He continues on saying “despair awaits you wear a mask, join her charade” which further makes me think that BF is trying to talk to Pico and not GF. That makes me wonder what the story of this world is. Is it an alternate universe where Pico and BF were dating and GF intervened or maybe it’s a continuation of the main game because BF says “won the battle, lost the war” which could be alluding to Pico and BF being ex’s. Overall I’m very curious as to where this’ll go.

So this is before the Silly Billy mod where GF leaves BF for pico, but they die in an accident so that leaves BF all alone which gives him the option to either go insane or keep *yourself* safe....
he goes insane n stuff until he finds the mirror which leads to the current Silly Billy mod since he knows how to talk, he sings the"MY WAYYYYY" part n stuff since original bf has never broke up with gf, and this also may be after the Tabi mod...

Okay, I’m not completely sure if this was intended or not, but I have a theory: through this song, bf slowly goes through the five stages of grief, dealing with losing gf to pico.
1. Denial (0:00-1:31): Firstly, from 0:00-0:36 we see bf alone, with camera focused on him. “What if it’s not true? What if it’s a lie? They can’t be that close, right?” Then at 0:36 gf and pico fade in. I feel like the first few notes the bf sings could be a loss for words. First he sings with gf, asking is it really true? Then talking to pico, or maybe pico steps in. It kinda feels like they go back and forth a lot, bf trying to get a word in while gf and pico are just done with him/gloating maybe. 1:22 he starts to finally come to terms with how things have become, and accept it as truth. I feel like this part where everything kind of clicks into place for him, and that brings us to;
2. Anger (1:31-2:24) Everything becomes much more difficult. The song becomes much more face paces, the notes are shaking around the screen to the beat, and everything is blurry (probably become he can’t see straight). He’s starting to question if anything was real in the first place, and voicing this out loud. 1:58 his mind goes blank, he can’t think straight, all he can think about is the image of them together and he can’t stand it. It then proceeds to switch from bf vs pico+gf to bf vs his inner demons lmao. 2:19 he blows his steam, starts to try to calm himself down and he starts to think more rationally. He begins to reason more with the duo, bringing us TOOO
3. Bargaining (2:24-3:37) song begins to slow down again, things become less blurry, and notes stop shaking. Bf, in a fit of rage managed to change his viewpoint in an instant, and now his main focus is on pico. Then the EPIC SINGING PART happens and you can tell hes talking to pico because of the pronouns. After seeing through gf, he seems to be begging pico to not trust her and “see through her mask”. He thought it was meant to be forever, and then found gf never cared at all; he is desperately trying to save pico from making the mistake that he had. Through this singing, bf begins to get more and more worked up again, and after the Japanese part (translating to “destroy it all now, destroy all”, thanks @CATCIRCLEOREO lmao), he begins to try and help much more desperately instead of reasonably. The blur is back, and the notes are shaky again. First gf sings, denying everything and bf going against it. Then at 3:19 pico has a long-ish solo, I like to think that pico’s also denying everything and thinking that bf is just a jealous loser.
4. Depression (3:37-3:58): this part was kind of harder to fit in, but I think it still fits it anyway. Everything it still blurry, shaky, and fast, but the battle kind of switches to feeling more like a song then an argument, unlike the previous part. He stops trying to argue with pico as much. I feel like he’s still trying to will him a little bit, but he already knows it’s not going to work. Bf is just pointlessly arguing and getting shit on at this point, and he knows it. Everything was just taken away from him, and it’s going to happen to another.
5. Acceptance (3:58-END): this is the shortest stage, but in my eyes the most interesting. It starts with a period of the screen going completely dark. I like to think that this is bf finally accepting everything; that gf is gone, that pico is gone, that gf might ruin picos life as well, and that bf is powerless in the matter. Everything has clicked into place for the second time. When the song finally continues, everything is fixed to back how it was at the beginning of the song. The notes are not shaking and the screen is completely unblurred. Bf has finally come to terms with how everything is. This is their last quick verse, their final goodbye. After this, however, bf still can’t find peace. He knows there is nothing he can do and that it’s the past now, but gf was his everything and now has nothing. Accepting that he has lost everything, the final scream and shattering of glass is him unaliveing himself.
Or maybe I’m just analyzing this song WAYY too much and I’m going crazy LOL I can’t believe I wrote a whole freakin essay this took way too long
