine cellar…but it’s littered with mobsters.
Which is no drawback for us. We kick some ass and make our way to The Don. Where he folds like a deuce before a royal flush.
He blathers on about not having a choice in what he’s done, that he couldn’t refuse, that SHE is someone high up.
Before we can get anything more out of him, three goons in suits come in and whack The Don.
We take these men out and try to leave, but we’re stopped by at least eight more of them, all aiming rifles at our face.
A woman among them, a mystery witch, is the SHE. Holding an uzi in her hands, she mentions getting to kill two birds with one stone.
She injects us with enough Valkyr to overdose a bear and we go down feeling the green fire eat our brains.
The nightmare is stronger than before, coming to the realization that we’re a video game character with weapon mechanics floating above our head.
But we make it out alive, waking up in a puddle of our own puke. We remember the last thing SHE said, “Take me to Cold Steel.”
She gave us our only clue, and we head to Cold Steel Foundry, just outside of the city. The half-abandoned industrial area is a perfect front for any illegal activity.
We infiltrate the foundry and make our way deep down into the belly of the beast. Eventually, we enter a secret area, an old army bunker under the steel mill.
Where they were conducting Project Valhalla-a research objective to create a chemical substance to enhance the stamina and morale of infantry and troops. A project that was ultimately cancelled.
But SHE, Nicole Horne, was adamant about continuing trials and is now the head of Aesir Corporation, and in this bunker they are mass creating loads of Valkyr.
Since we’ve infiltrated, they consider the location breached and start a self-destruct process to destroy any evidence; Operation Dead Eyes. Which we escape just in the nick of time.
We learn that the Valhalla test subjects were the ones who murdered our loved ones.
We soon get a call from Alfred Woden, while dealing with our corrupt police friend from the beginning, B.B….Alfred explains he knows the name of our enemy and requests that we meet with him and the “others” at the Asgard building.
We head over, after killing B.B., and learn the truth. We meet Alfred and the Inner Circle. We learn that they were involved with the early stages of Project Valhalla during the Gulf War.
We learn about Nicole and her insatiable determination for Valkyr. The Inner Circle wants to blow the whole scandal wide open but their hands are tied.
Alfred requests that we kill Nicole, and if we do so, they would wipe our slate clean. No charges. A free man.
Cue the suits with guns. They kill everyone in the room and we make our escape by diving through the one-story window into the snow…
