I was blessed to have my Great Grandmother around until her 100th birthday which was 2020. My three children got to see their Great Great Grandmother and enjoy her company for several years. Blessed

I too love the look and feel of Caron Simply soft. I remember when I first started crocheting, their color range and the shine was all the incentive I needed to deal with the splittiness which I never thought was that bad. Then I found Herrschner's worsted 8 and the softness of it won me over for acrylic. Now I only use Caron's for special projects that need that shine. I'm not typically a blanket maker, but right now I'm working on a blanket for my granddaughter who will be here September 18th, and Boggy Creek Blankets as well, I guess I am turning into a blanket person afterall. Keep on keepin on and love the project, it makes me happy so I'll keep doing it.

HI Michelle. I am also a pink girl, any shade works for me. I didn't get to wear it much as a kid, I had a red/brown hair, real red in the sun so pink clashed. As I aged my hair darkened and I didn't care, I love pink. I also would just like yarn and I love caron soft and silky, chenille and blanket yarn. Hope you have a great weekend.❤

I love listening to you, especially if I can get to you earlier in the day (to set my day off)! You make me laugh! It's been hot here in southern Minnesota too and quite humid. Not my favorite thing, for sure! My favorite yarn is any anti-pill acrylic, and I am loving ombre or gradient yarn. I make a lot of blankets and wearables for grandkids and I really appreciate washable and dryable yarn. I adore bright and purple yarns! I also love a good gray and some of the muted colors. I think I just like yarn! lolol! Blankets and wearables are my favorite things to make. I do NOT like making amigurumi items. I like them - if someone else makes them! 💜🌞

There is that dreaded written pattern I see, LOL! I think teaching myself to crochet before YT was available makes it most helpful if I need to write things down in a pattern formation. Learning to crochet with thread (making doilies)had a very specific way to write out the patterns back in the day(as they say). At least it has helped my future self to identify issues with patterns as they are done now as they don't seem to have the same "formula" or consistency. Thank you again for making me have a good start to my day 💜💜💜💜💜

As for pre-tech learning for crafts…I learned to knit and crochet without TH-cam, so I really understand what you’re saying! It has helped me to better grasp patterns that may not be well written. 👀
