not having the Olympic dunk here is criminal
That dunk was murder caught a body a 7’ one
That’s what I’m saying
It's like we're all getting nuts to the face
My guess is that the Olympics owns the rights to that content and is either expensive or inaccessible to show on this channel.
It’s copyrighted footage that’s why the NBA never shows it either
Vince was not only a highflyer, he was an absolute offensive juggernaut back then.
With perfect jumpshot
Cool, but he quit and b!tched his way out of Toronto. When you pout and average 16 PPG then average 28 as soon as you’re traded you don’t deserve anything. Luckily he never won a chip. He doesn’t deserve any of his clout.
@Eskimohow another casuals go watched the documentary about him and you will find out what the Toronto Raptor Organization did to him thats why those things happened media turned him to a villain but in reality the raptors org sucks and doesnt want to give/ build a team around him. 🤷🏻♂️
@@sw.badshotstfu with that casual bs. I’ve been to 200plus games and am looking to get season tickets for next season. Whatever happened is still not an excuse to disrespect the game and not play to the best of your abilities.
@@EskimohowThere is a boss and an employee. The fact that you never considered the boss messed up is the problem.
Best dunker in NBA history right there
I hear y'all saying this but did you see Dominique in his prime?
@@beaujac311yes he’s not a better dunker than Vince
@@Kameron-sb3cbExactly
Dominique Wilkins and Dr j were pretty amazing dunkers also.
@@beaujac311yes and even he will say Vince is dunk king
Vince has the best windmills of all time, its not even close. He never bent his arm, always full extension and the rotation always started on takeoff. Cleanest by far.
Vince was the best, but gotta give some respect to Nique. His windmills were pretty awesome too.
@mar21182 massive respect to Nique, The Human Highlight Film. They're 1 and 1A, both were unbelievable aerial performers.
Gerald Green and Russell Westbrook got some pretty windmills as well.
I read once that the only dunk he ever planned to do was his famoul windmill dunk against the bucks (99/00), which in my opinion is still the most perfect windmill dunk ever done in a game.
Nique had the best windmill…. Come on now
Vince when you hit that game winner for us in Dallas my homie and I were watching and I ran straight out the door about a 100 yards screaming!
Love you Vince!
All for nothing
The thing about vince carter that still impress me is even though he was mostly known as a GOAT dunker and rim finisher, he managed to adapt his game and be a really good role player beyond his prime.
Very good shooter as well through most of his career.
THIS
It seemed like he always found a way to get points on the board
Why would that impress you? He was an all around player
every time i ever see vince talk about his prime highlights he always adds to it with a subtle flex 🤣🔥 ngga be like " the crazy thing is i didnt even know i could do that and i broke my finger the day before"
Hahahahahaha
The human humbleflex
I usually just go for a layup on the other side but this time my head was already at the rim and i thought hey why not
Yea.. like huh!?!? lol 😂
Lmaooo im surprised no one talks about it. I noticed it in an interview he did for a podcast. He knows how to glaze himself in a way that makes you think he isnt glazing himself.
That dunk on Alonzo is STILL underrated. Never seen another dunk like that one at all again. Bodies colliding mid-air and the dunker doesn't even move an inch and slams it down.
He bodied him so many times. Most of his posters are on Alonzo 😅
Baron Davis on AK47 was the same or maybe harder cuz he was a PG and kirlinko was a great defender
Funny thing about that game was Richard Jefferson dunked on him first, Vince dunked on him afterwards but did it better 😂
I was thinking about that dunk the other day & ended up falling to my knees crying.
If Above the Rim was a person.
It's a movie that doesn't have vc in it though lol
…it would be Tommy Shepherd
The GOAT dunker til this day…..this segment could have easily been an hour long deal
Vince made me a basketball fan as a young kid, so exciting to watch during his Raptors days
Me as well after going to a game seeing him play ▶️ he's the man
Same here
Same here, Kobe eventually became my favourite but Vince made me fall in love with the game
vince and Iverson got me into basketball
I feel you bro ❤
"Since we are here...." my goodness!
Lol
I wasnt the biggest fan of basketball living in New Brunswick, Canada . Moved to Toronto got free tickets to Raps game . Went with open mind saw vince do a 360 alyoop slam from Tracy I was a fan ever since ❤ VC hes the man period !!!! Thank U Mr Carter your special!!!!! And now look at how many Canadians in the league that are great 👍! Thanks to Vince 100000000%
Hello, my name is Noah and I just wanted to spread the word to you by saying Jesus and God love you very much it says in Revelation 21:3 “Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them.” God is there for you and he sent his one and only son to die on the cross for everyone. If you choose not to believe thats on you. I hope you soak this in. God bless!
As a Mavs fan, Ive rarely had favorite players that I follwed who played for other teams but all 3 of them eventually played for the Mavs which was crazy cool. Nick Van Excel, Vince Carter and now Kyrie Irving.
Nick Van Exel...wow. You've been around the block like myself 😂
😁😁I still love the “dunk of death” during 2000 Olympic the most
I wonder why they didn't show that one??
@@jgee9898they don't want to disrespect other nation
That’s solely why I have him as the greatest dunker because no one pulled off a dunk like that in a game let alone the Olympics .
@@jgee9898might start a war
A LEGEND we must PROTECT at all cost... The Great Vince Carter..
1:16 He’s actually a year off on this! That no look was a year AFTER his 2000 NBC debut 51 points, but hey after you play so many games, I can see where it could run together.
Fuckin LOVE Vince Carter man. And I'm so glad you were able to get this interview/reaction. He doesn't get his flowers enough. He was one of the players in basketball history that doesn't get enough shine. And he was good at all facets of the game. His finishing was outshined because he revolutionized finishing, but every other aspect of the game was either good or great. I think if he was on better teams, he probably would be considered in the GOAT conversation. But because of him, his teams were always some sort of threat. I'd put him on AI level.
Most underrated superstar ever.
You mean overrated lmaoo
Nah 10:49 10:51 @@francisxm3
Bro has the fountain of youth
Damn he is very articulate. Strong body strong mind.
That North Carolina education system
Should be a lock in for major networks, no podcast or YT for him
Vince always been that dude.
The thing many people don't realize (or tend to forget) is that the vast majority of pro players attended college. They're not just some random dude with crazy hops, or has got nothing to offer to the table beyond being super athletic.
I'm guilty of that myself. I happened to listen to a podcast & heard Kings PG DeAaron Fox speak for the first time. I was blown away by how articulate & intelligent he sounded.
I wanted to hear about that Mullen Pacers dunk, - that jack knife reverse. There has to be a part 2! Most exciting player of all time. Didn’t realize how much thought he put into fan enjoyment.
Damn, Vince actually seem like a really good and funny guy👍🔥 proper legend of the game..
Vince is phenomenal tallent, mixed with pure class. Even in his last seasons, whatever few min. he got he was playing like a six man.
yo, vince still looks like his rookie year. thats crazy, his face is very identical to his face back when he won the 2000 slamdunk champion. and up to this day, his windmill 360 dunk is still insane. the form, the art, the flight.
Best dunker to ever step on an NBA arena
Half man Half Amazing
🔥🔥forgot all about that reverse 360 layup. I tried for like a week straight to make that in pickup lol Failed over and over before getting it to go! Silently One of the toughest top 5 layups anyone has made in regulation.
Crazy that he just jumped and figured it out. My personal favorite player ever. Love you Vc
absolutely me as well ❤ VC made basketball in Canada
The landing after that 360 windmill is amazing mashAllah! This was the best vc interview ever
Vince by far best dunker of all-time & it’s not even close. At UNC he was all hops, Antwan was more skilled all-around. But VC developed into the better NBA player by putting in the work on his jumper. As soon as he got a consistent jumper he was hard to stop. Dude was severely underrated playing in Toronto all those years in a small market.
Air Canada salute! 🫡
He would have been the greatest volleyball player to ever live. You see some of those guys that have half of his athletic ability doing some pretty cool things. He does stuff just as cool with a bigger ball and a rim that’s 10 ft as opposed to 8. Pretty amazing.
loved watching vince when he was on the nets when i was a kid. he always put on a show for the fans
Vince don’t age
His body did for basketball but he looks great!
He still looks healthy enough to come get some buckets off the bench for a team
I remember him at our high school. He played for our city. Awesome dude.
Vince brought that showmanship and clutch moments to NBA, one of my favorites of all time.
Legend underrated player...the Great VC half man half amazing 🏀
Talented, funny, AND intelligent!! It's always fun watching VC talk about dunks!
I don’t think the younger generation has an idea how incredibly popular VC was, he was the leading vote getter for all star for like 6 years in a row
Thank you VC, you were fully amazing to watch!
He said damn well we here 😭😭😭
The reaction to the honey dip dunk always makes me laugh. It’s just pure confusion like “what did we just see??” - Jason Kidd is so confused he’s LAUGHING
Fantastic commentary by Vince. Where can we get more of him talking about basketball???
Watching Vince Carter play motivated so many basketball fans to hit the courts.
damn he's such a nice, fun and down to earth guy
Vince is the reason why basketball became must watch TV after Jordan retired with the Bulls. There is a reason he was the number 1 Allstar vote getter for 5 straight years from 2000-04. No man was more electrifying, more athletic, more explosive than VC15 in the early 2000's. Countless ridiculous dunks, acrobatic layups, numerous clutch shots and buzzer beaters, was an offensive juggernaut and was underrated on defense. Thank you VC for all the great memories. They better retire your number in Toronto. No one is worthy of wearing it except for Carter himself. RETIRE 15!
Vince has been underrated so far by history. Maybe because he played so long. People forget how great he truly was in his prime because he grew into a smaller role as he got older.
Asked Vince about Rasheed Wallace brother giving him the idea to do the Honey Dip dunk, when u get a chance
Best NBA era after Jordan... Carter, T-Mac, Garnet, Kobe, Shaq, Iverson, Mutombo, Yaoh, Kidd, and much more!
Much luv for VC. this was a treat!
I loved HOF VC as a dunker it was also impressive to see him as a spot up shooter. Thanks for the memories.
Vince Carter always be my big fan since day ☝🏾🔥!
"So, I don't know if you have something against Alonza Mourning..." LMAO
It's over, ladies and gentlemen! It's over!
The Olympic “dunk of death” is still the most diabolical dunk I’ve ever seen.
Vince Carter One of My All Time Favorite Players
Vinsanity.
I've never seen an NBA player or any human being make otherworldly dunks look so seamless.
Wow I really enjoyed it
Vince like all the greats is fantastic with details
Watching him early on was just incredible. You thought more and more guys would just start doing things like him in games but it still hasn't happened to this day. Incredible ps that Chris Mullin one for style 👌👌
Vince Carter forever my hero !!!
Vince is the best dunker ever overall. And Jason Richardson is the best dunk contest dunker of all time.
His dunks were revolutionary and had the most difficulty, plus he won it multiple times.
He did a off the backboard between the legs, which is the most difficult dunk ever performed.
Nah It’s Vince all the way! If Jason went against Vince would had killed him. Jason is a two foot dunker. Jason can’t dunk jumping off one foot. Vince can do both. Jumping off one and two feet for a dunk. Plus dunking with the light and right. (Jason probably can do the same I don’t know further because I didn’t study that part about him. I just know he can’t dunk off of one foot)
Vince's most underrated and overlooked highlight is his 360's, backline layup against new york. He was like a twister under the rim, Idk why people always overlook that. Way more better than his vs Lakers 360 imo.
I would even rank his 360 baseline layup vs toronto higher than the ones against the knicks and lakers. Why? Because he made a reverse layup while going reverse 360 at the same time. The degree of difficulty was extremely harder. Just my 2 cents.
TMAC: "I could jump, but Vince can fly."
Carter was the best when it comes to highlight reels. No one else can touch him ever.
I vote for the reverse dunk on Pacers..oh man I was so shocked back in the day as a high school student. Haven’t seen anyone doing reverse dunk like that🙆🙆🙆
its a shame the league didn't included him in the top 75...this guy was a hero for many kinds growing up and also had good numbers.
Carter is a top 30 player ever easily
Legend, absolute legend. Vince wasn't the best player ever or even of his era. But he was the most exciting player of all time, and he could make the crowd lose their minds like no one else. He wasn't just the best dunk contest winner ever. He was also the best in game dunker of all time.
The high flying athleticism was one thing, but what I remembered about his dunks was the power behind them. He was the embodiment of throwing it down.
Top 3 Athletic Shooting guards all time
1. Mike
2.Vince
3.Kobe
My Legendary Childhood GOAT Vince Carter AkA Half Man Half Aminzing AkA One of The Best Dunkers In NBA History Period
I miss watching Vince play. one of the coolest to watch, Not soul in the USA would watch a Raptor Game... Vince showed up and we were all "Let's Go Raptors!"
VC was my GOAT growing up
Them moves he put on Miami were lit as well
2:50 Shaq with the camera always kills me who else remember that Ben Simmons shooting 3s video😂😂😂😂???
He is HIM!!💯👍
Vince has to be top 5 most complete players of all time. Dude is also one of the best shooters in history
What makes that Mourning dunk even greater is the possession before that Richard Jefferson dunked on Zo. I remember watching that game live in my dorm room and Zo got dunked on back to back possessions
Vince is aging very well looks so fresh We all ❤ Ya Vincy
Vince Carter seems like he’s just a genuinely good dude
The Broadcast Boys are DOING IT!!! 🔥🤙🏾🙌🏾💜
Yessir Dawg
If Vince Carter only played harder and signed with good teams he would have won many MVPs and NBA titles. He is my favorite NBA player.
Facts
My favourite player growing up ! I was watching his highlights dunks all the time. Vinsanity was a special player !
He’s not reacting, he’s breaking down his thoughts of those highlight momentsss
You missed 2 dunks in New Jersey … two Jason kidd lobs … those were iconic
That was the most beautiful windmill dunk such an artist
He is the reason why all of my basketball jersey in school is #15. :)
The dunk on the Pacers was his best reverse (and the best reverse ever).
“ I jump in the air and then figure it out” This man is a legend.
Great video! I wanted to hear his commentary on the Olympic dunk.
The absolute DUNK GOAT
Thank you Vince, you’re the reason I Love basketball
"Have you ever asked Shaq about the footage in the cam recorder?"
"I did a couple of times and he said, "Don't worry about it" that means he doesn't have it"
Had me cracking up so bad
I want VInce to commentate nba games ngl
Articulate and well spoken. The beauty of sports and working out, he looks very good
When he blew past Chris Mullin baseline and dunked on Rik Smits against Indiana in 1999 is when his NBA star was born. Half man. Half amazing!!
One of the most talented dunkers to ever play in the NBA
So.. half the time he didn’t know what he was doing 😂
lmao 13:41 Lucas, "THE MACHINE!"
I watched Vince in H.S. and he used to jumper higher. I know that sounds insane but if you know you know. He was really a freak of nature athletically.
Agreed. Some of his dunks at UNC were to notch as well.
My fav all time . Raptors need to retire his number already, they should be embarrassed . Shout to the Nets . .. and he’s not just a dunker, he’s one of the best shooters ever too!!! Check all his game winners, check where he was when he retired on the 3point list. Check where he leads in 3 point game winners, check his reel of left handed shots. He can do everything! He was shooting from deep before it was a thing!
