    If you used a pull cord (one row of another color after your cast on waste yarn), you could just pull it out and the waste yarn would fall off! It would save you all of that grief! The scarf is beautiful!

    Made this today for my pa-in-law…came out very well. Thank you for the instructions 🥹☺️ when I finished the scarf, it had tight folds (due to tension, perhaps) which is however totally gone after steam ironing! Adding some moisture (steam) loosens the yarn.

    Nice job, Candice! I'm new to machine knitting - waiting for my gift to myself to arrive any day now - but am a lonnnnnng time traditional knitter. Thanks for this idea for a project that looks like you spent a huge number of hours when in reality, it didn't take long at all! I I'd like to share your TH-cam link for this project when I make some posts about my new KM adventures and would like your permission to do so.

    Thanks a lot for the tutorial! I was wondering if the drop stitch and braid method would also work on flat panels. Doing that not at the very end but a few stitches before may have the same effect? You'd lose the last few stitches as "seam allowance", though.

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes, that is worth trying for sure. I haven't tried it on a flat panel yet. Let me know how it turns out if you try it :)

      @@wildwillowcreationsca will do, thank you. :)

    • @TexasTwins
      @TexasTwins 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES Indeed!! This works on panels, too, with one modification. I have done this braiding technique on knitted panels, but you need to drop the LAST 2 stitches (columns), or 3 depending on the thickness of your yarn. Then braid picking up the “turn around” yarn strands in groups of 3 or 4 at a time, or whatever number achieves the braid you like. Sort of like braid-joining the edges of hairpin lace strips. The braiding will show on BOTH sides of the finished product. 😃👍🏻👍🏻

    I USE THAT METHOD FOR ALL MY afghans but it is much easier to use a rug hook.

    do you put the machine in T or P position before you start? I have a sentro

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello so you would put it on the "circular knitting" option so I believe it is "T" for tube on sentro.

    Have you tred the drop stitch pattern for a scarf, the tutorial is here on TH-cam.

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I have. This scarf has dropped stitches to crotchet the pieces together.

  • @sandrahankins8488
    @sandrahankins8488 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you use one skein per panel for the scarf?

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello so I used one Red Heart #4, Cream Fleck, 340g, 12oz, 593m / 649yd for 2 panels.

    Why do a few rows of waste yarn….ive seen this done a few times but also seen many times without using waste yarn…what’s the advantage

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like to use waste yarn because it is easier to finish and the edges are neater in my opinion.

  • @susankupiec5875

    How many rows?

    • @wildwillowcreationsca
      @wildwillowcreationsca  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, so I did 7 rows of waste yarn then 245 rows for the scarf (but you but you can make it longer if you like)

    • @PreetiKrishnanLyndem
      @PreetiKrishnanLyndem 11 หลายเดือนก่อน
