What a wonderful performance!! It went so well... It was a shame that dearest Dame Joan Sutherland, who I love, was upset with our Portugal... But it was understandable , it was the eve of the great revolution which made the dicatorial regime of the time to fall to the ground , and Dame Joan was stuck in Lisbon for a while... and I think it had repercussions on her schedule! However... WONDERFUL as always 🤗
I gather she got stranded but Bonynge took advantage of a queue jump to get away. She was left with a ton of stuff he had bought at the airport. Rather funny.
