There is so much more I wish I could have included in this video, but I just wanted to start the conversation on this topic. What have you learned in your experience with church hurt? What Bible verses or passages have encouraged you? I would love to hear your thoughts!
Romans 8:1 “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Matthew 6:14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you.” Forgiveness is so important It frees you it heals you 😊❤
When I surrendered my life to Jesus, 45 year a ago I knew nothing about forgiveness and I thought I would do it only if I felt like doing it.. Well then one day I felt trapped in a net of being separated from the Lord..For many days I cried unto God, the only words I heard from Him were that ' Unless you forgive your enemy the Father in heaven will not forgive you' Then I understood that to forgive is a command and not a feelings, well when I eventually did it, it was like an evil mantle had fallen from me. Thank you Lord for teaching me that lessons, never again I have allowed satan to trap me in the net of forgiveness. Thank you sister, the Lord bless you❤.
I can relate to this ive been blocked and ghosted by "christian" girls who had bible versus on their pages and talked about God and how much they loved them but when it came to me sending them prayers or telling them that they're beautiful i get blocked or ignored though i do forgice and still love these girls i do keep my distance and its hard to find a community that will welcome me or wont have any people that have connections with these people as well since i dont think anyone who hangs put with these people are any better.
If you’re not a girl then they are just being cautious We are supposed to see each other as brothers and sisters and not judge or lust don’t go looking for another type of relationship seek God relationship with God is Most Important only He completes us satisfies us makes us whole 😊

As far as my experience goes, it was about my parents-in-laws who are Christians as well. I asked God's help for doing so. He literally guided my steps. One day, God commanded me to do one thing, which will show my act of forgiveness. I did not want to do it at first but obeyed Him since it was God's command. Then healing began. It is not something you can do on your own. You should do it with God. You need to ask God's help and guidance when you forgive somebody. Then God protects you and guides you. God gives you wisdom.

I think the biggest takeaway is because there are no perfect people, and we are all sinners, therefore the church is filled with imperfect people and some of them may end up hurting you. That's why it's always best to go to the Word of God to read the Bible for yourself and develop a real relationship with God, and not let your relationship with God be predicated on your relationship with people and how they represent Him on any given day. To be able to read the entire Bible for yourself is such a blessing and will help you grow so much as a child of God.

I’ve been hurt by the church many times,including my family. I’m the youngest in a preacher’s family,my father has and is still serving the church for over 40 years. My childhood was damaged severely because of church hurt. And this church hurt targeted me and my brother because we were homeschooled. For 8 years..sadly this didn’t stop there. Other things were attacked over the years..I’m 31 years old now,still healing,and the only thing that I fear is running into any of those people that hurt us. I still forgive them though..every single person. 🤧
Too bad you father is serving the church rather than serving the Lord. I'm very suspicious of preachers, because the expert should be on tap, not on top. I don't readily trust pastors.

I’m very sorry you feel that way,it’s true there are pastors that act poorly and it gives people a bad impression of pastors in general. But my father is not one of those people. He speaks plainly and I can promise you he truly means what he says. 🤍
I really relate to the part where you point yoour finger at God, saying why are you not good enough. If these are the people that you want me part of, I wont know part of it. But also knowing God's message for you afterwards.
Oh yes, I know. Thankfully, God is so good and never intends for us to be hurt by anyone. The enemy loves to twist the truth and make us blame God for things that He didn't do. God only wants the best for us! And speaking of which, there are still MANY wonderful people in the church, who will love you, support you, and reconcile with you according to God's Word.

If you want community if you want friends talk to God about it ask God about it but always remember relationship with Him is Most Important
