Just went general grocery shopping with the lady of the house. I live in Maine. Well I didn't take good care of myself then I had some issues in my life which exasperated the problem. The situation is what it is and I deal the best I can.

I think I have to interior illumination package on my insight with the arm rest door lights and lights under the dash. Is there any way to change the brightness, color, or change them to leds
I believe the brightness can be changed via the slider control on the left of the steering wheel which also changes the brightness of your dash lights. The color is only white and they are already LEDs. You can try changing colors by coloring over the LEDs with different colored pens or better yet disconnect them and get an aftermarket lighting system instead.
If you look in the area where you pulled out the key you'll see like a block of plastic on the top part and a block of plastic on the bottom part. You put the key between the two blocks and turn the key which will push against them and cause the whole thing to crack open.
