I'd like to know more about the double din stereo with the rear camera and digital cluster. Looking to upgrade and I'm tired of fixing the pesky odometer backlight. I've fixed it 4 times and even added the heatsink kit. If you could provide more details that would be great. Awesome video!

@@gregcooper359 the dash is Dakota Digital VHX. There’s an upgraded version now (RTX) that has a few more bells and whistles. It’s not plug and play, but the tach, speedo and any other data seen by the ECU on an OBD2 car can be displayed by using a CANBUS module that hooks into the obd2 port. This made it convenient for my LS swap since the ecu sees oil temp, trans temp, volts, tach, speedo, water temp etc.. so I didn’t need to hard wire any of that in, just plug into the obd2. Still have to hard wire power, turn signal indicators, high beam indicator etc… (most can be done by tying into the factory dash harness) . If you have a 94/5 without obd2 you will likely have to use all of dakotas senders/sensors for Speedo, tach , water temp, volts etc….
Double din setup is made by The DetailSS (the detailss.com). Best kit on the market for double din IMO and I’ve installed both of the top ones out there.
Backup cam I’m running where the key lock used to be in the impala deer logo. I relocated the key lock cylinder / mechanism to the bottom side of the trunk out of sight but could still get the key up in there if I need to if the key fob quits working for any reason. Cam I’m using is a cub-1 by Cruz. Fits perfectly in the hole left behind by the key lock cylinder in the leaping deer logo

@nocturnalcustoms376 Thank you for the details. I plan to do an LS swap someday. This is great to hear. Thank you very much.
