Love the view down the Lairg Ghru at 14.10 and the climb back up to the Chalamain Gap is a real sting in the tail after a long day. Great stuff Linda. Cheers.

Hi Linda, Superb day, you can't beat a blue sky day in the Cairngorms. We're hoping to get back before the snow arrives. Cheers, Charlie.

So that's what it looks like up there, I have seen it before, but only 50 feet at a time as it was completely clagged in. Nice video yet again.

Thanks Russell, it would be a whole different ballgame in poor visibility! That plateau is vast. Good excuse for you to go back. I’d do Braeriach again, great path. 👍

Love your videos, Linda, you always have a genuine sunny and joyous outlook that really comes across. Wish I could pronounce the Scottish names the way you can as well - my pronunciation is shameful! 😂
Looked like a marvelous day - it's an area of Scotland I've seen very little of, which I badly need to remedy. Cheers Linda, all the very best, Dan 🤠

Thanks so much Dan. Fantastic to get such positive feedback. I don’t always get it right with the Gaelic names either. 😂 The Cairngorms is a beautiful area whether you’re high up or in the forests. Definitely worth a visit! 👍

Visibility as expansive as that is very rare and it gives a good idea of the scale of the central Cairngorms and the fantastic fingerprints of the last ice age. I'd like to do a traverse of the munros on the west side of the Lairig Ghru with an overnight stop at the bothy.
When I look at the map, starting from the Sugarbowl car park looks easier than it is I think because although you are over 500m asl when you start, there are a couple of stages where the path descends (I know it has to drop to get across the Lairig Ghru). I'm wondering if starting from Whitewell is not much more effort. It is longer and a lower starting point but you are at least continuously ascending.

Thanks for watching Adam. I can’t comment on the route from Whitewell (never walked it) but I didn’t find the descent & reascent into & out of the Lairig too bad. It was much worse on the return with tired legs. 👍
