  • Hey guys!
    I’m so excited to finally share my all-time favorite Asian recipe with you!
    Khao Poon!!
    This dish originated from Laos but has since then made its way to different nationalities.
    It’s a very popular dish in the Hmong culture.
    Please note that everyone makes this dish differently, this is my way of making it.
    Normally it has a strong sweet coconut flavor with a hint or curry, however, I’m not too big of a coconut fan. I use coconut milk to help thicken the broth.
    I really hope you give this recipe a try, it’s truly a delicious dish that you would want to try at least once.
    Thanks for watching!

    Delicious!
    With the bamboo. I boil it for 15 min with alil salt just to get that sourness out. That's just to prevent it from getting spoiled fast and avoiding the sour taste.

    You used 8 cans of red maesri paste? Good lord your soup must be super spicy!! I usually use 1 or 2 spoon of it only. I use more of the namya red curry paste. But i wonder how your soup tastes like. Never made it with ground pork before. Maybe next time I'll try it.

    • @MEplusEVERYTHING
      @MEplusEVERYTHING  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😅 to others yes it might be spicy but not for me. But it does get diluted with water and coconut milk too so it does balance out. I've made it with chicken before but I prefer ground pork because it had more flavor, but that's just me 😊 good luck if you give it a try! Thanks for watching!❤

    Hmoob people eat too much oily and salty food. That is one big factor of stroke and heart attack when turning 50. Hmoob people should think about the food they eat. We love meat and stuff, but we should prepare it differently so we can avoid poisoning our bodies.
