Which was because the family, to my knowledge, weren't really landowners unlike the others. Despising it on principle was more common among the founders; most simply recognized that abolition at that stage would be politically impossible and also disastrous; history shows us how correct they were, seeing how Lincoln became the only president to ever destroy the United States and didn't even get anywhere close to emancipating the black people in the end.
Hence the founders chose a slower path, hoping to integrate the black population through several generations. Even just as a quick consideration: it meant taking the black people's housing and provisioning away from them, and worse so, from a people who had been selected for their quality as slaves and had never learned other ways.
Any moral decision - unless claimed to be divine morality, which is a whole other topic - can only be viewed from the circumstances under which it was made. 21st century snowflakes judging it from their own perspective, are combining folly, ignorance and arrogance to say shit to make them feel good about themselves.

It is such nonsense to say that kneeling for the anthem is not disrespect towards the military. You are refusing to show honor or even respect to a symbol that people have suffered and died for. Just because you say no disrespect is intended doesn't make it true. It is a blatant use of shock value to push some political motive. The flag and national anthem are not just symbols used by police, they represent all Americans. If I said I wanted to protest high taxes by rubbing dog shit on a statue of MLK, but I don't mean any offense, would that be an acceptable form of protest?

1. Not prostration for standing for the flag, that's a pretty damn broad brush you're painting with there. Customs for the national anthem isn't exactly cult like behavior, more tradition really.

If it was all about Hilary sucking so much, then how come Trump was the nominee in the first place?
The real answer is the typical GOP politician always appears weak under pressure. Trump's "never give in" approach actually works, and would work even better if someone other than Trump used it, just that no Republicans did.
Lets take Ted Cruz for example. He had one major chance to step up and prove he was a leader. That was 2016 Donald Trump Chicago rally protest. A group of left wing thugs, probably paid for by Soros and the Dems, assaulted and attacked Trump supporters.
What was Cruz's response? To blame Trump and his supporters. It was a fatal political move, and proved Cruz did not have the leadership ability to stand up to the left when violence was employed.
What Cruz should have said was: "I dislike Trump, don't care for him at all, but what I witnessed tonight was a left wing inspired riot, paid for by Soros and Co. No matter what I think of Trump, he and his supporters did not deserve this and I will defend patriotic Americans at all times against leftist thuggery".
Instead Cruz bailed. People will never be attracted to weakness, especially in times of violence and fear. Hopefully some of the members of GOP will figure this out, instead of lecturing Trump and his supporters. Politics is about securing the loyalty of a strong base of supporters. Trump has to his credit secured his 30%-35% of the country. What have the Never Trumpers got...5-15%? They can throw a wine tasting party!

Here's the thing with Trump, he might have (though I'm still skeptical) a 34% overall polling figure, but with his base he's on fire! While "his base," isn't the entire conservative gambit, it's important not to give too much credence to polls where his approval is being dragged down by nearly everyone on the Left who would NEVER approve/vote for him anyways. What I'd like to see is current polling information of both just conservatives and conservatives / independents. I know it sucks to be this divisive, but that's the political climate we live in, and after this level of coordinated and sustained character assassination by the Leftist media, he's never going to win voters from that side.
I, for one, was a democrat, until the Trump campaign, I voted Trump and I would do it a thousand times over, he's outstanding and I really don't understand how ben is so blind to our president's moves and enemies. He may be a great debater but as far as awareness, he's lost in many cases.

Mini-Rant: I tried the palette test on Winc.com and I'm a bit annoyed with one of the questions. They ask how do you like your coffee. I love coffee but One of the possible answers is "Black", and One is "With Cream and or Sugar". Really? No middle ground? I take my coffee with cream or milk but I would rather drink Sulphuric Acid than drink coffee with sugar in it. Why do they have to lump in those two things together? Cream and Milk make it more refreshing and cool, sugar just makes it taste like sharp acidic fire. BOO!

No, the previous election was NOT only about how unpopular Hillary is. It was about two things: 1) an awakening to and the rejection of, corruption in the federal government (which Hillary just happens to personify), and 2) the restatement of and confirmation for, US Nationalism (which Trump was personifying in a pretty big way with his MAGA rhetoric).
Both of those two issues go very very deep with a multitude of both simple and complex reasons why they were the focal point of so many US voters! The good news is that as long as we have the internet these aren't going away anytime soon. It's time to clean out the cesspit and restore our national pride (for ALL Americans of ALL colors).
