@@BamaGunsOutdoors should hit a good lick I think me having too much cam is what’s hurting mine When I turn the 2step down to say 2400rpm it hooks great but from 3000-5500rpm my truck had no power with the big cam
Wouldn't it be better for the weight transfer to have left the lowered spindles in and install the stock 2.2 front springs? I would think they(stock or even aftermarket coil spring) will pop the frent end a little and shift some of the weight to the drive wheels. Also, the front bumper is a 98+ right? Do you have turn signals behind the phatean grill?
@@Ls_swap211 Everything I have learned is that shorter coil springs, and shorter shocks will change the geometry and travel of the front suspension. The spindle is just the spindle moved 2 inches higher, essentially just moving the hub assembly up, really has nothing to do with the suspension at all. I have had 2" spindles on 5 different vehicles and kept the stock springs, and shocks with no issues. With shorter shocks and springs and alot of traction you will be able to pull the wheels when you launch at least😛
@@scottvanessendelft408 I agree with ya but that hasn’t worked for me so far when I bought my caltracs Calvert said I had to have 7” of front travel before the caltracs will work I had 5” with spindles 7” with out em They def do something for the geometry because I couldn’t even drive the truck when I swapped the spindles back to stock Alignment way off and pulling right now
@@Ls_swap211 huh, well I never had caltracks, best I had was "slapper" bars. Alright then if its working for then thats good. Its a bad-a$$ machine! My 95 still has the 2.2 in it. I have owned 9, this is the only one with the 2.2. I rebuilt it in 2017, and the T5. Worked for both of my sons, they moved on so now it's mine. Collecting parts now for the LS swap.
@@scottvanessendelft408 leaf springs to me work weird lol You gotta transfer weight but they gotta separate and push the truck instead of equating and going but yet they need to squat to transfer weight 🤷♂️
