Terrifying realization that Cleo or Scott is going to permadie before the other, but that means that the other is still around to mourn the lost of their bond.
Honestly with how long they stayed alive in previous seasons, I think they won't die until near the end. Barring some crazy happening

@@Ren_TheWolf to be fair, in this quartet of soulmates Cleo was the only one not to make it to the final four, and they all lasted till the last session so you never know
Nah let’s be honest they’ll probably go out together, I’m 100% sure one of them would be happy to take martyn/Pearl out of the series if they died
Cleo and Scott are going to have to fight in the end if they both survive :( :( :( :(
I genuinely feel so sad for Pearl and Martin. Though at least Martin is trying to win Cleo back. I think this just became Pearl’s villain origin story.
pearl is so scary with her character, i feel like this will make her be such a maniac now
Ok.... I'm getting tired of everyone saying Pearl is some kind of monster or something. She didn't start the intentional damage to the soulmate game. Cleo and Scott did with the Ax attacks on each other. When Pearl responded in kind with a joking attitude, everyone acted like she was deranged. While I am aware that this is just for fun, it is devastating to see someone (Pearl) get hurt by everyone around them over and over, and then when they respond the same way, trauma response, everyone treats them as a monster. Grrrrr...

Ah, the Angst POV.
Seriously, though, Pearl should’ve gone after Martyn rather than Scott. Scott and Cleo had reasons to leave Pearl and Martyn, but Martyn should’ve stuck by Pearl after they ended up alone. He had no reason to abandon her, and yet he did. Now they’re both alone and Pearl is taking revenge on the wrong man.
Yeah, it's just like the keep joking in the series:
Basically, soulmates are an arranged marriage (took that from another coent on another video) and Martyn and Pearl bacially left before the wedding, but they are still linked to Scott and Cleo.
Scott and Cleo decide to be together instead because "Hey, we were both basically abandoned at the alter" and now Pearl is angry that Scott didn't just sit pretty and wait while she was out "cheating" and Martyn is fighting hard to get Cleo back, dispite her new relationship

it's so funny how it kind of carries over from season 2. pearl and scott were a team, and then cleo sort of joined and now pearl has been cut out of that trio. i love the direction she's taking her character :D i love unhinged pearl
oh this is such a good song choice! love how you did the new soulmate and damage scenes especially, it really made clear how much martyn and pearl's recklessness was hurting their soulmates :D

ps Real tears of laughter at the flip-frame Martyn reaction. It almost doesn't fit with the rest of the animatic style/tone wise? And yet and yet it's so perfect.
if like lore wise you can feel the pain the others in it makes sense that scott and cleo were mad at martyn and pearl cause random pains that you have no clue whats causing them are scary; and im kinda glad thats kinda what you showcased here

My favorite face in all of animatic history
Honestly, I mostly focused on Scott's perspective, and he and Cleo kept trying to find their soulmates and got irritated when they realized the only people they haven't met went straight to the dangerous zones without checking for their soulmates. I think Scott and Cleo were the true victims of lost soulmates and were so proud of them for forging their own destiny. I give mad props to Scott for sticking with his principles to the end, where he was able to sacrifice himself to kill a 5am unhinged Pearl. Very poetic death.

Double life became one of my favorite series of all of these guys, I haven't generally enjoyed a Minecraft series since old MCD and Shadowcraft, I'm glad people are finally doing animatics again of them

Both didn’t have much food and Scar kept taking damage.
They would’ve died very quickly.
Lucky enough Cleo and Scott both had food and were mostly precise in how much damage they were taking.
So were Martyn and Pearl but they took on very dangerous/risky trips which could’ve lead to death early on.
Both Pearl and Martyn got as lucky as Scott and Cleo got unlucky

I’m going to disagree on the basis that Pearl only followed Martyn into the nether because he needed backup or else he would’ve been killed. She didn’t actually want or need to go in by the looks of it, but followed to protect. Plus her and Martyn did the same thing as Cleo and Pearl in the beginning when they paired up and became each others temporary bonds. But then Martyn leaves Pearl and the other two are now “bonded”. Yes Pearl went into the nether, but Scot has purposely jumped off of the tower to injure Pearl as well. They are both being negative towards each other, but Scot is being bitter and destructive, and Pearl is desperate and destructive.
Cleo has every right to dislike Martyn though the man has no self awareness and drags people into situations to a lesser degree of scar. The bleeding heart house is still pretty funny lol.
@@wynterfir I have to argue though that even if Martyn needed back-up, Pearl was invited by Martyn and could've easily asked him to wait. She could've at least tried to say "shouldn't we find our soulmates first?" but that wasn't even a thought on her mind. Or at least she didn't voice it. She didn't argue, she just went along with despite having Scott's life in her hands as well. With some convincing, I'm sure Martyn would've just hosted Lost and Bound earlier and then the four of them would've made the trip or maybe two of them while the other two set up a base. Martyn is reckless but not unreasonable. Pearl didn't even argue, she just went along with it.
It's true that Scott and Pearl are becoming bitter and spiteful to each other, but even if they're taking intentional damage, they're doing it without the intention of actually killing each other, harming themselves in controlled environments (which is still dangerous but at least not as dangerous as storming into unknown territory). They're aware of the damage they're taking and are able to pull away from it to a certain extent and heal up. I won't say Scott is completely in the right but Pearl isn't really trying to apologise for what she did. I'm sure that they could work something out if she did and that Scott would apologise as well. Sure, he's bitter but he's also been a pretty peaceful player in previous gameplays unless provoked. Like people would go running in and out of their base, digging up their secret basement, stealing stuff and going through their chests and Scott was fairly civil about it.
They both have the capacity to reconcile and become better soulmates for each other but first I think Pearl ought to apologise and I'm sure Scott will apologise afterwards for the intentional damage. If I end up being wrong in the future, well I can't help wanting to give both of them a certain amount of benefit of the doubt.
lowkey pearls arc in double life hits a heart string. the series is super great so far, I am excited for the next session

I just LOVE the body language from start to finish.
Where the lifers had such limited physical expression and used almost entirely voiced expressions, you flip it around to silent pro (and an) tagonists using entirely bodily and facial communication...

Ok this was absolutely fantastic, especially in the amount of time you made this in! Also I'm not sure if it was intentional or not (probably not) but I love the way the the song almost perfectly matches and rymes because of "trouble" and "double". Great work :D

This is so good! 1:02, 2:09 and 2:20 onward are my favorite. The first is so detailed and displays such subtle emotion while the other two are so cartoonish with over the top emotions that capture the whole scene so well.

This is a random detail but I really like the way you design blazes!
I adore this style and I love the "Divorcee Quartet" content this series. It's great how they split up and then ended up as a 4-person alliance who realized they're actually stronger apart from their soulmates, so to protect each other they pair off with cleo&scott, pearl&Martyn when they have to separate. And Pearl who ended up alone is the one whose base is their main hiding spot too. I can't wait to see if you do any other animatics with them! I haven't seen any of them all taking Jimmy hostage yet but that was so funny

I’ve rewatched this a couple of times and it’s so incredible! I love it so much, you captured what was going on so well! It really does help show Cleo and Scott in a justified light for leaving their soul bound.

This is beautiful. Now everyone saying Pearl is some kinds monster it wasn't international but I dont blame Scott either. I was watching Scott's POV of this & it fits so well, this was so beautifully animated, good work! I loved the way how in last life Scott won for Pearl then died for her...so sweet, just shows how good friends they are, great work in this enigmatic, keep it up :)

I feel that would've been fun to put in. XD
I've become a big Scott viewer since 3rd life, and I love the story they have set up. It's also just a fun break in the norm so others (like Grian and BigB) can play around with it a lot too without getting backlash for breaking the niche of this season.
