- Need a vacation? Come join me at our vintage off-grid cabin in northern Minnesota on Lake Superior. And unlike me, leave your mosquito head net and spray at home. See the chores that are needed to keep the place going. Built in 1972, and wood coming from a local sawmill, this cabin has a rich history and is visited all year around.

It's not for everyone! Leave your curling iron at home. Although, my wife found a solution to that, she bought a rechargeable one. Batteries these days have improved.

I was just getting comfortable, except for the mosquitos lol but other than that it was a very nice comfortable trip. Let's go again soon !! That place is amazing!
It is a special place. But not for everyone. One needs to like this type of vacation. What's really nice though it's very low maintenance. Drain the water and mow the flowers once a year. :)
