Every day after the Shacharit prayer I pray for this man and his family. I consider it an honor. God's hand is upon him for a very special purpose. This talk confirms my thoughts about him. He has something of the spirit of Elijah.

he wouldnt win because the right wouldn't elect a jew to the position, he would have to run independent or dare say democrat so not get outed in the prelims for "inexperience" or some such bullshit. once you get that through your head all of Ben's fans can live in a less confused to "why he wouldn't even try" world. Cause if your smart you know America IS racist, but what they are even more so is religiously close minded.

No, he would still have an issue, but it would be the right attacking him instead of the left. Total hypocrisy of course. I'd like to hear Ben's take on it if the coach was Muslim. I wonder if he'd have the same view. To be consistent, you have to either be for it in all cases, or against it in all cases.

    • @hancalrissian7865
      @hancalrissian7865 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

A S more immature? No. He couldn't have destroyed our economy, while apologizing for America's existence, funding ISIS, Iran & North Korea, treating illegal immigrants better than Veterans, pushed healthcare coverage on everyone except himself and the other members of the political elite class and shouted loud that ours was a fully recovered economy even though for the first time ever the US didn't reach 3% growth (GDP) in any of Obama's eight years, our credit rating dropped from AAA status to AA and while our REAL unemployment numbers reached beyond 25% at times, he lied to us only reporting numbers that made him look good...
President Obama did all of this to thunderous applause because he's a smooth talker whom the mainstream media worshipped allowing him to do whatever he wanted without ever being questioned.
So Obama definitely acts more mature than President Trump, but at least we know President Trump loves America.

I just went to my sons HS football game last night and it was parents night. We live in Wisconsin in a town outside of Waukesha Country. It was a sight to behold when after the game, over 100 young men in their purple uniforms formed a huge circle at the 50 yard line and all knelt to one knee. They had formed a PRAYER CIRCLE and sat in silence for a few minutes and prayed. It was beautiful and NOONE was offended!

I worked a few years in public education. I was exposed to a large number of parents who don't take responsibility for their children's actions. Parents who could care less what their child's grades are and who use schools as nothing more than a babysitter and a free lunch for their children. Another thing that does not get enough press is the pressure on teachers to pass these kids regardless of their performance. What a message our schools send to children. The government sucks at raising kids. People who haven't seen the inside are in for a rude awakening in the next 10 years.

To the guy asking if he should visit a synagogue: get in touch with one in your area and ask how you can best engage with them.
I went with a friend to both an orthodox and reformed synagogue in the Houston area and we were warmly welcomed at both. People from both congregations seemed more than happy to answer any questions we had about beliefs, ceremonies, history, etc. It's a good idea to do your research beforehand though. Also it's important to note that some synagogues implement security measures you won't find at other places of worship (for sad yet obvious reasons) so definitely call ahead in case they require a name before a visit.

My argument is, if children are capable of making adult decisions, why don't we listen to them when they decide they don't want to go to school? Why don't we listen to them when they want pizza and ice cream for dinner every night? The left never has an answer for me.

There was a group of young man and coaches on my varsity football team who used to pray before and after every game. I live in a very liberal County in central California, and we never had any problems like this. This is absolutely disgusting, reaching out to God before or after a violent game can give one strength and Hope and is no one else's business why or when or where they're doing their worship.

I play devil's advocate when discussing ideas with my children so that they can learn critical thinking, and encourage them to not paint themselves in the corner over dogma. I enjoy listening to your podcast even if I don't always agree with your viewpoints. AND THAT IS OK!

When I was in 7th grade, an 8th grade science teacher who had worked for the district for many years and was a popular, well-liked teacher by many students and parents, was fired because he had a bible on his desk and wanted to keep it there. One student told their parents and the parents got mad, pressuring the kid to lie. The kid alleged that the teacher used a shock device to brand a cross shaped scar on his arm (this device doesn't leave marks), and the kid later admitted he was pressured to lie but the school still fired him, at the protest of many students, parents, and members of the community as a whole. He fought in court for many years but sadly he ultimately lost. Being fired hurt his family financially and led to his kids being treated differently because many people only heard the exaggerations and gossip that was complete bs. I completely understand schools wanting to make sure religion isn't promoted heavily like preaching or something like that, because it can lead to lawsuits, but why should people of faith be punished when their beliefs do not hurt anyone?

There should not be mandatory arrest laws. People should be responsible for themselves and press their own charges.
So, no people should not be immediately carted off to jail even for assault. The state should not be pressing charges. This is an example of government stepping in to protect an adult as though they were a child.
The government has been doing this so long that Ben even accepts government coddling as far as his generation was taught by the state.

In the 70s there was a bit of hysteria about communal child rearing like what was practiced in Israel in kibbutz. This was where the state took control or the reading and education of your children. The children did not live with the parents nor did the parents contribute financially to the child's rearing or education. This eventual fell out of favor. People really worried in the US that the govt would do this. Considering how much time children spend of their day in govt schools ( public) it seems that this is half way there. How much of what our children are taught in school are we aware of?

Theft is theft if it's not a voluntary exchange. It has nothing to with how much you get back in said exchange.
If someone came to my house and stole my money and said but "Don't worry! I'll mow your lawn every Saturday!" , it would still be theft. A weird situation, but still theft. Maybe I wanted to use that on fixing my car and I can mow my own lawn. Why does someone else get to choose what I have to do with my own money/property?

Ben, this is really great journalism and opinion. Historically the Communists sought ever to divide people along changing lines, expediency dictating often that those lines be drawn through the family. Any coherent social structure that challenges the centralizing state apparatus is sooner or later recognized and attempts are made to neutralize the threat. This has included the family unit. You are correct to point out the hard agenda behind this relatively soft type of social engineering. The creep of tyranny is perhaps initially incremental and seemingly benign. But through legal precedent, an individuality-crushing monstrosity can be birthed and live out its parasitic life, crushing generations in its wake. Please keep doing your work. You're one of the smartest of your generation. You have the courage and grit to stand up for what is right, in a world going terribly wrong. People need to hear what you're saying. They need to hear your warning, and to realize that they don't want the poison of fashionable Leftism.

Dr. Awesome If they come down, it should be by a majority vote and not succumbing to "the tyranny of minority", something from which the Constitution protect us.

I think that its important to keep this part of our history. I agree on Trump on this, its taking away our history. Its not a good part of our history, but the reason we study history is to learn from it. In some ways, its great to honor what we did right, but when we aknowledge our mistakes, is when our country truly grows.

The best argument is the slippery slope to Jefferson and Washington, and you can also bring up the idea that those who can not remember the past are condemned to repeat it

There were game of thrones jokes about a great wall, Donald of the watch, and Mexican white walkers. It was as you said it would be, but they weren't dank enough to be there own news story on a national scale.
