Fabulous collection Tiffany, so your the one snapping up Nik's journals before I can get one ha ha ha ha I love all your journals they are really beautiful. thanks for the shoutout girl really appreciate it. 😘 have a fantastic weekend.
Thank you dear and oh my, am I??? I hope she could make more of this journal then all of us can snap more from her haha! You are amazing sweet girl, I hope the lady from my last video contacted you?
LOVE your videos....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you sharing your junk journals...I finally finished my very first one for my best friend...it was so much fun I can't wait to make more for my friends...thank you for being such a wonderful inspiration!!! xo
Ohhh thank you lady!! Did you post a video about how you make the journal or what does it look like? I would love to see your first one dear! I mean I have no shame to show my first try lol
tiffy butter I did take a picture of it and I will post it I don't do TH-cam videos I'm too shy maybe someday but I'll definitely find a way to post a picture of it. my best friend loved it so I'm now making more for my other Mom friends and maybe the word will get out and maybe more people will want to see them but you are my inspiration.. thank you so much for always showing us what you're creating. xo
I wish You could too because journals are one of the best things, you actually don't need to write in it everyday, that is not what I am doing anyway lol Just follow the flow ;) write something, or draw something when you feel comfortable
maybe you could cut near the signatures in the front and the back, then glue down anything that is loose along the edges in the cover, then tie the signatures in with fabric strips or elastic sort of like a travelers notebook
I forgot you had the "Linger" Carperbagger journal from Nik. It's so beautiful. I really wish I had ordered a custom journal from her before she stopped taking custom order. It's nearly impossible to get one of her journals now because they go as soon as she puts them up in her shop. All your journals are gorgeous. Thanks for showing them to us. :D
Aww Thank you. I know... Her journals sold out in like 1 second...I wish you could pick up one on her next update. she updates her shop I believe as fast as she can, almost like every week you have a chance to grab one! So, sending good luck to you my dear ;)
Thanks. I really want one of the new journals she has been making with any ephemera. Because I have my own. But I'm want a buish grayish or teal colored cover with a certain design and yeah....lol. I'm being picky. One of these days I will get one. :)
The fabric cover from Nik the Booksmith is called a "Carpetbagger" journal and is made from tapestry fabric, she explained it in multiple videos :) the Indian fabric I believe is used by Amity Bloom, she creates bohemian style journals 😊
Thank you for your explanation ;) I know they are call ""Carpetbagger" but I just couldn't pronounce it properly like I said in my video ;( I wish my English is better...I tried to practice before I filmed this video but just hard for me so I decided not to say it out loud lol I can't tell tapestry fabric from Indian fabric, mine is pretty thick though, like the one that we will use for outdoor. Aren't her bohemian journals beautiful??!
tiffy butter Don't worry too much about your pronunciation, your English is perfect and you don't have to feel pressure about it. And Yes, I love the work of Nik and Amity bloom. 😊
Dont know if anyone cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last few months xD
Your first journal's inspired by Nik the Book smith! Mine was inspired by Johanna Clough! It almost looks as though the spine inside is tight that's why you can't lay it flat, why don't you cut the spine(inner layer only) like your gutting a book (back & front) and put washi or something to clean edges?
It is amazing that there are so many talented ladies in this community ;) We all get inspiration everyday! Haha I believe the reason that I can't lay it flat is because I did not cut the spine( outer one), if I only cut the inner layer, the washi won't hold it for too long since I will need a gap on the binding when I open it up or close it. The washi is not "strong" enough to hold it tight. And that gap I think I only can cut it on the outer spine.
I really like your journaling style, haha! Also, about the journal that you don't like... maybe reuse the paper and fabric? So you don't have to journal in it but you can still use the stuff that you like...
they are all lovely!
Lovely collection! Thank you for sharing :)
