I like the lift system. Kept saying to myself “there’s gotta be a better way”. Thank you for this information! You have my subscription, looking forward to more.

I own the exact same camper. Had it for 15 years and traveled many miles with it. Also have a bumper pull but this is still my favorite no doubt. Headed to Alaska late spring next year. Great video.

    There are videos from
Manufacturers about reversing the fan to suck the sides in. Seen quite a few on TH-cam. Super cool

I felt smart for thinking of it 😂 guess I should’ve read the manual

Do you know the manufacturer of your step mount? I have the same steps but I have to put in pins that don't fit well and i think your mounting system would wok muck better for me.

My steps are Hijacker brand the mount came with it but it is the older style I’m not sure if it’s built the same now.

Got a couple questions, my dad picked up a 1980's truck camper and the 2 interior lights are not turning on as well as the outside light that is by the handle it has a little button you can push next to it, we checked the bulbs, I checked all the fuses, I can hear a buzzing sound when it's plugged in and on 110 and both outlets work, I'm stumped. Second question how do we hook the exterior lights up to our truck I see a small round plug that's hanging for the lights but I don't think I've ever seen it before, maybe I just need an adapter? Thanks and nice video.

Yeah reversing the fan to help in lowering the top is what a loy of Pop Top Camper manufactures recommend that you do

I love seeing someone that has the same set up I have. I even have that same scissor stairs. Did you get the extender kit to widen the stable lift, or did you fabricate it yourself? I did it myself, then realized they make a kit for that.

Ya that was a factory option for me it’s a solid plate that’s about 12” wide. But I did install the kit my self I live in Kentucky so driving there wasn’t an option. People more times than not ask me about it and everyone I see that has a truck bed camper I let them know what it is!!!

@@icanthavenicethings5995 Same here. I usually have a a bunch of lookers whenever I unload my camper. Then I have to explain how it works. I'm surprised how few people know about it.

I'm looking for the same set up.
Is that a Classic Silverado 2500HD you have? Do you have airbags?
What is the year and floor length of your Sunlite Eagle WT SB? Do you need a hitch extension to tow the boat?
    Thanks in advance

The truck is a short bed 6.0 gas engine and It’s running factory springs in the rear. The camper is a 98 in not sure how big it is and yes I do have a 22 inch hitch extension although I have pulled without it several times it’s just tricky when taking tight corners in campgrounds.

Those legs and the frame under the truck would get ripped off driving off road where I go ....ok to use on a perfect paved road with no bumps , holes , etc. I guess but not in my world ....Ha!!

@@TouchofDepth Im just now finishing up my ski season up in the Tahoe area in my truck and camper . And getting ready for fishing 🎣 season . Lots of fire road cruising to get to lakes , streams , rivers here in mountains ...still alot of snow too in some places I go . So this truck camper stabilizer not a good system for me . It would also collect mud and snow under my truck ..... If I have to and usually don't I can just take mine off the original way lower camper to the ground with camper jacks and it doesn't go any where It's Solid and stable .Ok my 2 cent comment again .....Happy trails 😁⛷️ 🎣🏄

I certainly cannot see how having only four inches of ground clearance could ever be a possible advantage. That certainly looks daft to me. You'd never be able to crest even a modestly paved hill around here. This must be a strictly Flatlander product placement commercial. That thing couldn't even make it out to my closest asphalt let alone survive our local interstate. No one could drive anywhere with that thing strapped to the bottom of their truck.

I see why you’d think that as I did at first but it really doesn’t bottom out often maybe twice in 50000 miles. This thing is not meant for off-road use obviously but it can easily be driven anywhere any normal vehicle can go and not think twice. I live in the hills of Kentucky we don’t have what you would call nice roads 😂
