I rode these frequently as a kid in a Chicago suburb. We'd take these to get into the city to see the museums and buildings or head to a Cubs game or Christmas market. Tons of memories. Sad to see them like this.

P.S. the music and the sound of the train riding the rails and its whistle blowing in the distance was an excellent decision.
Thank you, UFO Bob. The hike to the trains really isn't very far. It might be about 1/2 mile if my memory serves me right. There is a long hike you can take to the famous bridge, but the cars are fairly close to where you park. I appreciate you watching and commenting. It is a worthwhile hike.
Bi-level coaches if the ORIGINAL CHICAGO AND NORTH-WESTERN RR "400" with both interstate and commuter trains, like the Original "400" route to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Also the Northern Division along 2 routes to Green Bay and used for Packer football excursions, on the Lakeshore route by Sheboygan and Manitowoc, and also the Valley Route in West Bend and Oshkosh. Graffiti is a curse, but the paint is saving the cars, but the graffiti can be sandblasted, and restored with CNW Yellow and Green, and re-used for both commuters and excursions, with 100% Authentic E.M.D. F7A Diesels!, that are now FOR SALE on the Internet. Also now in 2022 with high priced gasoline at $5.00 per gallon, we need many more Passenger Trains, but beside Amtrak, and rebuild many miles of tracks that were abandoned and ripped off in the 1980s for nature trails that was the most stupid idea in the past 200 years of u.s.a. transportation history!!!!! Now in July 3, 2022 WE, and ALL OF U.S., MUST REBUILD THESE VITAL TRACKS THAT HAVE CONNECTED THE U.S.A. TOGETHER, and Truly created The United American States!!!!! GOD BLESS THE U. S.A.!!!!! I agree. It is a shame to see these cars rotting away in the sun and being vandalized. They are truly pretty cool cars. I think they are much more interesting than more modern cars. It is like automobiles. They newer they are the less of a personality they have. It would be great to see these restored and in there original state. Loved, loved this video! Could you tell us a little more info. Where it's located, is it hard to get there? I too have been looking for things to do places to go where you can be away from people yet have a great experience and great pictures
Thank you for watching. You take the 8 East out of San Diego to the Carrizo Gorge Exit. When you get off the highway you will make a right and then another immediate right onto a dirt road that will take you back parallel to the highway. You follow this and it will cross under highway 8. Once you cross under the highway you will see the railroad to your left. Find a spot to park and just walk up the railroad tracks. The first set of trains if not very far (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile tops). If you go early you can walk all the way to the Goat Canyon Tressle. Google it and check it out.
@@AbelPalacios-i5s Yeah it is still there. Corrizo Gorge exit of the 8 East heading from San Diego toward Arizon. You take a right when you get off and follow the dirt road that winds back and goes under the freeway.
It really is. It is even sadder when you see the vandalism and destruction that takes place. It is a lot of hiking and work to get out to some of these location just to spray paint graffiti on them.
