For Vivian, there was a theory that she intentionally didn’t tell Mario about the Moon base because she wanted Mario to herself. While she may not have known the full extent of the shadow queen’s power, she should have known about the teleportation device from the sewers to the X-Naut base (even if she didn’t necessarily know it was on the moon), and probably should have told Mario right away after they left Twilight Town.
In defense of Vivian. As far as I know was she the youngest Sister and not even recockinzed by the Shadow Queen. Maybe, she was not even aware of the Shadow Sirens true plan (I am not sure if there was evidence she must have known). About the teleport, I am not sure if they simply teleport if summoned, I mean they are basicaly shadow demons. (I do not remeber her response to the teleport, to judge her innocent right know but want this to be considered)
Eh personally I think Kersti's sacrifice was cheap on the part of the writers. The game otherwise had almost no story and all of a sudden they play the sad music and try to pull off a heroic sacrifice during the expected/10 Giant Bowser phase. I know they were trying to follow up the sacrifice from the previous game, which was built up to by one of the greatest stories in the series. Which, why? You didn't put a shred of effort into following the previous games up in any meaningful way but suddenly you're throwing in a heroic sacrifice to try and play to the same emotion in SPM's ending? The next 2 games at least handled it a lot better even if Tippi's will always be the best IMO. Sorry I just really hate Sticker Star and to a lesser extent Kersti for being such an empty follow-up to my favorite Mario story ever.
SPOILERS FOR 100% ENDING FOR THE ORIGAMI KING Also, Kersti was runner-up for most good. Olivia was FIFTH, was more helpful [use stickers vs. MIMICING BASICALLY A GOD], and DID NOT come back with her sacrifice. [Back to life at least.]
Another point for Vivian: she is the one partner that Mario had in Chapter 4 that didn’t unknowingly betray him for Doopliss in Chapter 4 and fought along side him against Doopliss for Mario to get his friends and identity back
Umm People didn't like Kersti's attitude during the whole game so i'm sure maybe kersti would swap with Olivia or Huey since their attitudes were more kind throuougth the games they were in (sorry for being biased but I like a certain someone a lot)

Tippi This would make more sense since: Huey is higher than Kersti for the same level of sacrifice but Huey being less of a jerk than Kersti. Bobby is higher than Huey for sacrificing his life to save Olivia to help them stop King Olly. Olivia is higher than Bobby for also sacrificing herself but doing far more to stop King Olly, and also constantly trying to get Olly to come to his senses. Tippi is higher than Olivia because while Olivia may have saved the world with her sacrifice, Tippi gave herself up to save the entire multiverse.
I would personally swap Olivia and Kersti because Kersti because the main reason she was so high was for a sacrifice Olivia also made. While still a hero, I thing she should be lower because as a hero, she is just like Olivia with a little less goodness. Olivia is even scene trying to reason with Olly while Kersti is more hostile.
I really feel Lakilester should be higher. Just like you said, he didn’t really have a commitment and just worked for Huff N. Puff. He doesn’t need almost any convincing to leave him. Even just asking for his reason of changing names is enough. After destroying the Puff Puff machine, he says “helping others feels so… good!” Implying he just hasn’t had a chance to help others aside from Lakilulu. Also, similarly to Koops, Lakilulu tried to stop him, but he wanted to be strong for her. He doesn’t correct Peach for saying Lakilester at the party, showing he knows how to be a good guest. He shows no fear facing Huff N. Puff after seeing he betrayed him. Also, similarly to Vivian, he left after Huff N. Puff annoyed him by making him pick pointless fights. He didn’t mean any bad, he was just with the wrong crowd. He still may be a little low, but at least he’s better than Bow and _maybe_ Ms. Mowz.

The most controversial placement is probably Kersti. For most of the game, she's very short tempered (quick to judgement), and never really lets up, until the obligatory sacrifice. Basically an extra abrasive, less helpful Starlow. Not sure if that makes her a bad person, but she is poorly written (unlike everyone else). Huey and Olivia are much more moral throughout the game.
As someone who never played a Paper Mario game at all, Thousand-Year Door is The Paper Mario game I want to play the most. Unfortunately, considering Nintendo straight up refuses to let recent Paper Mario games to go back to their traditional RPG roots, I don't think it will be remastered anytime soon.
Bobbery went through a lot of tragedy, and he still remembers his wife Scarlette, she was a loving wife, her demise truly hit the admiral hard... But his taste for adventure, I'd love to explore and go on treasure hunting across the seven seas as part of his crew, it would be a thrill! Vivian... she is something, she is cute, for a former antagonist, caring, heartful, pure and capable of loving others despite being a Shadow Siren, a creature of the shadows. She also has some taste in fashion, so I guess I see her as an adorable partner to have in anyone's life.

He is royal to Henry and friend to Ellie even though he is a goofball and would make mistakes, and would accidentally kill henry but he doesn't do them on purpose and in the valiant hero route he sacrifice himself to save Henry and telling Henry to not worry for him before he died, it shows he is a royal friend and a great hero to the end However when Henry betrays the government we don't see him get angry unlike galeforce and sorta goes with the flow (I think)
@@JC_720 But he's constantly, throughout different fails and endings, committed mass murder on not just the Toppats, but on the Government, as well. For instance, Charles HAS, in this fail, not only neglected to tell Henry what his plan was, but ended up killing Galeforce and Rupert inside the helicopter, all because of something silly, reckless, and even selfish. Now, regarding the Toppat Clan, government and police forces typically just have to arrest criminals and ONLY kill them if they're direct lethal threats out of self defense. Charles didn't exactly follow that policy in VH and PP. I'm not saying I hate Charles, or any garbage like that (I quite love him XD), but, in a realistic point of view, even he's not the perfect innocent angel everyone sees him as. You just need to look at a different angle. Now, if anyone deserves to be the nicest character in the series, it's Dave Panpa.

I know I'm late watching this video (lol) but i think we can ALL agree that bobby definitely had the most impact and i bet you nearly everyone who played the game cried a little (or a lot) after bobby sacrificed himself. definitely the most memorable paper Mario character.
I personally think that Huey, Olivia, and Bobby should’ve been above Kersti. Sure, they all made sacrifices, but Huey and Bobby both gave their lives and Olivia did that and more. Those three did way more than Kersti. Also, like you said, Kersti was a real jerk, and didn’t have Bobby’s sweetness, Olivia’s compassion, or Huey’s charm. I think that Bobby should’ve gotten #3, Huey in #4, and Olivia in #2. Tippi still on top!
Bombette can be able to come back after an explosion just like that, but Bobby ended up dying, becoming resurrected, and having all his memories taken away when he returns at Bowser’s Castle. Goombella may rank a little lower because of her crush on Mario, which causes her to get jealous of other women who lay their lips on the man. I personally like Vivian, and I also feel that Madame Flurry has an interesting figure, especially when compared to all the other Flurry’s in the Mario series.
Keretsi literally insults you for not taking out any of the bosses the easy way. I know the ending redeems that, but it's a reason I don't consider her as high as she got. But Tippi gets the top hands down for sure.
I know this is a pretty common complaint but IMO Olivia and Bobby deserve to be higher than Kersti. Don't get me wrong, Kersti is very heroic, but she's also pretty nasty... while Olivia and Bobby are both absolute sweethearts.
Thank you for making Tippi The Most good character. She's clearly is the main character of Super Paper Mario than a partner, while Mario is a side character on another adventure.

The most controversial placement is probably Kersti. For most of the game, she's very short tempered (quick to judgement), and never really lets up, until the obligatory sacrifice. Basically an extra abrasive, less helpful Starlow. Not sure if that makes her a bad person, but she is poorly written (unlike everyone else). Huey and Olivia are much more moral throughout the game.

As someone who never played a Paper Mario game at all, Thousand-Year Door is The Paper Mario game I want to play the most.
Unfortunately, considering Nintendo straight up refuses to let recent Paper Mario games to go back to their traditional RPG roots, I don't think it will be remastered anytime soon.

Bobbery went through a lot of tragedy, and he still remembers his wife Scarlette, she was a loving wife, her demise truly hit the admiral hard... But his taste for adventure, I'd love to explore and go on treasure hunting across the seven seas as part of his crew, it would be a thrill!
Vivian... she is something, she is cute, for a former antagonist, caring, heartful, pure and capable of loving others despite being a Shadow Siren, a creature of the shadows. She also has some taste in fashion, so I guess I see her as an adorable partner to have in anyone's life.

Honestly no, the reason Kamek and Bowser Jr are at the bottom is because they have a history of opposing Mario in the PM series.
@@checkmyaboutpage Okay fine Kamek should be lower then Lady Bow but Bowser Jr shouldn't because he was just helping his dad (who likely wasn't in his right mind but I really don't know) meanwhile Lady Bow kidnapped a Star Spirit to pretty much blackmail Mario into helping her stop something that was her fault. I will admit his 3D self is worse but not in Paper Mario.

The only thing that bothers me about the thousand year door is that the shadow sirens knew about the plan to free the Shadow Queen and betray the X Nauts all along, so shouldn't Vivian have known this plan all along and inform Mario about the entire plan when she officially joined his party?

He is royal to Henry and friend to Ellie even though he is a goofball and would make mistakes, and would accidentally kill henry but he doesn't do them on purpose and in the valiant hero route he sacrifice himself to save Henry and telling Henry to not worry for him before he died, it shows he is a royal friend and a great hero to the end
However when Henry betrays the government we don't see him get angry unlike galeforce and sorta goes with the flow (I think)
@@JC_720 But he's constantly, throughout different fails and endings, committed mass murder on not just the Toppats, but on the Government, as well.
For instance, Charles HAS, in this fail, not only neglected to tell Henry what his plan was, but ended up killing Galeforce and Rupert inside the helicopter, all because of something silly, reckless, and even selfish.
Now, regarding the Toppat Clan, government and police forces typically just have to arrest criminals and ONLY kill them if they're direct lethal threats out of self defense. Charles didn't exactly follow that policy in VH and PP.
I'm not saying I hate Charles, or any garbage like that (I quite love him XD), but, in a realistic point of view, even he's not the perfect innocent angel everyone sees him as. You just need to look at a different angle.
Now, if anyone deserves to be the nicest character in the series, it's Dave Panpa.

I know I'm late watching this video (lol) but i think we can ALL agree that bobby definitely had the most impact and i bet you nearly everyone who played the game cried a little (or a lot) after bobby sacrificed himself. definitely the most memorable paper Mario character.

I personally think that Huey, Olivia, and Bobby should’ve been above Kersti. Sure, they all made sacrifices, but Huey and Bobby both gave their lives and Olivia did that and more. Those three did way more than Kersti. Also, like you said, Kersti was a real jerk, and didn’t have Bobby’s sweetness, Olivia’s compassion, or Huey’s charm. I think that Bobby should’ve gotten #3, Huey in #4, and Olivia in #2. Tippi still on top!
Bombette can be able to come back after an explosion just like that, but Bobby ended up dying, becoming resurrected, and having all his memories taken away when he returns at Bowser’s Castle. Goombella may rank a little lower because of her crush on Mario, which causes her to get jealous of other women who lay their lips on the man. I personally like Vivian, and I also feel that Madame Flurry has an interesting figure, especially when compared to all the other Flurry’s in the Mario series.
Keretsi literally insults you for not taking out any of the bosses the easy way. I know the ending redeems that, but it's a reason I don't consider her as high as she got. But Tippi gets the top hands down for sure.
I know this is a pretty common complaint but IMO Olivia and Bobby deserve to be higher than Kersti. Don't get me wrong, Kersti is very heroic, but she's also pretty nasty... while Olivia and Bobby are both absolute sweethearts.
Thank you for making Tippi The Most good character. She's clearly is the main character of Super Paper Mario than a partner, while Mario is a side character on another adventure.
