Major Clutch Problems! 100s of miles from Home

- Hello guys, welcome back to the channel in this little episode which should’ve been a long tour. The Bike decides it needs a new clutch. We head out from Stafford to Moffat and have a brilliant night. There is plenty to do there and I would recommend it to anybody. It’s well worth the visit as you will see in the video it is a hotspot for motorcycles and some very nice routes. the GS 1200 is an absolute brilliant Bike. I’ve had a few problems with her but nothing that can’t be solved the guys at Superbike factory have been brilliant helping me on every issue I’ve had without any questions or delay to you guys. I will keep you updated on the next video about what happens with the bike but I am hoping to hit the road again and finish what I started hope you enjoy the video guys, and I’ll see you all soon.

I live 60 miles from Moffat and went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Roads and scenery are epic. At least you made home mate.
Yes it was a stressful ordeal but all was well in the end buddy and yes I love the roads around Moffat, I can’t wait to get back up there your lucky living so close 👍

Hi Baylatron, We met at Applecross after my CanAm broke down at the top of the Bealach - got it sorted and now been over the Bealach 6 times and will do it again before the years out! Glad you love Scotland and great to hear you use the correct pronunciation of Moffatt!!

Gutted for ya buddy, but at least you know it'll have a new clutch. I hope they don't dick you around with it.
That Black Bull looks pukka mate, some great roads around there.

Clutch replacement on an GS LC is pretty simple..Do not be discouraged
It’s under warranty buddy so I’ll leave them to it 👍
That's not a problem. That's maintenance just like new break pads. Easy job to do it yourself.
Maybe but it can cause big problems can’t it especially when your 270 miles from home 😂 it’s under warranty and being fixed now 👍
@@baylatron very true. I started last Monday on my three weeks journey from the Netherlands to Montenegro. No in slonevia. Today riding to croatia. I don't want any issues at all on this trip as you can imagine.

You must be a bit narked. Hopefully still in warranty. The shop you bought the bike from may have a huge choice but unfortunately a bad reputation. Once sorted the GS is a brilliant bike. Moffat is lovely but if you go again keep away from the curry house in the main street. Ducking awful. Try the Foresters arms on a tuesday at Yoxal. A relatively new bike night but nice boozer.
Yes a little annoying but it is under warranty and I’m glad it’s all happened now rather than later, it’s being sorted, I’ll upload a video with the report once I get it back.
The GS is an amazing bike and I don’t regret buying it but like you say once it’s sorted all will be good 👍
I will keep that in mind about the curry house and I’ll look into that bike night, thanks for your comment.
